Maybe They Can Patent the Word 'Losers'

What part of you lost do they not understand?
Well, you can't say the Super Bowl-losing New England Patriots are letting a little thing like the truth get in the way of hustling a quick buck.

The NFL team continues to chase a patently false trademark designation on the you're-so-dreaming phrases "19-0" and "19-0 The Perfect Season," according to documents.

As sports fans recall, the Pats suffered a crushing loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII - ending their season with an anything-but-perfect 18-1 record.

But in documents displayed on thesmokinggun.com, Beantown lawyer David Johanson amended the Pats' original US Patent and Trademark Office filings on April 11 - to correct a misspelling.

Seems the team wants to peddle toy banks - not toy "bans" - with the inflated perfecto logo.
Judging by the application, every item under the sun would have had the logo slapped on it.

Give it up.
