News From Bizarro-World: 'Peaceful Protest Ends With 14 Arrests'

This is taking peacefulness to a whole new level.
A day of peaceful but spirited demonstrations in Lansing Wednesday, turned violent last night.

The sit-in style protest had attracted more than 3,000 people, inside and outside the capitol building. They were there to oppose Governor Rick Snyder’s budget plans.

But as the capitol police attempted to close the building just before 6pm Wednesday, a small group of protestors tried to move in.

Michigan State Police Captain Gary Nix tells WWJ, there was some resistance from the protestors, and police had to use Pepper spray at one point, as officers dealt with the protestors:

“They were here to occupy the building and demanded that the building stay open. We interacted with them and tried to come to some sort of compromise, but in the end, we ended up arresting 14 people”.
If they were any more peaceful the National Guard would be called in.

Meanwhile, one peaceful protester came prepared.
One person arrested at Wednesday's protests at the Capitol was armed with a weapon and faces felony charges, Michigan State Police said.

State Police troopers arrested 14 people during a rowdy protest of Gov. Rick Snyder's budget bills. One of them was a man who allegedly broke into the Capitol through a window and assaulted officers, state police said. The man was armed with a sharp-edged weapon, state police said.
It's apparently a new media practice to not name these violent but peaceful protesters who come armed.

Hmm... this happened in Michigan.... the state has one of the largest Muslim populations, if not the largest, in the USA. Could it have been someone of the Muslim faith?

    just a guess...
