It seems Jessica Simpson got an unwanted birthday present for her 29th Friday – according to People magazine, boyfriend Tony Romo broke up with her the night before.
A source close to the singer, 29, told People that she was “heartbroken” at the news.
“She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show ‘The Price of Beauty.’ They decided to part ways.”
The Dallas Cowboys star even spent his [ex]girlfriend’s party with a group of friends at Hollywood club MyHouse – and was spotted with a few girls who swung by his table.

Overrated QB Dumps Overrated Singer
As a Giants fan, I was hoping these two would get married. Anything that helps drag the Cowboys down.

'If You Only Knew All That Guy Does'
Here's a stunner. Terrell Owens is about to blow up his third NFL team. This couldn't come at a better time. Hopefully with all the infighting the Giants can bury these suckers for good Sunday night.According to multiple sources within the Dallas Cowboys, there is an emerging internal conflict involving three of the team's highest-profile stars. It's not like you morons didn't know what you were getting.
As the preseason Super Bowl favorites struggle in the final month of the season to simply make the playoffs, wide receiver Terrell Owens has expressed resentment toward Tony Romo, apparently jealous of the quarterback's relationship with tight end Jason Witten.
Owens feels that Romo and Witten -- close friends and road roommates who came to Dallas in the same offseason -- hold private meetings in which they create plays the two will use in upcoming games without including Owens in the conversations, according to a source who speaks regularly with Owens' teammates. Owens believes these discussions have worked to his detriment as Romo seeks to deliver the ball to Witten regardless of whether Owens is open.
"I don't know anything about that," Wade Phillips said when asked about a possible rift at his news conference on Thursday.
...
A current Cowboys player compared Owens' behavior to that which led to problems with his former quarterbacks, Jeff Garcia in San Francisco and Donovan McNabb in Philadelphia. Those failed relationships and problems with the head coaches and other teammates led to Owens' exile from those teams and made him available to Dallas owner Jerry Jones in 2006.
"He's insecure about it,'' the player said of Owens. "The thing that bothers me more than anything about this problem is that it's always something with him -- San Fran, Philly and here, always something. And he brings other people into it. You know, he talks to Sam Hurd and Roy Williams, who just got here and doesn't really know these guys. T.O. talks to him and so now he probably thinks Witten politics with Tony for the ball.
"That's so far from the truth. You think Tony is throwing to him because that's his buddy? His best buddy is Bobby Carpenter, and that's not helping him too much. It's crazy to think that, and I hate that he acts that way.''
...
But what upset Owens' teammates most of all was his response to the interception Romo threw on a pass intended for Witten that Deshea Townsend returned for the game-winning touchdown in a 20-13 defeat. Both the quarterback and tight end publicly accepted blame for the Cowboys' season-high fifth turnover. In contrast, Owens said the offense stunk, that the team can't win with turnovers like those and then suggested his defender was playing off in single coverage and that he was open but Romo decided to throw elsewhere on the fatal play.
On the sideline, Owens was seen yelling at a Cowboys assistant coach. In his news conference after the game, Owens implied that Romo's decision to throw to Witten was the wrong one, saying, "It's his job to go out there and assess what the defense is, and he made that decision.''
That incensed some Cowboys, one of whom said, "If you only knew all that guy does. It's gonna go down with him before it's all over with. He is unbelievable. Tough loss and he does that?''
If you sell your soul to hook up with the devil, don't be surprised when the devil gets a little ornery.
Idiots.

Good News: NFL's Most Overrated QB to Miss Four Weeks

After watching Tony Romo fumble the ball all over the place in the Cowboys' 30-24 loss at Arizona, I got to thinking something's wrong with the guy, other than his weird obsession with racing to the sideline to put his hat on backwards.
Sure enough, ESPN has just reported the most overrated QB in the NFL has a broken pinky and will be out four weeks.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a broken pinkie on his throwing hand and will be out four weeks, a team source told ESPN's Michael Smith. There's at least an upside for Cowboy fans, pathetic souls that they are. Johnson has at least won some playoff games, as he was calling signals when Tampa Bay won the Super Bowl in 2002. Sure, he's old an immobile, but he at least isn't as erratic as Romo. Coming up they have the Rams, Tampa and the Giants on the schedule, then a bye. How funny would it be in they lose to the Rams?
Romo initially was diagnosed with a pinkie sprain in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Veteran quarterback Brad Johnson, the Cowboys' holder on kicks, is Romo's backup.
This report from Dallas noted the injury before today's announcement.
Still, for the most part, Arizona rushed four linemen as the rest of the defense dropped into coverage. As Romo bounced on the balls of his feet, looking for someone, anyone, to get open, the Cards' defensive front rapidly encircled him. With any luck, the Cowboys unravel completely while golden boy is on the shelf. How long until Johnson throws a incomplete pass to Terrell Owens and the man-child has a fit?
Result: They came at him from behind, where he's not feeling the pressure and consequently unable to squirt out of the rush's grasp, normally a strong point. They sacked him three times. Not only that, they blindsided him, forcing three official fumbles and one that didn't count because of a premature whistle.
Romo doesn't do a good job of protecting the ball as it is, and that was before he sprained a pinky in overtime. When he doesn't see the rush coming, he's particularly vulnerable.
And that's what he's looked like lately: a once-confident quarterback suddenly vulnerable.
All this bad news is enough to make Pacman Jones want to hit the strip clubs.
In really good news, the New York Giants can move a full two games up on Dallas and Washington with a win tonight. Just saying.
Congratulations also to the Cowboys for being the first team in NFL history to lose a game on a blocked punt for touchdown.
Heh.
Good news travels fast. Thanks for the link!

More Misery for Cowboy Fans
We apparently were a bit premature in noting the breakup of Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson, and since we revel in the misery of Dallas Cowboys fans, we thought we'd bring you this painful video showing the two on stage recently with a dreadful metal cover band.
Simpson and Romo Perform Duet
Hot couple Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo thrilled regulars at tribute group Metal Skool's weekly showcase in Hollywood on Monday night with a rocking duet. That and he was called a pu**y.
The good-looking pair sang Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," backed by the band at the Key Club.
Romo initially refused to join his pop star girlfriend onstage, but reluctantly agreed to sing with her when fans started chanting out his name.
Heh.

Oh, the Heartbreak
This New York Giants fan can never have enough of poking fun at the Dallas Cowboys.
It appears their golden boy quarterback, Tony Romo, who has yet to win a playoff game but was lavished with a $67 million contract after one season, has dumped bleach-blond bimbo Jessica Simpson.
I wonder if there's anything we can do to help the lovebirds patch things up?
UPDATE: Hot Air's resident Cowboy fan is most buoyed by the news.

At least they'll always have Mexico. In addition to blaming Simpson, Cowboy fans may also want to blame their inept coach and the fact the Giants were the superior team when it mattered.
Dallas Cowboys star Tony Romo has reportedly dumped Jessica Simpson, who was widely blamed for costing him a shot at the Super Bowl.
"Tony is now starting to blame her himself," a pal told OK! magazine. "Before dating Jessica, he was Texas' golden boy. Now he's become a joke."
A few days after the Giants bounced the Cowboys from the playoffs, Romo called the "Dukes of Hazzard" star to tell her their romance was over.
"He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends," a pal of hers said.
A final breaking point came when Romo told Simpson he wouldn't move to L.A. - and she responded there was no way she could leave Tinseltown.
