The husband-hunting millionaire who plunked down a record-breaking $500,000 for a two-week Hamptons rental is being chased by enough suitors to fill the mega home's 14 bedrooms three times over.
Since The Post reported Cheryl Mercuris' plan to use the exquisite Bridgehampton mansion to land a lover yesterday, she has been inundated with phone calls and e-mails from guys looking to cozy up to the shapely single mom. "Cheryl I saw your article in the post I'm a young guy working in the brokerage business right here in Long Island," wrote one of her many gentleman e-mailers. "I would like to show you around."
The self-made, 40-something Florida entrepreneur says she has also received hundreds of friend requests on Facebook and been besieged by a torrent of text messages from well-heeled East Enders offering to set her up.
"It was worth every penny," the deep-pocketed divorcée told The Post. "I've never had more fun, and I've never met as many exciting people and such friendly people -- not to mention the publicity."
