Gloria Allred Hits Rock Bottom

For all the depths plumbed by the parasitic Gloria Allred over the years, and it's been a horrific litany of shameless exploitation by any standards of decency, this display yesterday in suburban New York may have been the most odious. We all know the pathetic story of former NFL great Lawrence Taylor, who yesterday received a wrist-slap for his exploits with an under-aged girl and then proceeded to further embarrass himself on Fox News. Yet since this happened last year the girl's identity has been kept secret, and for good reason as she was exploited not only by Taylor but the man who kept her against her will.

So why on earth is this abominable Allred trotting out the poor girl to give a shaky, prepared statement? Well, aside from the obvious money and attention it brings? Who thinks it's a good idea to expose this girl to even more humiliation? And the kicker? While she on camera, Allred says she won't be identifying her.

Lovely.

Linda Stasi in the New York Post rips Allred to shreds.

The one who seemingly endangered the welfare of a minor is the victim's new attorney, Gloria Allred. When that media hound in a Chanel suit brought the underage accuser/victim out for a press conference in front of the courthouse, the DA should have slapped the cuffs on her.

She was the one who damaged that girl by exposing her to the media, even though her identity had been scrupulously guarded by the courts and the media ever since the incident last May.

Here's what's even sadder. Allred, who can sniff out a camera like a truffle dog, showed up with the kid not to stand up for her in court -- but to walk her, like a paid escort, to the media circus she'd helped to create.

Allred, who tragically seems to have been born without the gene for shame, introduced the victim to the press by saying: "Our client, who we are not going to identify by name . . ."

What? You mean it's OK that we can all see her face now? That poor kid who's been through hell is now as recognizable as a contestant on "American Idol" -- but for all the very wrong reasons.

That press conference should get Allred arrested for trafficking in the misery of a minor.

Yet there is Allred, shamefully clinging to this girl like like she's a daughter. I guess she's already discarded Meg Whitman's former maid in exchange for a new victim to exploit, another opportunity to preen for the cameras.

What a horrible, horrible human being. If you need a palate cleanser, stick around as Taylor's lawyer comments on Allred's display. There are no winners in this episode, but at least Arthur Aidala provides a few laughs.

I'm not one for hitting women, but dang does she need a serious beating.

People in general were a lot more polite back when ugly behavior could result in being shot in the street. We have gotten so civilized that we are no longer civil.

Did this girl tell Taylor her age? Ask for help maybe?

"A whore should be judged by the same criteria as other professionals offering services for pay — such as dentists, lawyers, hairdressers, physicians, plumbers, etc. Is she professionally competent? Does she give good measure? Is she honest with her clients?
It is possible that the percentage of honest and competent whores is higher than that of plumbers and much higher than that of lawyers. And enormously higher than that of professors." (My side note: Incomparably higher than politicians)

Rober A Heinlein - my favorite. I can not understand why they've never made a motion picture based on my favoriet Heinlein novel "Farnham's Freehold". It would be a monster as they say in Hollywood.

And his Juvenile novels were my favorites. I couldn't read them fast enough once I discovered his writings. Too damn bad I have forgotten so much of his work that I read as a young teen.Great writer of sci-fi to say the least. And a conservative to add to things.

One last warning - watch out for Stobor.
