30 Days For Manslaughter If You Play Football

Imagine if this was you or me and we had driven over somebody and killed them while drunk. For a lot of us we can get 30 days in jail on the DUI charge alone. Sure must be good to be a professional athlete where any trangression is forgiven.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth is going to serve 30 days in jail after pleading guilty in Florida to a DUI manslaughter charge.

The plea deal announced Tuesday calls for the 28-year-old Stallworth to also serve 10 years' probation and do 1,000 community service hours for killing a pedestrian he hit with his car. Stallworth had faced up to 15 years in prison.

I guess since he is on probation that means they will have to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys.

The guy has one helluva lawyer apparently since according to the terms of the plea agreement he is also protected from being sued for wrongful death by the family of the person he killed.

So engaging in dog-fighting will get you more time in jail then getting tanked up and running over somebody in your ridiculously priced luxury car.

Illegal Alien + 24 Beers = Dead Teenage Mother

Maybe Janet Napolitano will get this memo, but I doubt it. A teenager in this country illegally hit and killed a woman who was walking with her child along the road and all he gets is eight years in jail.

A teenager who pleaded guilty to hitting and killing a Clarke County woman as she walked along a road with her 3-year-old son has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

There is even more to this story. The woman he killed was 19 years old at the time she was murdered, which for anybody who didn't attend government school means that she was 16 when she gave birth.

Prosecutors said the teen is a native of Mexico who was working illegally in the U.S. He earlier pleaded guilty to first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and hit-and-run.

Nayasheika "Keisha" Cooper, who was 19, died after being hit from behind in the June 14, 2008, accident.

Underage, driving drunk, and in the country illegally. The killer is only 16.

Gonzalez-Perez told police he had borrowed the truck and was drinking at a friend's house before the crash. He said he had 24 beers that day, but thought he was OK to drive after napping for an hour, according to police.

When are we going to get sick and tired of these stories and get serious about cracking down on the illegals? Where do the liberals stand on this case since both the victim and perpetrator belong to some of their protected classes?

Damn Yankees have highest rates for drunk drivers, Y'all

The upper Midwest has the worst drunken driving rates in the country, according to a government report that says 15 percent of adult drivers nationally report driving under the influence of alcohol in the previous year.

Wisconsin leads the way. The federal government estimates more than a quarter of the state's adult drivers had driven under the influence. Rounding out the worst five are North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Must suck to live in a blue state. Wisconsin and Minnesota are both very liberal states and apparently trying to drink their blues away.
Meanwhile those people that 'cling to their guns and religion" come in with the lowest rates.

Following closely behind were a slew of Southern states that often fare poorly when it comes to government health statistics. This time, however, they're serving as models. West Virginia, Arkansas, Kentucky and North Carolina all had drunken driving rates for the prior year of less than 11 percent.

And the news just gets worse for those of you that live in liberal states.

The federal government also released estimates of driving under the influence of illicit drugs. The rates were highest in the District of Columbia, 7 percent; Rhode Island, 6.8 percent; and Massachusetts, 6.4 percent.

So y'all just keep your elitist, blue nose, arrogant attitudes and us rednecks will continue to cling to our guns and religion.
And you wonder how people like Kerry, Feingold, and Kennedy continue to get elected. The voters are drunk or stoned, which I guess you would have to be to vote for them.
