Massachusetts Pols to Obama: Hey, Where's Our Free Heating Oil?

I guess now that Hugo Chavez has cut off the spigot the pathetic Democrats in Massachusetts are now forced to turn to their own federal government to keep their houses warm. Look at the bright side: Nowhere in the story do they mention the ravages of mythical global warming.
The Bay State’s congressional leaders, governor and heating assistance groups are calling on President Obama to immediately release millions more dollars in aid as thousands of Hub families run out of money to warm their homes.

U.S. Sens. John Kerry and Paul Kirk and most of the state’s 10 U.S. representatives are urging Obama to release $590 million in emergency heat aid, some of which would assist Massachusetts families.

Kerry, Kirk and 46 other senators signed a petition last week urging Obama to cut loose the $590 million, part of $5.1 billion allocated for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

“I urge President Obama to help protect millions of Americans by making emergency funding available immediately,” Kerry said
Since Obama and the government are already paying their mortgages, why not pick up the heat tab as well? Oh, and don't forget to send some food stamps while you're at it, Barry. People have got to eat, don't you know?

Here's a scenario I see playing out this week: The most beneficent Obama shows up to endorse Martha Coakley for Senate and then (surprise!) announces to the shivering masses that he's sending them free heating oil and oh, don't forget to go vote for the Democrat, OK?

The fix is in, folks.
