The long anticipated indictment of former NYPD Commissioner
Bernard Kerik has
arrived, and with it, expect a media avalanche focusing on GOP frontrunner Rudy Giuliani.
Fair enough. Giuliani appointed him and will no doubt be straightforward and open in his answers and there's no question
he will not defend him.
But if the media, leftwing blogs and Hillary Clinton's poodles at Media Matters want to play
gotcha, we'll have no problem with Giuliani being grilled so long as Mrs. Clinton and her husband answer questions about their associations with known criminals and others of ill repute.
I say it's a fair tradeoff.
Indicted fundraiser Norman Hsu for starters would be nice, since he's recently been in the news.
Clinton adviser Sandy Berger should also be subject to questions.
In fact, let's take a stroll down
memory hole lane and revisit some other interesting names the media long ago forgot or never mentioned in the first place, shall we?
If the administration is serious about stamping out organized crime, it could begin by cleaning out its own house. Here's just a partial, quickie list of the felony convictions in and around Bill Clinton since he took office: Webster Hubbell, Jim McDougal, Susan McDougal, Gov. Jim Guy Tucker, David Hale, Robert W. Palmer, Chris Wade, Neal T. Ainley, Henry Espy, Michael Brown, Eugene Lum, Nora Lum and Johnny Chung.
Then there are those indicted or targeted for indictment: Ron Brown, Herby Branscum, Mike Espy, Henry Cisneros, Archie Schaefer, Charlie Trie, Maria Hsia, Nolanda Hill, Bruce Babbitt, Ron Carey, Monica Lewinsky and Webster Hubbell (again).
Then come the executive privilege claims: Bruce Lindsey, Sidney Blumenthal, Hillary Clinton, Secret Service agents and James Hamilton.
Let's not forget about Clinton's criminal associates -- from Jorge Cabrera to Dan Lasater to Wang Jun.
And, perhaps, the biggest benchmark of criminal conspiracy -- the Fifth Amendment pleadings and refusal to answer under oath: Susan McDougal, Susan Thomases, Webster Hubbell (again), Maggie Williams, Bruce Lindsey, Hillary Clinton, John Huang, Johnny Chung, David Wang, Keshi Zhan, Gin F.J. There are approximately 115 names listed, and this goes back nearly 10 years.
Just imagine how many more dubious connections the Clintons have made in the time since.
Has anyone covering Mrs. Clinton's presidential campaign asked a
single question about
any of the above people?

already breathing heavily over Kerik.
