Finally: Crack Dealers Now Accepting Gift Cards

Maybe he can use them to bail himself out.

In tough economic times, merchants have to be flexible – even those selling crack cocaine.

An Athens man who allegedly accepted gift cards as payment for crack cocaine was arrested Monday night by Athens Police.

Anthony Delmar Anderson, 38, of 1927 Cain Drive was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his residence.

“He had been selling crack cocaine and prescription drugs,” said Capt. Marty Bruce. “Officers found 2 grams of crack cocaine, 11 Xanax pills, $899 in cash and $175 in department store gift cards.”

Bruce said Anderson was accepting the gift cards in exchange for crack cocaine.

Next thing you know crackheads will be using food stamps to buy drugs. Oh wait, they already do that.
