Iraqi courage and a hero retires

This is the headline you see everywhere.

11 Iraqis die in a suicide bombing
.

Here is the story behind it as reported by the AP.
Two Iraqi soldiers were killed when they tried to thwart the attack by throwing themselves on the bomber who had slipped into the crowd, The Associated Press reports.

The bomber detonated his explosives vest, and killed an additional nine people, including three police officers and four civilians, an Interior Ministry official told CNN.

"These two Iraqi martyrs gave their lives so that others might live," according to a statement issued by the U.S. military, the AP reports.
The headline on CNN reflects this action. I wonder why they haven't been able to find such a way of reporting the news when it involves American troops?

Speaking of heroes.

Gen. Honore is retiring.

For those not aware or who can't quite remember who he is, he is the general who showed up in wake of the chaos caused by Katrina and the local ineffective government and went to work making it right. His famous "Don't get stuck on stupid" resonated across the country and instantly made him a household name. But he talked this way all the time.
His characteristic tirades were wondrous and entertaining. "You're looking at a calendar, and I'm looking at my watch," he routinely ranted to his staff.
