Drug Addict Successfully Sues Dealer

Oh my goodness. It truly is the era of victimology. Now drug abuse is apparently not your fault in Canada. Get the bias in the headline by my good friends at the BBC.

Canadian drug victim sues dealer
A Canadian woman has successfully sued the dealer who sold her an illegal street drug that put her in a coma.

Sandra Bergen, 23, suffered a heart attack and spent 11 days in a coma after taking crystal methamphetamine.

Ms Bergen said Clinton Davey had known the drug was highly addictive and dangerous but sold it to make money.

Mr Davey refused to name his source of the drug, prompting the Saskatchewan judge to reject his defence - that Ms Bergen had taken the drug voluntarily.
So the judge denied the pusher a defense because he would not roll on his supplier?

Look, I'm against illegal drugs as much as anybody, but this is crazy.

So how long was this poor "victim" taking dope?
Ms Bergen became addicted to drugs when she was 18, CTV news said. She overdosed in 2004 in the province of Saskatchewan shortly before her 20th birthday.
So, she had being doing junk for at least two years before this incident. Sure sounds like voluntary use to me.

But, all's well that ends well.
She said she has since stopped taking drugs.
Right, just as I have stopped eating Krispy Cremes and Jammie doesn't like to put up pictures of swimsuit models anymore.
