Desperate to Change the Subject From Housegate, McCain Arranges for Suspicious Delivery of White Powder to Campaign Offices

Just writing the nutroots talking points for them.

Question the timing.
FOX News is reporting that Senator John McCain's campaign office in Denver, Colorado received an envelope containing white powder and a threatening note on Thursday afternoon, and that the office has been evacuated.

Few details were immediately available, but FOX News says the letter was opened by a staffer at about 3 p.m. local time in Denver.
Fox is also reporting now that a threatening letter containing white powder was received at the Manchester, NH McCain office.

Clearly, Rove must be behind this.

Before I can even hit publish, they made the leap (via Ace).

Update: Unhinged moonbattery.
ben Says:

this sounds incredibly convenient. mccain sticks foot in mouth not knowing how rich he is with the homes quantity gaffe. all of a sudden a terrorist-related story develops just a few hours later. anything terror-related/scare the voters is good for republicans and at the very least shares time in the news cycle with mccain being an out of touch elitist.

10:1 someone within the mccain campaign is behind these threatening letters with white powder.

Strohdog Says:

Return to sender: Karl Rove.

Rufus Says:

A diversion for sure. Now we can talk endlessly about the envelopes with powder instead of his eight homes and Cindy not really meeting Mother Teresa. Hey, check the return address on the envelopes — bet it says Karl Rove, 123 Main Street, Anytown, USA.

offog Says:

Yep, could be a Karl Rove stunt, sowing more fear. This also gives Anne Coulter another excuse to rant about how liberals are all hate-mongering wild-eyed crazies.

all hail the hypno toad Says:

Are we sure it wasn’t chimpy sharing some of his coke?

Snowball Says:

This is too reminiscent of the time Karl Rove planted a bug in his candidate’s office to be discovered so they could blame his opponent.
Update: More idiots get in on the action.

So much hatred, so little time.

Update: Inmate may have sent white powder to McCain office
