Bob the Builder Fan Terrorizing Neighbors

An eight-year-old boy in Britain apparently has been receiving subliminal messages from the Bob the Builder cartoon and has taken it upon himself to torment his neighbors.

As a result, the young lad has become on of the youngest people in Britain to be slapped with an anti-social behavior order. It appears the boy's mother is also a bit out of control, and that probably has much more to do with it than some cartoon.
An eight-year-old boy has been banned from carrying hammers and screwdrivers after becoming one of the youngest people in Britain controlled by an ASBO.

Schoolboy Michael Bratcher's mother has been ordered to keep him inside after dark and not to let him out with hammer, saw, screwdriver, nails, chisels, knives, scissors or secateurs.

Michael said he only used the tools to play Bob the Builder games and make a den in nearby woods - but neighbours said he has terrorised their children.

His mother Lisa, aged 46, has been ordered to control him as part of an ASBO which has banned her 22-year-old son Daniel from her home in Fir Walk, Torquay. She is also banned from allowing cannabis in her house, playing loud music, or having more than three visitors a day.

Single mother Lisa said she is the victim of a hate campaign by her neighbours but admits playing loud rave music at her rented former council house.

Torbay County Court this week granted an ASBO to her landlords, the Riviera Housing Trust after hearing statements and evidence from neighbours.

Lisa and her son Daniel are banned from: "assaulting, threatening, pestering, insulting, using threatening behaviour or otherwise abusing" their neighbours. Michael denied terrorising the area and insisted he used the tools to build dens and tree houses.

He said: "I want to be a builder when I grow up and I built a tree house in my back garden with the tool set."

His mother said: "Apparently Michael is the Damien of the neighbourhood. I know he is no angel but what they said about him in court was not true.

"Michael and his little mate used to make camps in the trees across the road and I bought them a hammer and stuff.

"One of the neighbours said he was chasing them with a hammer and a screwdriver.
Maybe it's time the kid watched some other programming and the mother got herself under control.
