Stunner: Another Corrupt Democrat Facing Ethics Investigation for Sexual Harassment

One of those Democrat shining stars, an impeached judge, is now facing investigation after allegations of sexual harassment.

A congressional ethics panel is investigating allegations that Florida Democratic Rep. Alcee Hastings sexually harassed a member of his staff, according to people familiar with the matter.

The investigation of Mr. Hastings is being conducted by the Office of Congressional Ethics, the House's independent ethics investigative arm, and it is at a preliminary stage.

It began at least a month ago after Judicial Watch, a conservative group, filed a lawsuit as the legal counsel for Winsome Packer, a staffer on a commission Mr. Hastings headed. She alleged that she had been sexually harassed by the congressman and that he retaliated when she tried to report it.

At the time, Mr. Hastings was chairman of the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a group set up in the 1970s to monitor a Cold-War era pact. Ms. Packer, a Republican, also worked for the commission.

Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, said his organization has been contacted by House investigators. "We can confirm that Ms. Packer is cooperating with the Office of Congressional Ethics," he said.

Since feminists have long declared sexual harassment in the workplace to be among the worst crimes known to man, we expect a full-throated condemnation from NOW. Any year now. It's coming, trust me.

Packer sued Hastings in March, a story that received scant notice from the state-controlled media. So great to have that protection when you're a Democrat.

Moronic Racist Democrat Apologizes to Palin ... Well, Not Really

Leave it to a disgraced impeached judge to utter such a moronic statement in the first place. But really, this apology isn't worth diddly squat since this slob still stands behind the sentiments of his remarks in the first place.

An African-American congressman from Florida is apologizing for his comment that black and Jewish voters should not support Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin because "anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks."

"I regret the comments I made last Tuesday that were not smart and certainly not relevant to hunters or sportsmen," Rep. Alcee Hastings said in a statement issued Monday.

What did hunters have to do with it. You were trying to scare the shit out of blacks and Jews.

Of course, he doesn't really mean it though.

In his statement Monday, Hastings said he still backed the sentiment behind his initial remarks. "The point I made, and will continue to make, is that the policies and priorities of a McCain-Palin administration would be anathema to most African Americans and Jews," he said in his statement. "I regret that I was not clearer and apologize to Governor Palin, my host where I was speaking, and those who my comments may have offended."

That's an apology?
