Hard to Believe This Disguise Didn't Fool Anyone

I'm thinking maybe if he skipped the glasses he'd have gotten away with it.
Wearing an Afro wig, baseball cap, woman’s clothes and spectacles, this was the appearance of the kingpin at the centre of violence in Jamaica when he was finally arrested.

Described as one of the world’s most dangerous drugs barons, Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke, was on his way to a police station, accompanied by a preacher, when he was detained.

Coke, who is balding and usually wears a beard, was clean-shaven and travelling in a car that also contained a pink wig, police said.

The 42-year-old was born into gang royalty, allegedly running a smuggling operation that supplied drugs up and down the US East Coast. He is said to have used the proceeds to cast himself as a Jamaican Robin Hood, and his power grew to rival that of the prime minister.

That apparent reign was at an end last night, with Coke behind bars at a secret location and facing almost certain extradition to the US.

The threat of extradition sparked a week of violence in May that killed 76 people, but his capture after a month-long manhunt was surprisingly peaceful.
