It sure seems Katy Tur knows how to draw the crazies. Here's Keith Olberdork's ex-girlfriend talking to the nutty MSNBC crank and discussing the lunatic lefty who tried to slice and dice a Muslim cabbie in Manhattan the other night. In an interesting twist, it seems she was pretty much a pen pal with the thug Michael Enright.

Tur, a WNBC reporter who previously worked at NBCU’s Weather Channel was Keith Olbermann’s longtime girlfriend last May when she got the Weather Channel job. We can confirm they broke up more than a year ago, however. When Olbermann closed out the interview, he thanked his “dear friend” Tur.

Tur was on Countdown to describe a report she had been working on for WNBC. She had talked to the 21-year-old Michael Enright charged with attempted murder – five times recently, as he was trying to get publicity for the film he was working on. “The first time I spoke to this guy, I was struck by how incredibly polite he was,” said Tur. “He was, ‘Yes ma’am, no ma’am.’ Very polite on the phone. He wanted to get a point across about how he feels that soldiers really aren’t getting enough attention back in the United States.”

She also said she got an email recently from Enright after a story she reported on the Park51 Islamic Center. “I got an email from Mr. Enright, ‘Hey I really appreciate your story on the Mosque, I think you did a good job,” said Tur.

Keefy's ex comes on around 4:30 into the segment. I wasn't aware the two had broken up but it shouldn't be a surprise since his longest relationship has probably lasted about three weeks. Who the hell could stand to be around the insufferable oaf any longer than that?

This Girl Is Half His Age...

Looks like the low-rated, psychotic MessNBC blabbermouth Keithy Olberdork is helping his very young companion move up the ladder. I guess some women will sacrifice self-dignity to advance their careers.

How sad.

KATY Tur's star keeps rising at NBC Universal, causing some media watchers to ask whether her fatherly boyfriend, MSNBC blabbermouth Keith Olbermann, 50, could be boosting the news cutie's ascension. Tur, 25, who was hired earlier this year by the NBC-owned Weather Channel to chase storms, has started freelancing as a WNBC/Ch. 4 reporter. An MSNBC rep insisted, "Keith has not spoken to anyone about a job at WNBC since 1980. He is delighted that Katy is also working for the Weather Channel."

Just imagine the reaction if Bill O'Reilly, the object of his pathetic obsession, had a chickie-poo half his age getting promoted on a Fox affiliate. It would be fodder for a weeks worth of Speshul Kommentz.

Friends in High Places: Olbermann's Girlfriend Lands On-Air Job

Well, that's if you consider MSNBC a high place. They may be high over there, but their ratings are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Still, Olberdork apparently has enough pull with the suits at General Electric that he managed to get his main squeeze, who's half his age, an on-air gig at the Weather Channel.

Katy Tur, who at 25 is half the age of the MSNBC uber-dork, has landed an on-air reporting job at the Weather Channel. Conveniently, both cable networks are owned by NBC Universal. Do we sense a little preferential treatment? Olbermann huffed to TV Newser: "Anybody who suggests so is misinformed, and/or sadly unaware that in this time when the industry is collapsing around us, nobody gets a job based on 'influence,' only talent."

If that were the case, Olberfraud would be on a soup line.

I guess you could now argue both the MSNBC blowhard and his girlfriend are living on the taxpayer dime considering GE was the recipient of bailout funds.

Nice gig if you can get it.

Pays to Have Friends in Low Places

Apparently sleeping with a guy twice your age does have its benefits, even though that guy is a psychopath with horribly low ratings.

IF you can stomach dating MSNBC blowhard Keith Olbermann, the role does have its perks. We hear Olbermann's live-in girlfriend, Katy Tur, 24, just landed a news-anchor job on CW11, allegedly with his help. Many are whispering about her qualifications, considering she once professed she didn't go to journalism school and she's simply been referred to as a "freelance cable producer" in New York and LA.

The sacrifice some people will make just to get ahead.
