'Bitch Set Me Up!'

That appears to be the very flimsy excuse offered up by New Jersey knucklehead Thomas Earle to his wife after he was busted at a New York hotel with Eliot Spitzer's hooker, as we noted Thursday.

Seriously, I don't think I've heard this one since Marion Barry was caught hitting the crackpipe in a hotel about 20 years ago.

Even more pathetic, it appears Alisa Earle might even buy it, or maybe she's just going to make this schlub squirm.

The New Jersey asphalt prince who's been stepping out with the hot-bodied hooker who brought down Gov. Eliot Spitzer told his beautiful bride he was "set up" by the notorious prostitute - and his wife is buying the story, sources told The Post.

But just in the past month, construction hunk Thomas "TJ" Earle was bragging to a pal about flirting with Ashley "Kristen" Dupre at a restaurant: "She was hanging all over me last night - I could have had her for free!" sources said yesterday.

A week later, a source saw Dupre with Earle at a local bar, where she was "drooling all over him like a schoolgirl."

The Post exclusively revealed yesterday that 23-year-old Dupre and Earle, 35, stayed at the Gramercy Park Hotel Tuesday night after spending a long, romantic day together drinking, dining and shopping - as apparently unsuspecting wife Alisa stayed at home in Wall, NJ, with the Earles' two young daughters.

Even more shockingly, sources said that Earle and his gorgeous blond wife spend their wedding anniversary at that same hotel each year.

"I think [Dupre's] getting off on being a home-wrecker," said an outraged source, who knows the trollop.

During her big day walking the streets of the Big Apple with Earle, Dupre was dressed in an ultra-short leather skirt and hooker heels, displaying the charms that enticed Spitzer, who resigned in March after a Feb. 13 rendezvous with the escort in a Washington hotel room came to light.

After a reporter tried to confront Alisa and TJ at their McMansion about his tryst, the wayward hubby told his wife that Dupre "set him up" - and 36-year-old Alisa believes him, sources said.

But just before going to New York with Dupre, a source said TJ told Alisa that he was going on a business trip to Colorado. He asked his wife to go with him, knowing that she'd turn him down, the source added.

Spitzer Hooker Still Getting Around

No word whether she was getting $4000 a hour from this guy, but she might want to keep a lower profile, especially when she's out and about with wealthy married men.

Oh, and this guy may want to start visiting divorce lawyers, because you can bet your ass his wife is going to freak out when she sees today's New York Post.

She sure gets around.

Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer's hot-bodied hooker Ashley "Kristen" Dupre spent a day - and night - catting around Manhattan with the hunky, rich scion of a major New Jersey asphalt company who lives with a beautiful wife and their two kids fewer than two miles from Dupre's family home.

The pretty woman, 23, and 35-year-old Thomas J. "TJ" Earle were spied ducking into the Gramercy Park Hotel, where they rented a room Tuesday after a long day drinking, dining, shopping and snuggling together in limos around the Big Apple, sources told The Post.

The two then separately left the Gramercy the next afternoon, after spending much of 24 hours in each other's company. They walked out of the hotel 10 minutes apart, seemingly to avoid being photographed together.

Dupre, the curvy prostitute known as "Kristen," whose trysts with Spitzer led to his resignation, then hopped into a black Range Rover and sped off. She refused to answer questions from a reporter. A closed-mouthed Earle caught a ride home in a black Chevy Suburban.

The dumbass Earle has some unfortunate timing.

Earle's cozy date with Dupre might have been kept hush-hush if they had not chosen to reserve a room at the Gramercy on the same day Lindsay Lohan and her DJ lover, Samantha Ronson, were staying there. Lohan's presence drew a swarm of paparazzi, one of whom recognized Dupre when she got out of a car with Earle.

D'oh!

Some amusing irony as well.

The Earle Companies' Web site says, "We understand that our reputation for honesty and integrity took many years to build, but that it can be destroyed in just a few moments."

Spitzer Hooker: Hey, I'm Still Here!

Apparently unaware her 15 minutes are up, Eliot Spitzer's high-priced prostitute has checked her email and updated her MySpace page. The media dutifully complies by presenting this as news.

Somehow she's still reaping the benefits as some knuckleheads are still buying her "music" online.

Whatever.

Speaking of Spitzer, the man he tried to ruin, Joseph Bruno, has announced his retirement.

Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, the state's most powerful Republican, announced last night that he won't seek re-election in November - and will step down as leader as soon as today.

Bruno, 79, of upstate Rensselaer County, who has been under federal investigation for two years in connection with his outside business dealings, first made the announcement at a closed-door meeting of Republican senators, many of whom appeared stunned.

Bruno, a senator for the past 32 years, the majority leader since 1995, a successful businessman and a former Army boxing champion, said he had decided not to seek re-election because, "It is time to move on with my life and to give my constituents an opportunity for new representation, and my colleagues in the Senate who have supported me an opportunity for new leadership.

