Annoying Rachael Ray Wears Kaffiyeh in Dunkin Donuts Commercial

This one has always gotten on my nerves. Now she deserves nothing but scorn and contempt for wearing the keffiyeh in this Dunkin Donuts web commercial.

Nice way to show her solidarity with those poor, oppressed Palestinians. The keffiyeh, of course, long ago became a fashion staple of the far-left moonbats, so it's no surprise to see this dimwit wearing one.

Chicago Moonbat and Obama Pal Pushing Resolution Opposing War With Iran

It's totally meaningless, of course, but I find it most amusing some dopey Alderman in Chicago finds it his business to determine U.S. foreign policy.

The No War On Iran Coalition urges all citizens of Chicago to support a resolution opposing a U.S. attack on Iran introduced in City Council by Alderman Joe Moore. Noting that 16 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed that Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program and that it poses no imminent threat to the U.S., the resolution expresses the will of the people of Chicago opposing any U.S. attack on Iran and urging the Bush Administration to engage Iran diplomatically. Hearings on the resolution will be held Tuesday, May 13 at 11:30 AM in the Council Chambers, on the second floor of City Hall. Among those confirmed as testifying at the hearing are Douglass Cassel, Farrah Hassen, Stephen Kinzer, John Mearsheimer, Norma Claire Moruzzi, and Scott Ritter. A vote on the resolution will take place the next day, Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 AM in the City Council chambers. We hope to see everyone there.

Over the years Alderman Moore has made a significant contribution to Chicago City Council and his ward. My support for Joe has been based on his commitment to public service and his hard work on behalf of the residents of the 49th ward. Although the recent election was close and hard fought, I trust that all in the 49th ward can look forward to effective service by Alderman Joe Moore.

Must be a coincidence this conference will have a host of academics from the University of Chicago, where Obama taught constitutional law.

Hey, look over there. It's Islamic apologist M. Cherif Bassiouni, who spoke at CAIR's "Islamophobia" Conference and authored a fundraising letter for the unindicted Hamas co-conspirators during the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Look, another Obama connection. Laura Washington, who served on the same board as Barack Obama and terrorist William Ayers.

Washington praised Ayers as "an admired and respected member of Chicago's civic community" and "a very big proponent of self-determination in education: Community schools and for the community to have a role in improving education."

There's another former Alderman, 1960s relic Dick Simpson.

Rounding out this prestigious list of supporters is former New York Times reporter and fulltime moonbat Stephen Kinzer.

Support for the resolution comes from diverse ideological quarters, as a glance at those testifying in support attests. Scott Ritter, a 12 year veteran of US Marine intelligence and former UN chief weapons inspector in Iraq; John Mearsheimer, a realist international relations expert from the University of Chicago who voted for Bush in 2000; veteran New York Times foreign correspondent (and CiF contributor) Stephen Kinzer. They represent the breadth of opposition to further military adventurism in an unstable part of the globe.

No one harbours any illusions that the resolution will stop a US attack on Iran. Rather, the measure is seen as a vehicle to raise the profile of the issue - right in the country's heartland - and demonstrate broad opposition to a wider war. Several US cities have passed such resolutions, but Chicago would be by far the largest and most prominent to do so. A Chicago success could inspire activists in other cities to press their local governments to pass similar measures.

It was a motley gathering of anarchists, 60s leftovers, Communist groups and other assorted human debris Saturday in Washington, and up to 150 pieces of scum wound up arrested.

More than 150 arrested at Iraq protest

WASHINGTON - Thousands of protesters marched Saturday from the White House to the Capitol to demand an end to the Iraq war, leading to the arrests of at least 150 people.

Many of the protesters were arrested without a struggle after they jumped over a barricade near the base of the Capitol. But some grew angry as police attempted to push them back using large black shields and a chemical spray. Protesters responded by throwing signs and chanting: "Shame on you."

Before arriving at the Capitol lawn, the demonstrators marched on Pennsylvania Avenue holding banners and signs and saying, "What do we want? Troops out. When do we want it? Now."

Counterprotesters lined the sidewalks behind metal barricades. There were some heated shouting matches between the two sides.

At the Capitol lawn, some protesters lay down with signs on top of their bodies to represent soldiers killed in Iraq.

The protesters gathered earlier Saturday near the White House in Lafayette Park with signs saying "End the war now" and calling for President Bush's impeachment. The rally was organized by the ANSWER Coalition and other groups.

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan told the crowd is was time to be assertive.

"It's time to lay our bodies on the line and say we've had enough," she said. "It's time to shut this city down."

Update 5:00pm Eastern. Well, they came, they spewed, they cursed. Several thousand Soros marchers descended on the Capitol yelling “Fuck Bush” and “Fuck you” at Gold Star Families. As Capitol Hill police arrested the “die-in” participants, young peaceniks shouted “What does a pig look like? The Capitol police” and “Oink! Oink! Oink.” Others shrieked about “Fascism!” and gleefully performed “Sieg Heil” salutes. We’ll have video from the midst of the moonbats. Across from Taft Park, some anti-American demonstrators waving a large, upside-down American flag and pulling a coffin with Army boots got in a scuffle with Eagles. We’ll have that video of that as well.
