170 Cancel WSJ Subscriptions; Can Murdoch Survive?

An utterly laughable story from Editor & Publisher notes that a paltry 170 people have canceled subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal, or one out of every 10,000 subscribers.

How will they carry on?

NEW YORK At least 170 subscribers to the Wall Street Journal have canceled their orders since word emerged that Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. will soon take over the newspaper.

The paper does have 1.7 million print subscribers left.

An article in the Journal today by Martin Peers added that other readers had "voiced their displeasure with the deal in emails."
I'm sure those 170 will likely be offset by new subscribers, but E&P isn't interested in that.

Curious how virtually every newspaper in the country is hemorrhaging readers, but we never hear specific numbers of cancellations.

Now the evil Rupert Murdoch takes over the WSJ, and we have exact cancellation numbers.or
