Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie is ending his quest to reveal more information about President Barack Obama's Hawaii birth because it's against state law to release private documents. Thanks for clearing that up, Guv.
Abercrombie spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz said Friday that state Attorney General David Louie told the governor he can't disclose birth documentation without consent.
Dela Cruz said there's nothing more Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document of Obama's birth.
Abercrombie launched an effort last month to find a way to end doubt about Obama's Aug. 4, 1961, birth.

Is the Governor of Hawaii a Total Moron?
So this idiot was declaring war on birthers, huh? Funny though, he can't find that birth certificate. And even if he could, it would be illegal to release it.
Excuse me? I was under the impression birth records are PUBLIC info.
ReplyDeleteObama could give his consent. I wonder why he woildn”t?
ReplyDeleteI live in Hawaii and yes, he is a total idiot. But like NY and CA the people get what they deserve........
ReplyDeleteSo I gather this makes HAs Guv a "closet birther".
ReplyDeleteHe knows the truth, but is afraid to come out of the closet with it.... So he stays in the closet along with the truth...
Birth certificates and death certificates are, in most states, quasi public records. The requester generally must be the person whose record it is (except for death certificates!), an immediate relative, or someone with a reason to need it. Curiosity is not sufficient. Autopsy reports are public in most states.
ReplyDeleteA commenter on another site reamed birthers after the "Republican" governor of Hawaii quashed the investigation. Huh?
