Michelle Obama thinks being America’s First Lady is ‘hell’, Carla Bruni reveals today in a wildly indiscreet new book.

Miss Bruni reveals that Mrs Obama replied when asked about her position as the U.S. president’s wife: ‘Don’t ask! It’s hell. I can’t stand it!’

Details of the private conversation, which took place at the White House during an official visit by Nicolas Sarkozy last March, emerged in Carla And The Ambitious, a book written in collaboration with Miss Bruni.

Living large on the taxpayer dime of a downright mean country must be so taxing. All the luxurious trips just can't help make it any better, huh?

Expect the requisite denial and trashing of Bruni to commence at any moment.

The hard-line, regime-backed daily Kayhan, which already had called the wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy a "prostitute," said her lifestyle meant she deserved a fate similar to that of the doomed Iranian woman Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani.

"Studying Carla Bruni's record clearly shows the reason why this immoral woman is backing an Iranian woman who has been condemned to death for committing adultery and being [an] accomplice in her husband's murder and, in fact, she herself deserves to die," Kayhan wrote.

French Foreign ministry spokesman Bernard Valero called the comments "unacceptable," and said Paris had told that to the mullahs' regime.

A Huffposter condemns this outrageous behavior, yet some commenters are so blinded by their hatred for American conservatives they see little problem with it.

The US government killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq with no accountability in sight (Obama makes sure he calls war-criminal Bush before his speech to get his permission to talk about Iraq!) and yet when a country like Iran which has been openly threatened by various violent US officials is dealing with one case of injustice, there is a huge outcry.

How many pregnant Iraqi women died during the invasion or had their new-born babies die? How many elderly or sick died because the US government bombed the country's basic infrastructure?

So many innocent people died in Iraq just like that and yet the war-mongers tells us that Iran is a horrible country.

The horrible country is the violent imperialist US. It has killed and tortured more people than all middle eastern countries combined in the last 40 years.

Politicians checking out the backsides of the ladies seems to be a growing phenomenon.

Newly minted British PM David Cameron has "great respect" for French President Nicolas Sarkozy -- and apparently even more admiration for Sarkozy's finest asset: wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

After a meeting between the two heads of state in London yesterday, Cameron and Sarkozy were joined by their wives outside the British leader's home at 10 Downing St.

Cameron -- with his pregnant wife, Samantha, standing nearby -- gave Bruni's behind an approving once-over.

The Sarkozys were in London for the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gualle's radio broadcast that urged his countrymen to resist the Nazis.

They resisted the Nazis, but they can't resist checking out some butts, that's for sure.

Sarkozy and Bruni Both Having Affairs?

Well, this is France we're talking about. And this is the female politician Nicolas Sarkozy is allegedly linked to.

Suchablog.com has published posts saying that Carla Bruni fell in love with the French singer Benjamin Biolay, who just won the award for best male singer and best album of the year at the prestigious "Victoires de la musique."

Bruni and Biolay have reportedly been friends for many years. And according to suchablog.com, Bruni and Biolay already live together. The same blog, which brands itself as a web magazine, also says that president Sarkozy has found "comfort in the arms" of right-wing politician Chantal Jouanno - a 40-year-old cabinet member in charge of the environment as well as a karate champion.

But the French establishment media is legendarily indifferent when it comes to covering the private affairs of their elected leaders. So there has been no questioning of the president about all this. The way the possible scandal has slowly emerged in France stands in stark contrast to how it would be covered in the tabloid culture of the American media, according to observers here.

This hyperactive, American-friendly president and this French-Italian former model and singer have always been flamboyant and always prompted all kinds of speculations and rumors, including that Sarkozy was begging his former wife Cecilia to get back together, to rumors of a Sarkozy-Bruni baby. But now the rumor mill is working overtime in France, and a lot of it is ending up online.

Other websites to run the rumor include the well-known blog Le Post, Yahoo News France and Agoravoxtv.

For now mainstream media haven't published the rumors, which bloggers said are more likely to become public after the March 21 regional elections in France.

On television, only the news channel i-tele has suggested that Sarkozy and Jouanno, and Bruni and Biolay, are close. An i-tele presenter said on the air that Bruni was the first to congratulate Biolay for his awards, and wondered whether Sarkozy had had the time to congratulate minister Jouanno on her recent karate win.

Like the French media, ours is also indifferent to politicians having affairs (see Edwards, John). Well, if they're Democrats, that is. Republicans, of course, are held to much higher standards.

'Mrs Obama Resembles No One Else — Her Style is Unique'

Indeed, she is unique. How many women do you know who dress up like a giant pastry? Of course instead of inviting ridicule, some twits continue with the delusion she's some sort of fashion icon.

