Obama the Comedian: 'We Rescued the Economy'

If you need a good laugh tonight, stand-up comedian Barack 'Shecky' Obama will be appearing at the White House for a one-night engagement, reportedly to be televised on some networks.

He plans on offering up some fresh material, including this side-splitter:

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told The New York Times Obama intends to use the news conference as a "six-month report card," to talk about "how we rescued the economy from the worst recession" and the legislative agenda moving forward, including health care and energy legislation.

His rescue of the economy includes three million jobs lost, near 10% unemployment, the disastrous cap-and-tax scam and now the ObamaCare scam that promises to completely wreck the economy and leave 83.4 million Americans without their current health insurance.

Of course if some reporter actually points this out to the amateur comedian he won't have any knowledge what they're talking about since he doesn't even know what's in his own plan. Is it any wonder people are openly laughing at him and his supporters.

New Math: Despite Nearly 3 Millions Jobs Lost, Stimulus Has 'Created or Saved' 150,000 Jobs

How long do these people think they can get away with this nonsense? Anyone with functioning brain matter can see unemployment skyrocketing and millions losing their jobs, yet those living in the Land of Make Believe continue to peddle these absurd fantasies and outright lies.

The economic stimulus plan has created or saved 150,000 jobs since its inception in February, a senior White House Budget Office official said Wednesday.

Rob Nabors, the deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, told a congressional panel that the jobs figure is based on an economic model used by the Obama administration.

He told the House Oversight Committee that the administration didn't differentiate between jobs created and existing jobs saved.

Both congressional Democrats and the Obama administration have continued to state the $787 billion stimulus plan will eventually save or create 3.5 million jobs.

Eventually. And eventually, Obama will no longer be president, and maybe we can begin to recover from this disaster.

I guess that manufactured "anger" and "outrage" isn't quite working as planned.

President Barack Obama says he cannot "govern out of anger" just because of public outrage over bonuses paid at financial institutions kept afloat by taxpayer dollars.

Doubletalk and hypocrisy apparently is a governing strategy.

Kroft to Obama: 'Are You Punch-Drunk?'

I don't have the stomach to watch this blithering idiot on 60 Minutes, but this is sure to make news.

President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”

His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.

“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.

“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft says.

“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

A regular comedian, this guy. He's watching our economy swirl the drain and he's laughing!
