Let's Surf for Peace, Dude

This could well be the dumbest idea since John From Cincinnati. I'm thinking this guy has too much water between the ears.

Make surf not war in Gaza, says American wave legend
EREZ CROSSING, Israel (AFP) - For American surf legend Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz, the waves of the volatile Gaza Strip could a key to Israeli-Palestinian peace.

The 87-year-old Jewish wave guru has rustled up the support of Israeli companies and donors to buy 15 surfboards for Palestinians in Gaza.

"If guys can surf together they can live together, it is as simple as that," Paskowitz told AFP.
What I can't figure out is how they'll be able to conceal their bomb vest under the wetsuits.
Tanned, white-haired, bare-chested and carrying two surfboards under his arms, Paskowitz and members of his Surfing For Peace Movement handed the colourful boards to Gaza riders at a small ceremony on Tuesday at the Erez crossing between Israel and the impoverished coastal area.

He said he came up with the idea at his home in Hawaii about two weeks ago when he saw a picture of "two surfers in Gaza with a stinking board." Gaza has been under a crushing international economic boycott for almost 18 months, and its isolation has deepened since the Western-boycotted Hamas seized control of the territory two months ago.
Memo to AFP: Gaza has been under a "crushing" economic boycott because it's filled with terrorists, and no amount of surfboards is going to change any behavior.