Bruno has some possible legal issues and some consider this a way to gracefully exit and avoid indictment.

Some political insiders said they suspect Bruno, whose party holds just a one-seat majority in the Senate, decided not to seek re-election as part of an arrangement to avoid indictment by the Northern District US Attorney's Office.

His aides strongly denied that.

The feds have been probing his private business dealings, including his representation of a Connecticut-based investment company that did business with major New York unions.

Sleazefest! Spitzer Hooker Sues 'Girls Gone Wild' Founder

Apparently that singing career isn't quite panning out and since Eliot Spitzer is out of business, I guess a girl needs to make a living.

So Ashley Alexandra Dupre does what any normal girl would do at this juncture of her, um, career: sue somebody!

The call girl who triggered the downfall of former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer sued the founder of the racy "Girls Gone Wild" videos today for $10 million, claiming her image and name are being exploited.

Oh, the irony, a professional whore complaining of being exploited.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre also contended in the lawsuit that she was only 17 -- too young to sign legally binding contracts -- and drunk on spring break in 2003 when she agreed to be filmed for "Girls Gone Wild" in Miami Beach.

Dupre "did not understand the magnitude of her actions, nor that her image and likeness would be displayed in videos and DVDs," says the lawsuit filed by Miami attorney Richard C. Wolfe.

Sure, she had no idea. That's why she was slutting it up while drunk at age 17.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Miami names as defendants "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis, two of his companies and a man purportedly involved in creation of two Internet sites the lawsuit contends improperly use Dupre to sell DVDs and other products.

Francis, 35, has built a soft porn empire filming and marketing videos of young women exposing their breasts and being shown in other sexually provocative situations often at public events such as Mardi Gras or beach spring break locales.

We Still Have Eliot Spitzer to Kick Around

Looks like the disgraced former governor of New York needed help in certain situations.

A second call girl has provided federal investigators with details of Eliot Spitzer's fondness for high-priced hookers, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

The lady of the night, who was intimately acquainted with the disgraced governor's pay-for-play sessions, backs up details given to the feds by Ashley Alexandra Dupre, 22, a bombshell brunette who allegedly was a favorite Spitzer hooker, the sources said.

It's unclear whether the second woman was associated with Emperors Club VIP - the brothel that dispatched Dupre to entertain Spitzer in Washington, DC.

The owner and three employees of Emperors Club were indicted a week before word of Spitzer's involvement broke.

Spitzer - identified in the Emperors Club criminal complaint as "Client-9" - was caught Feb. 13 on a federal wiretap arranging for Dupre, whom he knew as "Kirsten," to be delivered to his room at the Mayflower Hotel.

In the complaint, "Kirsten" insisted she didn't find the ex-governor very "difficult," even though her madam warned that he might want "unsafe" sex.

Law-enforcement sources said Spitzer didn't like to wear a condom.

The second hooker-informant also told investigators Spitzer was fond of using sex toys to enhance his own pleasure, the sources said.

"The full portrait of Mr. Spitzer's sexual interests has yet to be told," one source said.

'King of All Pimps' Claims He Gave Dupre Her Start, Charlie Sheen Previous Customer

Take anything from this guy with a grain of salt, but it probably does check out, save for any embellishing.

Ashley Alexandra Dupré hit New York City in 2004 as a teenager with big dreams, but quickly fell into the shadowy world of hustlers, wanna-be celebs and high-class hookers.

Instead of record deals, she got an offer from a high-class prostitution ring called NY Confidential.

Jason Itzler claimed he met Dupré in the Gansevoort Hotel and she instantly caught his eye. Itzler said he gave the then-19-year-old his card and she called him two days later after visiting the NY Confidential Web site.

"She says, 'Hey, Jason ... I want to work for you.' When I caught my breath, I said, 'Do you know what I do?'" he claimed. "She's like, 'Yeah.' I said, 'Get over here.'"

He rechristened the Jersey-girl-turned-call-girl "Victoria," and she quickly became a favorite of the Confidential clientele - four years before she became $4,300 hooker "Kristen" and torpedoed Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

Itzler, 41, the self-proclaimed "King of All Pimps," claimed Dupré, a sexy brunette with a fetching smile and a colorful tatoo on her left shoulder, attracted a large and grateful clientele, earning tens of thousands of dollars a month.

In a truly shocking development, Itzler claims Charlie Sheen was one of her customers.

Itzler claimed Dupré was "Victoria" - one of the women dressed as cheerleaders whom he sent to actor Charlie Sheen for a night of role playing that hit the gossip pages two years ago.

Itzler, who pleaded guilty in 2006 to running the $25,000-a-night prostitution ring, said he recognized Dupré after seeing her photo while appearing Wednesday on CNN.

He went home and looked up her MySpace.com page to check out more pictures.

Dupré, despite her tender age, was a workaholic who was on the job six days a week, Itzler claimed. She was often called for repeat business.

