Alabama Joins Georgia In Passing Tough Illegal Immigration Law

While the recently passed, but not yet implemented legislation in Georgia which targets the issue of illegal immigrants is having it's desired effect, their neighbors to the west have also quietly passed their own version, in essence telling the illegals to keep moving.

What gets lost in all the hyperventilating over states passing these measures is the real reason the pro illegal immigrant community is so upset and filing law suits to stop them. It is the realization that while these laws are merely for the most part mimicking already standing federal laws, the states mean to follow through with the enforcement part. Illegals laugh at the DHS and ICE since they have come to realize that political correctness has hobbled the agencies into paralysis.

In Georgia there has been a howl of protests from farmers who are suddenly finding themselves without a work force this year, but maybe, just maybe if some of those unemployed citizens really want to work they should contact these farmers. I am not going to deny that the work is hard especially in the hot weather we have but it all boils down to how serious a person is about providing for their family through a honest days work or if they are content to continue sitting at home drawing that government check each month. There is a large pool of out of work young people this year thanks to Obamanomics and if you can pry them away from their gaming consoles they could fill this shortfall.

So How Was Your Night?

For many of us in the south our night was spent being serenaded by tornado sirens while being dazzled by the light show being put on by Mother Nature.

And we were the lucky ones. For many of my neighbors, dawn couldn't come soon enough and most of us didn't get a lot of sleep. What separated Georgia from Alabama, besides the level of destruction, is that by the time the storms got here the sun had set. A tornado could have set down and nobody would see it. Just hear it.

There is another town, Trenton, GA that folks are still trying to find this morning. Eyewitnesses can only say it is gone. The fact that the loss of life in the northwest corner of Georgia so far has been low is incredible, but with all the reports of the devastation we expect that to rise through the day.

How bad was it? Because of the darkness while radar could track the storms the only way meteorologists had of telling if a possible tornado had set down was by tracking what they called 'debris balls' on the radar.

But the sun did rise today, and the people around these parts will roll up their sleeves and get to work helping their neighbors and we will make this right. There will probably be little coverage cause you just won't find victims. You find survivors.

Our Road Signs Aren't In Chinese

Alabama gubernatorial candidate Tim James is raising eyebrows with a recent campaign ad he made advocating to administer the driver's license test in English only. Of course the usual suspects throw all common sense out the window and immediately play the race card.


Why are they throwing common sense out the window? How many road signs in America have you seen written in Hangul (Korean), Spanish, German, or any other language? Georgia is debating the same thing and going into the last day of legislative session have a bill pending that says the same thing.

This was brought to a head in Georgia because of a spate of wrong way drivers on our roads that have caused accidents and killed innocent people. In quite a few cases the driver of the offending vehicle it was discovered could not read the signs. You know the ones that say Wrong Way, Do Not Enter. Note to the ACLU, not all of the offenders were of Hispanic heritage. Some were Asian, European, etc.

So yeah, it isn't an attempt to deny anybody the privilege of getting a drivers license. It is an attempt to make sure that those who do get one are not a threat to others on the highway.

When I was taking the test for a drivers license in Germany, granted many years ago, I had to read German so that I knew what the signs said. They didn't make any special distinction just because I was an American. And trust me, the license test in Germany is a lot harder then anything I ever faced in America.

For the lefties out there a license is a privilege, not a right.

Funny how that happens with converts to Islam. The person in the background of this picture is Omar Hammami now known as Abu Mansour al-Amriki. The picture is a screen shot from a video recently released showing Al Queda fighters training in Somalia.

Omar grew up in Daphne, Alabama in family with a mother who was Baptist and a father who was Muslim. He converted to Islam in high school, went to college for a little while and then headed to Canada and as we see now is in Somalia training terrorists.

Guys like this have got to cause liberals all kinds of heartburn, after all he ain't nuttin' but some knuckle dragging, southern redneck, clinging to his guns and his bible Koran. If he winds up in Gitmo the ACLU will no doubt rush to his rescue and we will be besieged with feel good stories about how he is just a wayward youth who weren't doing nuttin' wrong.

Hopefully he will be the subject of interest of a cruise missile or maybe target practice for a Navy SEAL team.

Five Illegal Aliens Murdered In Drug Related Case In Alabama

The victims were Hispanic, all illegal immigrants. Interviews with family members and associates helped investigators piece together a sketchy portrait of what happened.

And where is this information contained in this AP news article? Way down almost at the end. Buried in the story after talk of how the drug distribution system works in this country. Long after the original facts of the murders are presented. Long after anyone is paying attention.

Agents described it as friendly competition turned deadly among a group of distributors from Atlanta and Birmingham that often sold and shared drug loads when one or the other group was running low. At some point, about a half-million in drug money went missing. One group suspected the other of taking it, and went after the five men at Cahaba Lakes.

With friends like that who needs enemies. I don't know how the open borders advocates which populate the Obama administration like DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano are going to take the news. Of course she is too busy tracking all of us Right Wing Extremist Veterans.

In reading the story you will also find out what the definition of torture is, and it ain't putting caterpillars in box or bouncing somebody off of a fake wall.
