NFL Week 11

We has a good introduction to Week 11 when the Jets knocked off the Patriots in overtime Thursday night, so we resume Week 11 with a 69-72-3 mark for the year. Quite a few decent games this weekend as we head into the homestretch of the NFL season. As with the past several weeks, the Giants and Titans remain the elite of the league, but many took notice of the rising Jets, who visit Nashville next Sunday. Waaaaay to early to look too far ahead, but it's been a long time since both the Jets and Giants were contenders this late in the same season, and already the chatter has begun. Too early for me, so let's just get to the games.

SUNDAY
GIANTS 7 Ravens: Been waiting eight years now for some payback after that brutal Super Bowl XXXV. Giants have league's best rushing attack, Baltimore is No. 1 against the the run, so expect Eli Manning to air things out. Joe Flacco can't keep pace. Giants 30-17

FALCONS -6.5 Broncos: Atlanta is quickly becoming a very good story. Has anyone even mentioned Michael Vick the last two months? Falcons get some payback for that brutal Super Bowl XXXIII. Falcons 33-23

DOLPHINS -10.5 Raiders: Teams traveling West to East are 0-237 this season. NFL hierarchy debating whether to relaunch NFL Europe in the hopes some city will take the Raiders off their hands. Dolphins 28-6

COLTS -8 Texans: Indy welcomes good friend Sage Rosenfels, who did more to jumpstart their season than Peyton Manning. Speaking of Manning, my respect for him has never been greater after his game in Pittsburgh last week. Five more years of this and he'll go out as the best quarterback ever in my eyes. Colts 34-24

PACKERS -3.5 Bears: Pack struggling at 4-5, but welcome the arrival of Rex Grossman, and could well be in a three-way tie for first place with a win. NFC North will be a death struggle with the winner likely at 9-7. Packers 27-20

BENGALS +9 Eagles: Philly had their guts ripped out by the Giants and are now in survival mode. They should win here, but it won't be easy. Eagles 33-31

Saints -5.5 CHIEFS: New Orleans is another team on life support, and while Chiefs have been plucky the past few weeks, they're still 1-8. Saints 37-20

PANTHERS -14 Lions: At 7-2, Carolina is supposedly one of the better teams in the NFC and have winless team at home. . So show me. Panthers 31-7

BUCCANEERS -4 Vikings: Good home team versus bad road team. And when the good home team can stop the run, four points is safe. Buccaneers 24-17

Rams +6.5 49ERS: There was a time when these teams played for an NFC title, the 1989 season to be specific. Now they're both dreadful to watch. 49ers 27-24

Cardinals +3 SEAHAWKS: Matt Hasselbeck might be returning, but the Seahags have little left. Cardinals already looking ahead to showdown with the Giants next week. Cardinals 31-21

JAGUARS +3 Titans: Jags another desperate team at 4-5 and who better to show up than the unbeaten Titans. Jaguars 23-20 in OT

Chargers +5 STEELERS: Steelers now very vulnerable at home and San Diego is another desperate team. Chargers 28-27

REDSKINS +1.5 Cowboys: The most overrated QB in the league supposedly returns, and the Skins have plans for him. As always, the Olbermann Rule it in effect. Redskins 24-17

MONDAY NIGHT
BILLS -5.5 Browns: Two disappointing teams, but the Bills can remain in contention with home win, Bills 27-20
