Arizona Hit Squads Targeting Hispanics

To borrow from the Godfather of Linkage, Instapundit, they told me if Arizona passed their immigration law there would be roaming government hit squads.

In this case, the hit squads belong to that leftist tool Sheriff Dupnik of the very liberal Pima County. The area of Arizona which recently vowed to secede from the union, and the sheriff who assured anyone in the media who stuck a microphone in his face that the person responsible for the shooting that included the killing of a 9-year-old girl and critically wounding Congresswoman Giffords was the work of right-wingers whipped up into a froth over politics. He conveniently forgot to mention how the accused in this case has a long history of making threats.

Well, Dupnik dispatched his highly-trained SWAT team to the home Iraqi war veteran, a former Marine, Jose Guerena. The reports have been all over the place as to what actually happened but a few facts have emerged that appear to be indisputable. His Keystone cops fired at least 70 rounds indiscriminately into the residence after one of the officers had an accidental discharge of a weapon while breaking down the door to enter the residence. Information on whether they even had the right address is also in dispute. In addition, after spraying the residence with no regard for innocent life they refused the wounded medical care and had an ambulance sit outside for at least an hour. In other words, they needed to make sure that Guerena was dead so that he couldn't give his account of events.

Imagine the liberal outrage if the same sequence of events had occurred in Iraq during one of Guerena's two tours. If his squad had kicked in the door of an Iraqi citizen, sprayed the house indiscriminately and then refused to offer to medical assistance. I think we know what would happen, and the departed former congressman John Murtha would be leading the charge like he has in the past.

In other words, everything about this incident is in question except for the fact that Cpl Guerena is now dead and that lying dirtbag of a sheriff can't get his story straight.

I have been following the story for about a week and was waiting for the fog of war, such as it is, to clear and for the facts to become clear; unfortunately because of this idiot sheriff there are no facts because their story keeps changing. As always, the guys over at This Ain't Hell and Blackfive are on the case and I strongly encourage everybody to read their writeups on this incident.

I also strongly encourage people to start pressuring the Mass Market Media to cover the story. They are ignoring it because it happened in their liberal utopian oasis of the southwest to one of their icons of progressive law and order.

UPDATE: All records and evidence related to this case have now been sealed while Sheriff Barney Fife and his trigger happy, undisciplined Keystone Kops go into CYA mode.

War On The Border Claims Four More Americans

While all the attention in this country is on the upcoming election, life and death continues on our southern border with Mexico, and it is getting closer everyday.
Chihuahua state prosecutors' spokesman Arturo Sandoval said Edgar Lopez, 35, of El Paso, Texas, was killed Sunday.

On Saturday, a 26-year-old U.S. woman and an American boy were slain shortly after crossing an international bridge from El Paso. Giovanna Herrera and Luis Araiza, 15, were shot to death.

Sandoval said authorities also identified a 24-year-old woman killed Friday inside a tortilla shop as Lorena Izaguirre, a U.S. citizen and El Paso resident.

Men, women, and children, all apparently are fair game to the drug cartels. While California pushes to legalize drug use they are turning a blind eye to the killing of their fellow citizens in Arizona and Texas. The ninth circuit court entertains lawsuits from the Obama DoJ headed by Eric Holder for laws meant to protect the citizens of the state.
Meanwhile, the remains of seven people were found Sunday in a mass grave in Nogales, on the Arizona border. Mayor Jose Angel Hernandez said a family walking near the site noticed what appeared to be part of a body sticking up in a riverbed. Officers recovered six bodies and a severed head in the grave. A seventh headless body was found nearby.

I would hope that some of these so called Hispanic civil rights groups in this country, you know like La Raza which is working so hard to get us to just ignore any law that makes citizenship in this country a privilege worthy of protecting would be rushing to the microphones to condemn these acts.

It is time for the people in power whose job it is to protect us from physical harm to quit tilting at windmills and imaginary enemies like Wall St brokers, Tea Party members, and evil talk radio show hosts and start recognizing who are the real threats to our life and liberty.

Ignore The 55 Bodies

For any real news of the world you have to visit foreign sources since our domestic version of what passes for news reporting is woefully inadequate.

A case in point is a couple of stories making the rounds. In the United States you are going to see a lot about an incident involving a shooting where a Border Patrol agent is accused of shooting a 14 year old Mexican citizen on a bridge in El Paso. Not much is given in the way of details, but we have the obligatory demand from Mexican officials for a full investigation.
A U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and killed a 14-year-old boy after a confrontation at an international bridge near downtown El Paso, Mexican authorities said Tuesday.

Chihuahua State officials released a statement Tuesday demanding a full investigation into the death of the boy, identified as Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca.

