Glimmer of Hope for Future of Liberalism: College Students Unable to Think Critically

Coming of a 10-day orgy of uncritical thinking from the left in the wake of the Arizona shootings, this study is rather timely, not to mention alarming.
An unprecedented study that followed several thousand undergraduates through four years of college found that large numbers didn't learn the critical thinking, complex reasoning and written communication skills that are widely assumed to be at the core of a college education.

Many of the students graduated without knowing how to sift fact from opinion, make a clear written argument or objectively review conflicting reports of a situation or event, according to New York University sociologist Richard Arum, lead author of the study. The students, for example, couldn't determine the cause of an increase in neighborhood crime or how best to respond without being swayed by emotional testimony and political spin.
Is it any wonder the Democrats are so reliant on the ignorance skulls full of mush being churned out? Needless to say, the media and public education likely will continue to swirl the drain.
Students majoring in business, education, social work and communications showed the least gains in learning. However, the authors note that their findings don't preclude the possibility that such students "are developing subject-specific or occupationally relevant skills."
Naturally, one kook uses this study to attack ... wait for it ... Sarah Palin!
Because despite what some people think, we don't need ill-educated people such as Sarah Palin, who makes it a point of pride to point to her lack of intellectual ability, leading our nation by using their gut feelings and not their brains to make decisions.
Yes, instead we need deep thinkers like our leader of all 57 states.

Why are you putting all the blame on liberals and Democrats? Stats show the students from Democrat leaning states tend to score higher than from Republican leaning states. Critical thinking begins at a young age. Maybe America needs some of those atheist communist Asian moms to whip our kids' minds to shape.
