Montana Airport To TSA: You're Fired!

In yet another example of the bumbling inefficiency of the Transportation Security Agency a small airport in Bozeman, Montana is looking into firing the TSA and instead hiring a private firm to handle security after it was revealed that a passenger went through security with a gun in his luggage. The only reason it was discovered was because the passenger himself after realizing that he had a gun in his bags turned it in voluntarily.

In an unusual display of common sense, they confiscated the firearm and allowed the man to continue on. In most cases like this the airport goes on lockdown, every law enforcement agency within 100 miles is called in, planes are off loaded and general chaos ensues with the passenger eventually being charged and winding up with a court date.

You know like when a kid brings a plastic knife to a government school.
The incident occurred nearly two weeks before the alleged Christmas Day attempt to blow up a U.S. airliner reawakened widespread concern over airline safety.

Still, Gallatin Field Board Chairman Dick Roehm says he's disappointed at the lapse and the airport is looking into turning to a private company to handle security at the airport.

8 Year old Cub Scouts however will not be so lucky.
