'He Came Across as a Big Pervert'

I don't mind so much whether Arnold Schwarzeneggar was getting his freak on at the Playboy Mansion. What's more disturbing is his odd fascination with the Mayor of New York City.
A new book on Arnold Schwarzenegger claims he once spent two hours at a party at the Playboy mansion locked in a room with a pin-up -- and Hugh Hefner may have a videotape of what happened behind the closed door.

In "The Governator," investigative journalist Ian Halperin quotes an unnamed person who he describes as a female producer who met Schwarzenegger at a cigar bar in Santa Monica in 2006.

She said: "I was shocked because he was married. Arnold was all over us trying to get us to go home with him. He plied us with alcohol and kept making the moves on us all night . . . He came across as a big pervert."
Not only is he a pervert, he's totally delusional.
The book says Schwarzenegger's dream is to run for US president. But because he was born in Austria he'd first have to amend the Constitution, which prevents foreign-born citizens from holding the top job. Halperin writes that if he couldn't go for it, then Schwarzenegger would "get behind" Mayor Bloomberg.

He quotes a strategist who said Schwarzenegger "made a joke about how Bloomberg has more money than he and that with their money put together they could just buy the White House" and "go to Washington together and be the real 'Twins.' "

Schwarzenegger Yuks It Up Over SB 1070

Funny guy. I bet Californians would like to see him deported anywhere.
"I was also to go and give a commencement speech in Arizona, but with my accent I was worried they were going to deport me back to Austria," said Schwarzenegger.

The governor has said he's strongly opposed to the Arizona law. He says the attempt to control illegal immigration will create a "mess."
Yeah, unlike the mess California is in becasue of millions of illegals.

There's video at the link. I'd add it here but there are problems with their embed code.

Nothing to laugh about, asshole.

Girlie-Man!

Schwarzenegger ends support for Calif oil drilling

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is withdrawing his support of a plan to expand oil drilling off the California coast, citing the environmental tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaking during a news conference Monday, Schwarzenegger said television images of the oil spill in the Gulf have changed his mind about the safety of ocean-based oil platforms.

The Republican RINO governor had proposed expanding oil drilling off the coast of Santa Barbara to help close the state's $20 billion budget deficit, so withdrawing his support essentially kills the idea since he would have to include it in his May budget revision.

Obama's New BFF Seeking Bailout for California

Is it any wonder this stooge gave Obama an 'A' grade the other day? Talk about the punchy telegraphing their punches.
Facing a budget deficit of more than $20 billion, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to call for deep reductions in already suffering local mass transit programs, renew his push to expand oil drilling off the Santa Barbara coast and appeal to Washington for billions of dollars in federal help, according to state officials and lobbyists familiar with the plan.

If Washington does not provide roughly $8 billion in new aid for the state, the governor threatens to severely cut back -- if not eliminate -- CalWORKS, the state's main welfare program; the In-Home Health Care Services program for the disabled and elderly poor, and two tax breaks for large corporations recently approved by the Legislature, the officials said.

Schwarzenegger also will propose extending a cut in the state payroll that is scheduled to expire this summer. That cut has translated into 200,000 state workers being furloughed three days a month, the equivalent of a 14% pay cut. Lawmakers would have the option of extending the furloughs, imposing layoffs or some combination of the two.
I'm all for drilling off the coast, but that'll never happen, especially if his boss Obama bails them out. In fact it'll never happen so long as the obstructionist Democrats are running California (into the ground) and Washington. Why have energy independence while we can be submissive to the eco-nuts from the EPA? Eliminating CalWORKS is also a fantastic idea, but that's also a total fantasy.

California's problem is onerous taxation and overzealous regulation have driven many of the producers out of the state leaving everyone else footing the tab. When you have a massive welfare state it eventually collapses. They have no choice but to beg Washington for a bailout but with the current public mood and backlash to Washington growing by the day, can the Democrats afford that? No, they can't afford anything they're doing but since they're spending us into oblivion, bailing out California is chump change compared to where we're heading.

