SEIU Thugs Finally Charged In Gladney Beating

Finally. After months of careful consideration the St Louis county prosecutors office has seen fit to file charges against 6 people for the beating of Kenneth Gladney at the Tea Party rally outside of Rep Carnahan's town hall meeting back in August.

Of course Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit is all over it, and the prosecutors office admit that they were motivated in part by bloggers and videos appearing on the internet.

This particular news account leaves out any mention of the SEIU connection and in fact leaves you with the impression that it was the people protesting against Rep Carnahan support of the PelosiCare healthcare bill that were the ones charged.

Unbiased journalism or willful omission I will leave up to the reader.

They even managed to press charges against a reporter who was on the scene, you know doing his job.
Post-Dispatch reporter Jake Wagman, 30, of University City, was charged with interfering with a police officer. The charges allege that he failed to obey repeated commands "to leave the site of an ongoing disturbance."

Hmmm, isn't the job of reporters to, you know, like, report on things like this? I wonder how often they ask reporters to leave the site of other protests? Of course this is the same Missouri which earlier in the year drafted the memo about folks who oppose Obama should be given particular attention by public safety personnel, since they pose a threat and the same Missouri who wanted to set up truth squads to fight the rumors that might smear The One.

I, like a lot of other people, are still left to wonder what took so long to prefer charges in what appears to be a pretty obvious case of assault, with police officers on the scene. Meanwhile the folks of the "Show Me" state might want to start taking a look at who is running their state and get some folks in there that have at least a passing familiarity with our Bill of Rights.

Isn't That Special: Missouri Neo-Nazis 'Adopt-a-Highway'

Call it the highway to hell.

I hate those Missouri Nazis.
A neo-Nazi group has joined the state's "Adopt-A-Highway" volunteer litter pickup program, taking advantage of a free speech court fight won four years ago by the Ku Klux Klan.

The Springfield unit of the National Socialist Movement has committed to cleaning up trash along a half-mile section of Highway 160 near the Springfield city limits.

Two signs noting the group's membership in the Adopt-A-Highway program went up in October but drew attention only recently when the group picked up litter as part of a gathering in Springfield.

The state says it had no way to reject the group's application. A 2005 U.S. Supreme Court ruling arising from a similar effort by the Ku Klux Klan says membership in the Adopt-A-Highway program can't be denied because of a group's political beliefs. At the time, the state could reject applications for the program from groups that denied membership based on race or had a history of violence.

"It's a First Amendment thing, and we can't discriminate as long as they pick up the trash," said Bob Edwards, a spokesman for the transportation department's office in Springfield.
Trash picking up trash. How cute.

Just a hunch, but I suspect those signs won't be up much longer.

Leftwingers will note the use of the word socialist in the name of the Nazi group. Just a reminder.

Citing History of ACORN Voter Fraud, Missouri Governor Sounds the Alarm

A pre-emptive strike and a warning to voters that they should be extremely suspicious about the fraud planned by Democrats come election day.

We've seen all sort of suspicious activity in Missouri over the years, notably in St. Louis and Kansas City, so expect to see plenty of Democrat chicanery, especially if they see the election slipping away and need to steal a couple of states.
Gov. Matt Blunt, who served as secretary of state during the last presidential election, today issued the following statement expressing concern about the integrity of the upcoming election in light of the investigation into voter registration fraud committed by the liberal group ACORN:

“As governor and as a former secretary of state, I am very concerned about the integrity of the upcoming election. I became secretary of state following the voter fraud that occurred in 2000 and issued a comprehensive report entitled ‘Mandate for Reform: Election Turmoil in St. Louis November 7, 2000, (PDF) which provided the framework for election reform in Missouri.

“Contrary to assertions that voter fraud has not occurred in Missouri, my report found that well over 1,000 improper ballots were cast in St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Further my report found that there was in St. Louis an organized and successful effort to generate improper votes in large numbers.

“In response to the lessons of 2000 we enacted significant reforms that make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. We enabled the real time voter registration database to catch voters who might try to register in multiple jurisdictions, increased the canvassing of the voter registration rolls to ensure they are up to date, required voter registrations to be turned in within five business days from the date a person registered, required voters who register by mail to show up in person at least once before voting absentee, added two questions to the voter registration form including ‘Are you an American citizen?’ and ‘Will you be 18 before the next election?’ and many other changes to ensure fair, open and honest elections in Missouri. As a result, the 2002 election and the next presidential election in 2004 ran smoothly.

“In the aftermath of the 2006 election, 12 workers for ACORN were convicted of voter fraud in St. Louis and Kansas City. Now the FBI is investigating attempts by ACORN to commit voter registration fraud in Missouri and other states in this election. This is deeply troubling to me because these efforts to game the system with fraudulent registrations undermine public confidence in our election process. At least one Missouri official has attempted to downplay ACORN’s attempts to commit fraud as insignificant. I strongly disagree. The only reason for someone to commit voter registration fraud is to attempt to commit voter fraud.
Read the whole thing. Governor Blunt is someone I'd like to see run for higher office in the future. He's not afraid to tell it like it is.
