EU Accounts Fail Again

This is one reason why I always say that the EU will fall apart and it's just a matter of time. You also see a lot of BBC bias in this article as well.

EU accounts failed for 13th year
The auditors for the EU have refused to sign off the bloc's financial accounts - for the 13th year in a row.

A report by the European Court of Auditors (ECA) criticises nearly every major area of the EU's expenditure.
When your auditor refuses to sign off on the report, you've got big problems. In a private business, senior management would be launched, and in the U.S. public sector, any outstanding debt would be defaulted.

Of course, in typical biased BBC fashion, the editors try to put lipstick on the pig.
On the plus side, the auditors say that there has been a marked reduction in the estimated overall level of error in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), responsible for some 40% of all EU expenditure.

The commission is responsible for overseeing the handling of the budget and the auditors praise the "considerable efforts" made to address the weaknesses in its management of risk to EU funding.
What? Considerable efforts? If this was the U.S., how much "plus side" do you think the BBC would be putting into this story?

Right, none.

The only question I have now is how long will it take for the BBC to blame President Bush for this?