Punchy California Governor Gives Obama an 'A' for Effort

I have to figure he's angling for some sort of czar appointment when his term is over. Maybe he can be the Steroid Abuse Czar or something. Apparently it's some combination of steroids and blows to the head that have him giving this miserable failure a grade of 'A' for his disastrous first year in office. Heck, even the megalomaniac himself could only come up with a "solid B+" and that was met with widespread derision.
Not every Republican is a critic of President Obama. At least one thinks the president is doing a fine job – at least when it comes to the effort involved in being the country’s chief executive.

Asked to give Obama a grade as the end of the president’s first year in office approaches, Arnold Schwarzenegger, California’s Republican governor, gave Obama high marks.

“When it comes to effort, [Obama] should get a straight A,” Schwarzenegger told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King in an interview that aired Sunday on State of the Union.

“He’s out there with tremendous energy and he’s selling his ideas. And he has great enthusiasm there. He’s a great speaker, a great communicator.”
Great communicator? Hello? Anybody home? The guy can't put a sentence together without the aid of a TelePrompter and he's a great communicator? He could hardly sell his healthcare scam to his own party and they had to ram it through in the dead of night. I always knew this guy was a RINO. Now he even makes them look bad.

California Rejects Massive Tax Increases: 'The Biggest Loser Would Be Arnold'

Terminated

It's a shame we can't put King Obama's massive tax increases on a ballot measure. Well, we always have the 2010 midterms. He can't say he hasn't been warned.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to permanently fix California's "broken budget system." But three times now he has tried and failed to smooth out the state's roller coaster revenues.

Voters on Tuesday resoundingly rejected his latest effort, a package of budget-balancing measures that he promised would provide a short-term patch for the current financial crisis and prevent further catastrophe in the future.

Instead, he now faces a $21.3 billion budget deficit and a budget system that has not changed a bit since he took office nearly six years ago.

"I think he's discovered that this job is a lot harder than he anticipated in a state of economic downturn," Treasurer Bill Lockyer said Tuesday of the governor who came into office in 2003 promising to "end the crazy deficit spending."

The Republican governor faces another tough round of budget negotiations after months spent haggling with lawmakers to close the state's first budget shortfall, which was initially $42 billion through June 2010.

Schwarzenegger will be forced to spend much of his final year-and-a-half in office struggling with the same financial woes that led to the recall of his predecessor instead of enacting the sweeping policy changes he once envisioned.

"The biggest loser would be Arnold," said Dave McCuan, a political science professor at Sonoma State University. "It's time to start looking for a cabinet post in the Obama administration or an ambassadorship someplace warm."
Ouch.

The measure lost in every county in the state and at last count was defeated by 65.8%-34.2%.

The message? Even a very blue state like California doesn't like taxes.

Perhaps the national GOP can fashion a message off of these results.

Is it any wonder Schwarzenegger was hanging out in DC with his new pal Obama instead of remaining in California?
Afterward, the lawmakers appeared split over the idea of a federal backstop for state borrowing, said Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Gold River). And some saw irony in Schwarzenegger's appearance in Washington while voters decided the fate of his ballot package back home.

"If the governor thought that the initiatives were going to win a smashing victory, he'd be in California right now," said Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks).

As California Goes; So Goes The Nation

Take a state legislature that's dominated by neocoMs, add a healthy measure of moonbats, then swirl with a RINO governor and you can reasonably conclude how this will turn out.

State to Look Closer at Caffeine as Health Hazard

A state environmental health committee Monday voted to further study the stimulant caffeine for possible inclusion on California's list of substances known to cause cancer or reproductive harm.

By law, the governor must publish an updated Proposition 65 list of harmful chemicals each year. Inclusion on the list also requires that the chemicals be publicly posted and also appear on product labels.

The earliest the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment's Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification panel make a decision on adding caffeine to the list would be next year. The Proposition 65 designation would only apply to products with caffeine added artificially, not naturally-occurring caffeine products like coffee and tea. Five of seven committee members would have to approve the listing.

The committee has already looked at caffeine research for the last 10 years and found studies associated the chemical to reproductive problems.

The American Beverage Association defends caffeine consumption, citing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the March of Dimes as saying up to two cups of coffee daily -- including for pregnant women -- is a safe amount.

