Georgia gun bill pits business against national gun group
Wayne LaPierre, head of the National Rifle Association, made a rare appearance in Atlanta to push for passage of a bill that would protect the rights of employees to leave a licensed firearm in their cars while at work. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce is pushing back hard, arguing that companies should be able to set their own policies when it comes to weapons on workplace property.This was the headline in 1999.
