You Don't Have To Be Crazy To Be A Democrat

But apparently it doesn't hurt.

A former Massachusetts legislator is being prosecuted for sexual harassing and accosting some women. Perfectly normal behavior for Democrats. (See: Clinton, Bill) According to Wikipedia the guy had a long and respected resume of supporting just the right liberal topics like global warming, universal healthcare, and environmental issues. Like all good Democrats who are accused of wrongdoing he did not leave office voluntarily, but eventually he was booted.

In the meantime the investigations and the charges and the trials continued with the latest being that today a judge ruled he could finally be charged with a felony.

Massachusetts' highest court says prosecutors can proceed with a felony charge against a former state Democratic legislator accused of sexually harassing four women and trying to grope one of them.

An attorney for James Marzilli of Arlington, Mass., argued that the former lawman was charged with a crime that doesn't exist under state law. But the Supreme Judicial Court disagreed, saying Wednesday that Massachusetts law permits Marzilli to be prosecuted for the charge of felony attempted indecent assault and battery.

Wait though, it gets better. Once again according to the Wiki entry on this guy he suffers from a bipolar disorder.

On 6 June 2008 the Boston Herald reported that Marzilli was admitted to a psychiatric hospital.[20] On August 5, 2008 his wife mailed a letter to supporters explaining that he had been diagnosed as suffering from bipolar disorder and the recent events in Marzilli's life had taken place during a period of hypomania.[21]

Sort of gives you a good insight into the mind of a Democrat doesn't it, and should make you seriously ask yourself why you would want to take anything they have to say at face value. Hell between the drunken and stoned out of their minds on Ambien Kennedy's to the "I smoked it but I didn't inhale" Clinton to those who plead a variety of mental conditions to explain away their actions, I think I could find a better group of people to hang out with.

Oh and about that guy in South Carolina that won the Democrat primary to be their sacrificial lamb against Jim Demint, Hot Air says he has some 'splaining to do.

Pathetic: Dingy Harry Calls GOP Anti-American, Kerry Calls Wall Street Unpatriotic

Goodness, can these desperate Democrats sink any further into the gutter. On the losing side now of every issue, they're flailing about wildly, smearing Republicans and American businessmen with impunity now. I recall it wasn't long ago that is was bad form to question someone's patriotism and gutter politics to call someone un-American? Well, I guess those days are over. Funny how silent Bill Clinton is these days now that Republicans are being accused of being un-American. Isn't he concerned someone on the left might act out now and take all this hate speech as a cue?

First, there's Lerch, speaking of unpatriotic, lashing out at Wall Street.

Wall Street officials suffered from a "lack of patriotism" in their practices during the financial crisis, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said Wednesday.

Kerry, a senior Democrat in the Senate, suggested that Wall Street showed a disregard for the public good during the run up to the financial crisis in the fall of 2008.

"I think people really just sense that there's a lack of patriotism in it -- there's a lack of concern about the country," Kerry said on "Imus in the Morning" on the Fox Business Network. "It's just, 'Hey, let's just make our money and run. Devil be damned what the implications are.'"

So says the guy living off his rich wife.

Then we have the soon-to-be former Senator of Nevada whining like a little bitch because he can't break a filibuster.

Republicans efforts to block Wall Street reform are "anti-American," Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said today.

The GOP has successfully blocked Democratic efforts to begin debate on the bill.

"But all the talk of the Republicans about wanting to do something about this before it gets on the floor is really anti-Senate and anti-American," Reid told reporters.

"They keep stalling and they keep stalling," he added. "And it appears that they're more concerned about taking care of the fat cats on Wall Street than they are the people who aren't so fat, the people who have been hit so hard, the consumers of America."

Amazing how much money this hypocrite is taking from fat cats.

Convictions In Kentucky Voting Fraud Case

Last year about this time I posted a story about charges that were filed in Clay County, Kentucky involving a case of out and out voter fraud. We aren't talking voter registration here, but actual manipulation of the vote. Well, the verdict has come in. Guilty on all charges.

A jury convicted a former judge and seven others on Thursday of scheming to buy votes for several local offices in an eastern Kentucky county.

The jury in U.S. District Court in Frankfort deliberated for nine hours over two days before convicting all eight people in a federal racketeering conspiracy. Those convicted on Thursday included former Circuit Judge R. Cletus Maricle and former school Superintendent Douglas C. Adams.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the jury also convicted several of the defendants on other charges, including mail fraud, extortion and laundering money that was used to buy votes.