Not surprisingly, Ashley's tale of coming from a broken home was nonsense.

Born Ashley Youmans, Dupre grew up in Seaside Heights and Wall Township by the Jersey Shore. She also mentioned being abused while growing up, saying it forced her to run away - a claim one family friend called ridiculous.

"She crashed up [her stepdad's] Porsche and wanted another one, and he wouldn't give it to her, so she left," said the friend, who asked her name not be printed.

Ka-ching! Dupre Could Hook Up With Penthouse

I wonder if Silda will let Eliot look at the pictures?

The offers are already coming for the woman at the center of the Eliot Spitzer call-girl scandal. She's wanted on the pages of Penthouse.

The magazine has been trying to reach out to 22-year-old Ashley Alexandra Dupre, but has not succeeded.

Penthouse Magazine Group president and publisher Diane Silberstein says Penthouse would "love to have her in the magazine" and would consider offering her a cover shot.

Dupre has been identified in news reports as the prostitute whose hotel-room tryst with the New York governor led to his resignation Wednesday.

Hey, why not? She was moaning about how she was going to pay for the rent at her posh Manhattan pad, is familiar with taking off her clothes for money, and it's pretty obvious that singing career isn't going anywhere.

Good News: Spitzer Still Facing Charges

We still have Eliot Spitzer to kick around, and honestly, we're relishing every bit of it.

Maybe he should have thought about the 10,000-pound anvil named karma crashing down on him when he was beating up on innocent people, ruining lives, and throwing thousand of dollars around on prostitutes.

So word this morning is this stooge faces a host of charges, according to "experts" in the know.

Experts say "Client 9" could face the following charges:

* Money laundering for trying to conceal the source and recipient of financial transactions.
* Tax evasion, if he was a knowing party to an all-cash business that wasn't filing taxes.
* Violation of the Mann Act for paying for the trip from New York to D.C. by the call girl known as "Kristen."
* Misuse of state resources, if he used his state-issued credit card for hotels or meals with prostitutes as well as if he was being protected by State Troopers during his dalliances.
* And finally, soliciting prostitution.

There's also the question of whether Spitzer used campaign funds for these trysts, which opens up a whole other litany of charges from fraud to federal election violations.

We can only hope he was dumb enough to do that.

Court documents and published reports indicate perhaps as much as $80,000 were transferred from Spitzer's account to a trio of dummy companies that were fronts for the escort service.

Meanwhile, Spitzer's wife Silda has booted the Love Guv from the bedroom of their posh Fifth Avenue pad, where, thanks to his daddy, he lives rent-free.

Don't feel that sorry for Silda though, as she's also a bit of a hypocrite.

A decade ago, as she watched then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton humiliated by her intern-loving hubby, Silda Wall Spitzer made clear her intentions if Eliot ever cheated.

"That would never be me. I'd be gone," Silda told friends, a pal told The Post.

But Silda, for the second time in a week, donned a tailored designer skirt suit and appeared to be standing by her hooker-loving hubby yesterday, even as the fairy tale has soured behind closed doors.

Meet 'Kristen', the Woman Who Saved the World From Spitzer

Earlier we gave you a taste of Kristen, the girl who thankfully spared us the remaining 33 months of the Spitzer administration.

Well, now we know exactly who she is.

Having never partaken in $1000 an hour prostitutes, I'll leave it up to you to offer if she's worth it.

She left a broken home on the Jersey Shore at 17 and came to New York City to work the nightclubs as a rhythm and blues singer. Now, at 22, she is the unwitting, and as yet unseen, star of the seamy drama that is the downfall of Gov. Eliot Spitzer of New York.

Kristen, described in a federal affidavit as having a Feb. 13 rendezvous with Mr. Spitzer at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, has spent the last few days in her ninth-floor rental in an upscale apartment building in the Flatiron district. On Monday, she made a brief appearance in federal court as a witness in the case against four people charged with operating the prostitution ring, Emperor’s Club V.I.P. In a series of telephone interviews on Tuesday night, she said she had slept very little over the past week due to the stress from the case.

“I just don’t want to be thought of as a monster,” the woman said as she told the tiniest tidbits of her story. Born Ashley Youmans but now known as Ashley Alexandra Dupre, she spoke softly and with good humor as she added with significant understatement: “This has been a very difficult time. It is complicated.”

She has not been charged. The lawyer appointed to represent her, Don D. Buchwald, told a magistrate judge in court on Monday that she had been subpoenaed to testify in a grand jury investigation. Asked to swear that she had accurately filled out and signed a court financial affidavit, she responded affirmatively.

A person with knowledge of the Emperor’s Club operation confirmed that the woman interviewed by The New York Times was the woman identified as Kristen in the affidavit. Mr. Buchwald confirmed various details of Ms. Dupre’s background but would not discuss the contents of the affidavit.
