Barney Frank's Ace in the Hole: Michael Dukakis?

Barney Frank has called in the reinforcements.

I'm not sure if this is a sign of desperation or cockiness.

Desperation makes sense, because in the modern political lexicon "Michael Dukakis" has become synonymous with "D.O.A.", "laughingstock", and "Al Gore." But maybe Barney Frank feels lucky, and I suppose it's possible that Dukakis has regained finally found his mojo after decades of miserable liberal failure.

On the other hand, cockiness seems like a better fit here. This would certainly be more in line with Frank's true character, and just imagine if he ends up winning. He could brag that he called in Michael freakin' Dukakis at the 11th hour and still managed to save his bacon!

Yeah, I'm gonna go with cocky.

Let us commence with the predictable Bush-bash!