In the meantime Mexico is hardly the one to be pointing accusatory fingers to their neighbors to the north when a visit to the BBC brings forth the story of a mine shaft in which 55 bodies have been recovered so far, all apparent victims of the ongoing drug wars in that failed state.
Mexican police say 55 bodies have been recovered from an abandoned mine that appears to have been used as a mass grave by drugs gangs.

Human remains were first discovered in the silver mine near Taxco in Guerrero state at the end of May.

I known El Presidente Calderone has taken exception with our efforts to keep the drug lords on his side of the border, but we can't let him export this type of violence to our streets and there is no sense in letting the pressure off of him to do something and keep his nose out of our affairs.

The next time you run into some open borders advocates ask them if this is what they want in America.

Somebody infamous once said that one death is a tragedy, but a million deaths is a statistic. I don't recall who but I am sure it is one of the icons of the liberal left like Stalin.

UPDATE:
A U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and hit someone on the Mexican side of the border Monday evening, the FBI said.

The shooting occurred after an assault on a Border Patrol agent, FBI Special Agent Andrea Simmons said. The Border Patrol agent shot from El Paso, Texas, across the border into Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

The person was hit by the gunfire, but U.S. officials did not know whether he or she survived, Simmons told CNN. A spokesman for the mayor's office in Ciudad Juarez said Tuesday morning that officials were still investigating and could not say whether the person survived.

If this is the same incident referenced above we have now moved from killing a 14 year old to a gunshot fired in defense that may or may not have hit somebody on the other side. Sort of puts a different slant on the story doesn't it. Bullets don't recognize borders.

PrezBo To Students: Show Me Your Papers

Racist.

Barry O is going to a high school graduation in Kalamazoo, MI, and for the students graduating the price of admission is that they show their papers.
The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.

Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.
No word on if California will now cut off diplomatic relations with the White House over this obvious abuse of power. Pretty obvious that Obama appointees are not subjected to the same scrutiny.

On the other hand, this seems to be the only segment of the population that the Dems can hope to hold on to in the next election.

'We’re Going to Make it Uncomfortable for the Democratic Party'

Gee, if I didn't know any better this almost sounds like a threat, if we were to listen to our media superiors. C'mon, folks, you need to tone down the angry rhetoric.
A congressman from the president’s home state is threatening that he will urge Latino voters to stay home this November if the Democratic Party does not make a concerted effort to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (Ill.) is arguably President Barack Obama’s biggest Democratic critic in Congress. And he’s not fond of Obama’s top advisers at the White House, either.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) member has strongly criticized the administration’s policy on deportation and questioned its commitment to far-reaching reform.

Some Democrats have felt little urgency in pursuing the controversial issue, partly because they see no risk that Hispanic voters will bolt the party for the GOP. But Gutierrez says they are missing the real political consequence of inaction.

“We can stay home,” Gutierrez said in an interview with The Hill. “We can say, ‘You know what? There is a third option: We can refuse to participate.’ ”

For Gutierrez, a former cab driver first elected to represent Chicago in 1992, the shift from close Obama ally to ornery critic has been stark. The lawmaker was one of the former Illinois senator’s earliest campaign supporters, and — as Gutierrez is quick to note — he stuck by Obama even as many Hispanic leaders rallied around Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

When Gutierrez talks about his old Chicago neighbor, he speaks of “anger, disillusionment, dissatisfaction” and “betrayal.” He says Obama has failed to keep his campaign commitment to immigration reform, and he decries what he calls an “enforcement-only” policy in which the administration has deported more undocumented immigrants than in the final year of the George W. Bush administration.
Why, he must hate undocumented people of color. Oh, and Gutierrez might want to watch it with those code words anger and betrayal. We all know (wink, wink) what those stand for.
Gutierrez says Latinos have lost patience with Obama, and he predicts an “escalation” of activism aimed at forcing immigration reform to the fore of the party agenda.

“We’re going to make it uncomfortable for the Democratic Party,” Gutierrez said, adding that immigration advocates would step up the pressure by drawing lessons from the movements for civil rights and women’s suffrage. “There’ll probably be civil disobedience. There will probably be a number of different actions. What we have to do is we have to break through this wall of silence, because we’re invisible.”
Civil disobedience? Why, that almost sounds seditious!

African Muslims Fleeing To Israel

Africans, mostly Muslim, are fleeing their war torn countries on the African continent and seeking asylum in Israel. In order to get there however they have to cross the Sinai desert in Egypt where many are shot and killed.

