Mentally Handicapped Man Charged With Blasphemy

If your mentally handicapped in Pakistan and set fire to your own house, things can get a bit strange if you happen to rent to a greedy moonbat relative.
Shahdara Town police on Saturday registered a blasphemy case against a mentally handicapped person for allegedly burning his house, which had a few copies of the Quran.
Should've had some Bibles, burning them is halal.
The case was registered against Nadir Ali under Section 295 B of the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR stated that the incident took place on Friday. Shahid Maqbool, a relative of the accused who lived in the upper portion of the house on rent, is the complainant.

Several neighbours alleged that Shahid wanted to grab Nadir’s property because he was paying Nadir to live in the upper portion. Police said they had to register an FIR against Nadir on the orders of Assistant Superintendent of Police Tahir Mehboob after locals started demonstrating outside Shahdara Town police station. Police alleged that Shahid had convinced the locals that Nadir had burned copies of the Quran.

Daily Times has found that Nadir is an elderly person living in a house in Aslam Park, Street No 6, for several years. Nadir is mentally handicapped and does not meet his wife or children. He has brothers who are settled abroad. Nadir had given the upper portion of his house to Shahid Maqbool on rent.

Nadir allegedly set his house on fire, but got out of it in time. Shahid started alleging that Nadir had also burned a few copies of the Quran. Neighbours started protesting against Nadir outside the Shahdara Town police station. Police got to Nadir’s house and found burned out copies of the Quran and sent the accused to the Institute of Mental and Health Sciences on Jail Road.
