Gov. Cuomo stepped up pressure on union leaders Thursday, sending pink slips to 321 workers.Just imagine the howls of outrage if a Republican governor axed 321 jobs.
The layoff notices, including 43 at the state's top environmental watchdog agency, come barely a week after Cuomo alerted 451 workers that their jobs would be eliminated in mid-July.
Most of the workers belong to the 56,000-member Public Employees Federation, which is haggling with Cuomo over a new contract.
