Wife-dumping Tiki Barber tried to come crawling back to Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" last year because he was upset about being sidelined on the "Today" show, but he got nowhere, say insiders. Tiki contributed to the FNC morning show from 2005 to 2007 before bolting to "Today," where his underwhelming on-air segments caused producers to use him less and less. "Tiki was unhappy that 'Today' wasn't using him as much as he thought they would, and he wanted to come back to 'Fox & Friends,' " a source told The Post. "His agent approached Fox about a year ago, but they said, 'No, thanks.' He was not perceived as a hot commodity after he left the Giants. And he didn't make many friends at Fox. Tiki was perceived as very smug and self-absorbed. Plus, he basically used them as a steppingstone to go to 'Today.' "On th upside for Barber, smugness and self-absorption means he has a bright future as a liber Democrat. Another plus? It looks like he may have been carrying on with the girlfriend since she was in college. What a guy.
His former teammates on the Giants weren't exactly fond of the guy, either. SHould be curious to see what some of them have to say.
