All I know is they look much more appealing than a dragon lady in an ill-fitting pantsuit.
Women's Party Bares All on Election Poster
The Polish Women's Party is looking to attract votes with a poster featuring seven naked candidates. "We are beautiful, nude, proud," says the party's founder.
A bit of nudity is a surefire attention-getter in conservative Poland. A recent magazine cover featuring a Photoshopped image of German Chancellor Angela Merkel breastfeeding the Kaczynski twins caused a furor. Now a new women's political party is raising eyebrows in the Catholic country with an election poster featuring the body politic in all its glory.
Seven Women's Party candidates for the upcoming Oct. 21 parliamentary election appear on the poster, completely naked but with their private parts hidden by a sign featuring the slogan "Everything for the future ... and nothing to hide."
"This poster is intended to shatter stereotypes in the anachronistic world of politics, which is more often dominated by uncommunicative men with their black tie outfits," the party's founder, novelist Manuela Gretkowska, told the news agency AFP. "We are beautiful, nude, proud," said Gretkowska, who herself appears on the poster. "This is not pornography, there is nothing to see in terms of sex. Our faces are intelligent, concerned, proud."