Of course the reporting on this is another classic example of Name That Party, a game that has become a favorite in bars and frat houses all around the country. I however have this little portion from earlier reporting on the matter.

According to the indictment, Democratic election commissioner Charles Wayne Jones and election officer William E. Stivers helped extort money from candidates. In some cases, candidates were apparently asked to pool money so votes could be bought.

Anybody who self-identifies themselves as a Democrat ought to face some serious challenges in the job market. You are known by the company you keep, and so far the Democrats sure are proving themselves to be a bunch of tax cheats, liars, and schemers. I don't think I would want anybody working for me that expressed an affinity for the Democrats.

However, it does appear that maybe the Democrats healthcare plan is enabling blind people to see.

Briggs said 78 people asked for help in that election because they were blind, but investigators found nearly 40 had a license to drive. Many drove to London after the FBI asked them to come for interviews, Briggs testified.

More Democrats Indicted In Illinois Indiana

I know a lot of jokes get thrown around about Chicago politics, but damn if they ain't deserved.

Here is yet another Democrat mayor, this time the mayor of East Chicago, George Pabey, who has been indicted by federal authorities for corruption and witness tampering.

The indictment charges Pabey and Camacho with conspiring to steal more than $5,000 from the city, by using city workers to renovate a home with materials purchased using city accounts at Menards and Home Depot, as well as city cement mixers and trucks.

Camacho also is charged with two counts of witness tampering, allegedly for telling workers to lie to FBI investigators about work at the house.

If it goes like the case of the recently convicted mayor of Baltimore in her corruption scandal, which sounds a lot like this case, it will take over a year before anything substantial happens, but in the meantime we get to sit back and marvel at how the Democrats seem to attract these sort of people.

Oh yeah, you do have to play name that party to figure out the guy was a Democrat. It's buried way down in the story and only alluded to obliquely. Of course, since this is Chicago it was probably assumed that the readers already knew he was a Democrat.

Pabey's election in a court-ordered "do-over" of the 2003 city Democratic primary ended the 32-year reign of Pastrick as mayor. Pabey, who had been police chief under Pastrick, styled himself as a reformer, while Pastrick was laid low by a string of indictments of his political allies.

Yeah, I know, one crook replacing another.

McCain Ties Obama To Fannie Mae Collapse as Obama Pretends Franklin Raines Wasn't an Adviser

Smears! Racist!

Uh, actually, the truth.

Maybe some day the media will get their heads out of their asses and dig a little further into the connection. It's not as if it's too difficult to tie Obama with Franklin Raines.

Just Google it!

Remarkably, Raines pretends to not have any connection to Obama, and the Obama people break out the tired McCain has seven houses line. Ugh.

This is another flat-out lie from a dishonorable campaign that is increasingly incapable of telling the truth. Frank Raines has never advised Senator Obama about anything -- ever. And by the way, someone whose campaign manager and top advisor worked and lobbied for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shouldn't be throwing stones from his seven glass houses.

So why did the Washington Post say he was taking Barack Obama's calls a couple months ago?

In the four years since he stepped down as Fannie Mae's chief executive under the shadow of a $6.3 billion accounting scandal, Franklin D. Raines has been quietly constructing a new life for himself. He has shaved eight points off his golf handicap, taken a corner office in Steve Case's D.C. conglomeration of finance, entertainment and health-care companies and more recently, taken calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters.

Ahem, here's another refresher for the Obama campaign.

In the current crisis, their biggest backers have been Democrats such as Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher J. Dodd (Conn.) and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (Mass.). Two members of Mr. Obama's political circle, James A. Johnson and Franklin D. Raines, are former chief executives of Fannie Mae.

Is the Washington Post smearing Obama?

Update: Time hack Karen Tumulty says this ad shows McCain is playing the race card, What an idiot. So McCain isn't allowed to show an ad linking Obama with another black man?

Let me stipulate: Obama's Fannie Mae connections are completely fair game. But this ad doesn't even mention a far more significant tie--that of Jim Johnson, the former Fannie Mae chairman who had to resign as head of Obama's vice presidential search team after it was revealed he got a sweetheart deal on a mortgage from Countrywide Financial. Instead, it relies on a fleeting and tenuous reference in a Washington Post Style section story to suggest that Obama's principal economic adviser is former Fannie Mae Chairman Frank Raines. Why? One reason might be that Johnson is white; Raines is black.

Not only is she's stupid, she's too lazy to even find more than one story linking the two.

But she's an, ahem, respected journalist. And a complete moron, to boot.

Maybe this respected journalist should wait for the Johnson ad.
