Signs of the Times

As I've awoken to a wicked ice and snowstorm this morning here in New Jersey, I can only imagine how sad Al Gore is that he can't deliver a lecture somewhere about how we're all supposed to melt away and die soon. What does he have to worry about, he's made himself wealthy spreading fear and propaganda to the great unwashed, so I doubt he has to go commute somewhere or shovel his driveway.

Anyway, on a day like this, it's rather amusing to see the ironic headlines Drudge has up:

HOUSE HEARING ON 'WARMING OF THE PLANET' CANCELED AFTER ICE STORM

The Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building has been postponed due to inclement weather. The hearing is entitled “Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?”

The hearing will be rescheduled to a date and time to be announced later.
Try selling us your BS in August. Nobody wants to hear this crap today.

Then there's this:

SAVE IT FOR A SUNNY DAY: Maryville Univ. in St. Louis area cancelling screening of Al Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth' because of a snowstorm...

It might be a good idea for a university to show something educational, not fiction.

Oh well, time to go worry about melting polar ice caps as I chisel some ice off my car.