Why not just settle in Egypt and live among their Muslim brothers? Very simply it is because in the Muslim world they are not accepted. There is a very big dislike for African Muslims among the Middle Eastern Muslims. They view them as little more then slaves.
Beyene is one of almost 17,000 people currently seeking asylum in Israel. Over the past two years, as routes to Europe through Libya and Morocco have closed off or become more difficult to traverse, thousands of migrants have headed to Israel. But the route, which usually takes them from the Horn of Africa through Egypt's Sinai region and then across the border, has its own dangers. In Europe, coast-guard patrols might try to turn back boats full of refugees and asylum seekers, or detain people only to send them home later. The luckiest ones may end up being accepted for asylum and then dispatched around Europe.

In Egypt, the response can be more immediate. Nongovernmental organizations such as the Hotline for Migrant Workers and the African Refugee Development Center say that Egyptian border police have shot dead several hundred migrants seeking to cross the border into Israel for work and asylum over the past few years. "From both Israeli soldiers and refugees who crossed the border we can tell for sure that the Egyptians almost always shoot, they shoot to kill and very often they hit the asylum seekers," says Sigal Rozen of Hotline, an independent group that helps asylum seekers in Israel. At the Israeli cemetery in Hazor, Rozen points to 25 graves marked "Anonymous." "These were asylum seekers," she says, "who were shot by the Egyptians and died from their wounds in Israel."

Egypt cites security concerns, and that argument carries a certain amount of weight, but even the ones that they accept into their country are either then routed to Europe or subjected to such harsh treatment that they have no option but to continue their flight.
But that's unlikely to stop people trying. For 25-year-old Adam Khamise, who fled the war-torn Sudanese province of Darfur and arrived in Israel in July 2007, the choice was clear. "In Egypt I was always being harassed by the police and I wasn't allowed to work. So how could I make money to buy food?" In Israel, Rozen says, asylum seekers may be turned down for work permits, but a majority finds work, because "officials turn a blind eye." Khamise says there was another reason for his journey. He decided to head for Israel after learning about the Holocaust. "The story of the Jewish people is similar to ours in Darfur, where we are being persecuted as Muslims. That's why I thought Israel would protect us."

The wars being waged in Africa are to a large degree Muslim on Muslim, however there are those exceptions where they are truly Christian on Muslim, so while Christians can not wash their hands of some of the violence on the African continent, they are not the main instigators.

This is just further evidence however of the charity of Muslims and how they always talk about being accepting of others and a religion of peace, their actions always betray them.

Daughter of American Citizen To Be Deported

What the hell is wrong with this country? Here we have a case of an 11-year-old girl who has lived in this country since she was two, whose dad is an American citizen and yet INS says she has to go because of a paperwork snafu.
The news came as a shock to Ewelina’s parents. Her mother has a green card and her father is a U.S. citizen. Hubert Bledniak said they just found out their attorney missed a deadline in 2001 that would have allowed Ewelina to apply for her green card while in the United States.
What kind of message is that? Do the right thing and get kicked out, but manage to come across the southern border and speak Spanish and the doors of this country are wide open.
Ewelina Bledniak hasn’t been in Poland since she was 2 years old, but now immigration officers are ordering her to return and wait a year before she can come home.

“I was really sad because I’m going to have to leave so much,” said Ewelina.

The 11-year-old, who goes to school in Forsyth County, is seen as an illegal immigrant by the feds.

“She has to leave (the) country before July 23, if not, she’ll be deported. If she stays here and they deport her, she will not get back here for 10 years,” said Agnes Bledniak, Ewelina’s mother.
Her parents are not here illegally. I wouldn't think she is illegal in any sense of the word since her dad is an American citizen.

RNC Dismisses Phone Solicitors

There's major trouble brewing for the Republican National Committee, and hazard a guess as to why.
The Republican National Committee, hit by a grass-roots donors' rebellion over President Bush's immigration policy, has fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors, Ralph Z. Hallow will report Friday in The Washington Times.

Faced with an estimated 40 percent fall-off in small-donor contributions and aging phone-bank equipment that the RNC said would cost too much to update, Anne Hathaway, the committee's chief of staff, summoned the solicitations staff last week and told them they were out of work, effective immediately, the fired staffers told The Times.

The national committee yesterday confirmed the firings that took place more than a week ago, but denied that the move was motivated by declining donor response to phone solicitations.

"The phone-bank employees were terminated," RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt wrote by e-mail in response to questions sent by The Times. "This was not an easy decision. The first and primary motivating factor was the state of the phone bank technology, which was outdated and difficult to maintain. The RNC was advised that we would soon need an entire new system to remain viable."

Fired employees acknowledged that the committee's phone equipment was outdated, but said a sharp drop-off in donations "probably" hastened the end of the RNC's in-house phone-bank operation.
What, pray tell, precipitated such a dropoff?
"Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.
Maybe some illegal aliens can do the donating Republicans refuse to.