Good News: California May Release 20,000 Prisoners

It's a budget crisis, one that will pale in comparison to the crisis of having an additional 20,000 criminals running loose.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is proposing the early release of more than 20,000 low-risk prison inmates as a way to save money amid a worsening budget crisis.

The Sacramento Bee reported on its Web site Thursday that the governor will ask California lawmakers to authorize the release of certain non-serious, nonviolent offenders. The prisoners would have less than 20 months to go on their terms.

Sex offenders would not be eligible for release under the proposal.

The plan would cut the prison population by 22,159 inmates and save the state $256 million in the fiscal year that begins July 1, the Bee reported. Savings could reach $780 million through 2010.
Of course, they fail to calculate how much future crimes perpetrated by those released early will cost the state.

ABC at Qualcomm: Can Someone Start Rioting Please?

The lamestream media is desperately trying to create chaos out of a terrible situation in Southern California and the evacuees at Qualcomm Stadium lamentably aren't doing their part. The template has been set: We must create another Katrina.

This pathetic headline sums up the national media's futility to create panic and despair.

How Long Will the Good Vibes Last at Qualcomm Stadium?
Half a million Southern Californians have evacuated their homes in the face of vicious wildfires, and thousands of them have found refuge at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium.

But unlike the grim conditions faced by Hurricane Katrina evacuees at the Superdome in New Orleans, the evacuees in San Diego are whiling away the hours California style — with yoga, acupuncture, massages and even gourmet buffet tables.
They go on to tell some nice stories of human kindness, but that just won't do, apparently.

We need despair, damnit! Thank goodness local media in California isn't playing the game and is helping keep people informed with the facts, rather than creating chaos.

But I guess people behaving and keeping cool doesn't sell, And just who do these people think they are evacuating when told to do so and refusing to play the victim?

Meanwhile, CNN President Jon Klein, who sneered that a blogger who helped take down Dan Rather was "sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing," has decided to use the wildfires to help promote CNN propaganda.

I'm wondering whether Matt Drudge was in his jammies when he received this:
CNN MEMO: USE FIRES TO 'PUSH' 'PLANET IN PERIL' SERIES; DON'T 'IRRESPONSIBLY' TIE TO GLOBAL WARMING
Thu Oct 18 2007 14:11:42 ET

According to notes from CNN's Monday news meeting network president Jon Klein tells employees to use the California fire tragedy to "push" their "Planet in Peril" special, but warns reporters not to "irresponsibly link" the fires to "Global Warming."

NewsBusters exposes further media perfidy here and here, as the intellectual pygmies from MSNBC and CBS laughably try and connect the wildfires to global warming and Iraq.

Thankfully, Governor Schwarzenegger isn't playing along.
SHIPMAN: So, you think the comparison to Katrina that everybody's making in the back of their mind these days is a good one in terms of state and federal.

SCHWARZENEGGER: All you have to do is just look around here and see how happy people are. No one is screaming. No one is complaining about anything.

SHIPMAN: Well, you're saying everybody's working together, but you have heard there have been some complaints from officials. For example, in Orange County who say, 'If we'd only had more resources earlier, more planes, more firefighting resources, we might have been able to head off the fires ravaging Orange County right now.'

SCHWARZENEGGER: Anyone that is complaining about the planes just wants to complain because it's a bunch of nonsense. The fact is that we have all the planes in the world here. We have 90 aircraft here and they can't fly because of the wind situation.

SHIPMAN: At one point, he even employed a heavy weight grip to make his case. The point he was making, you have to be ready to fly --

[Schwarzenegger grips Shipman's arm and starts vigorously shaking it.]

SCHWARZENEGGER: Trust me when I tell you, you're looking for a mistake and you won't find it because it's all good news, as much as you maybe hate it, but it's good news. Trust me, okay?

Hundreds of Bills in California Face Friday Deadline

It's the annual Chicken Little Convention in Cal-ee-for-nee-ah and members of the state legislature must decide if they have the courage of their convictions. Here's something that doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Progressive hell.
A bill by Assemblyman Joel Anderson, R-La Mesa, would require the Public Employees Retirement System and the State Teachers Retirement System to sell off any investments they have in companies that have energy- or defense-related business in Iran.
Read on to see what's really important on the Left Coast.
