'Elmo Got the Best of the Guy'

A busy week for Elmo. One minute he's checking out Katy Perry's cleavage, the next he's being attacked in a record store. At least he kicked some ass.

A man dressed as "Sesame Street" character Elmo was attacked at a music store in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday -- but got the better of his assailant, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

"Elmo got the best of the guy," Winter Park Police Lt. Wayne Farrell said. "He broke two of his fingers."

Farrell said the assailant, who was detained for mental health evaluation, thought Elmo was a threat, which led to the "unprovoked" attack at the Guitar Center on Orlando Ave, Winter Park, about 3:00pm local time.