The French fashion world has dealt a new blow to Nicolas Sarkozy’s desire to upstage President Obama: Elle magazine, the Parisiennes’ style bible, has proclaimed that Michelle Obama is more chic than Carla Bruni.

The magazine’s annual best-dressed list, unveiled yesterday, awarded first place in the category of “political chic” to America’s First Lady, and second to France’s Première Dame. It is the second year in a row that Ms Bruni, 42, has come second on the list; last year Elle put her behind Asma Assad, the British-born wife of the Syrian President.

The Elle style jury, led by Nathalie Rykiel, of the Sonia Rykiel house, said that the emphasis this year was on strong personalities who shone with a distinctive style. “Mrs Obama resembles no one else — her style is unique,” said Elle. “She encourages young designers and has succeeded in imposing the waisted cardigan as official dress.”

That was enough to knock Ms Bruni, a career supermodel who has, as a political wife, developed a demure new Dior-dressed style, off top spot — although she came in for warm praise. She was credited with changing her look on arriving at the palace after marrying Mr Sarkozy last year in what was dubbed her Jackie Kennedy look. “She has managed to invent a style of First Lady à la française,” said Elle. “She always gets it right.”

Yes, she does. And I've yet to see her wear a suicide-bomber belt. But this career supermodel is outdone by Michelle Obama?

Who can blame her?

Referring to a head-to-head between Ms Bruni and Mrs Obama in northern France a couple of months later, the site reads: ‘On June 6, 2009, the two First Ladies met again for the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Normandy landings, both dressed in white.’

A sentence which may or may not be ironic reads: ‘According to Vanity Fair Michelle Obama is one of the world’s ten best-dressed women’.

Other entries in the site make it clear that Ms Bruni frequently tops such polls.

If Looks Could Kill

As hard as the media tries to foist the idea on us that Michelle Obama is some kind of supermodel and fashion icon, it just will never wash. Do you need any more evidence to erase that silly notion than to see this scowling photo of her looking at Carla Bruni? Man, is that a scary look.

World's Fashion Eyes on Hulking Behemoth and Former Supermodel

This bit about Michelle Obama being some sort of fashion icon has gotten really tedious. She even gets top billing over Carla Bruni, a woman who was--you know--an actual model.

As foreign leaders and their spouses descend on London this week for the G20 summit, fashionistas and photographers are focusing on two first ladies — Michelle Obama and France's Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

Obama's attendance at the economic meeting marks her debut in Europe as America's first lady — and her fashion choices are under scrutiny as she mingles with leaders of the world's largest economies and their partners, including Britain's Sarah Brown, Russia's Svetlana Medvedev and Brazil's Marisa Leticia Lula da Silva.

But fashion enthusiasts are narrowing their focus to Obama's attire and that of her French counterpart, Bruni-Sarkozy, the Italian-born former model and singer-songwriter and recent bride of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

"There's no doubt that they're both style powerhouses. The difference is their backgrounds," Katie Connor, fashion features editor at Marie Claire magazine, told FOXNews.com.

Yes, their backgrounds are quite different. One is an angry, brooding woman who was never mistaken for a model while the other was, well, a model.

"Both of these first ladies ushered in this new era of glamour," Connor said.

Uhhh, no. One is glamorous and the other is being fawned off by a slobbering media for absolutely no reason.

Memo to the media: We have eyes and we're not stupid. Stop try and pretending Mrs. Obama is some sort of fashion icon. You just come off looking stupid.

Sarkozy linked with model-turned-singer

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's new love interest is supermodel-turned-singer Carla Bruni, reports said Monday after the two were photographed together at Disneyland Paris.

The respected news weekly L'Express posted a photo of the duo on its Internet site, and at least two other magazines said they would run the images.

The president's office would not comment on their status. But the daily Le Figaro, seen as close to the conservative, newly divorced president, ran a front-page image of the Italian-French Bruni on Monday with the headline: "Carla Bruni: The President's Girlfriend."

Christophe Barbier, the editor of L'Express, said he called Bruni, whom he described as a friend, before going public with the story.

"She confirmed the relationship," he said.

Sarkozy and Bruni visited Disneyland on Saturday when the park was thronged with visitors, L'Express reported. Several photographers reportedly were on hand and openly snapped photos of the pair, who seemed at ease with the attention.

Colombe Pringle, editor of Point de Vue magazine, said she believed Sarkozy and Bruni made themselves available to photographers deliberately.

"Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni wanted people to know," she told France-Info radio. "Otherwise, I don't know why they would have gone to Euro Disney to look at the Mickey (Mouse) parade."
