Looking to Cash In On Octomom Name

Considering this weirdo will probably be the only one to pop out eight kids at once, I'd say she's probably got a good shot at trademarking the name.
Nadya Suleman apparently wants to trademark the name "Octomom" which has dominated headlines in the US for nearly three months.

According to reports, the 33-year-old filed two applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office on April 10.

The applications said the divorced, unemployed mother of 14 wants to put the Octomom name on TV shows, clothing and nappies.

Speaking to radaronline.com at home with her babies, she said: "The reason I chose to do that is because I heard someone else did that in another state, Texas I think.

"I have no idea why someone who has no association or even knows me would take that name. I never invented that name - everyone else did."

Octomom Offered $1 Million To Do Porn

I think I'm going to be ill. Sure, it's probably just a cheesy attempt at getting in on the Suleman news bandwagon, but considering the industry, I'm sure they're serious.
Major porn distributor Vivid Entertainment has just fired off a letter to Nadya Suleman, offering her 1 million bucks to star in a skin flick of her own. Vivid is willing to go one step further, by telling us they'll give her family full medical and dental insurance if she becomes a "contract girl"... meaning she'll have to do multiple videos.
That million dollars will really go far. Probably will cover a month's worth of hospital bills.

Update: Is this even too much for the Ace of Spades lifestyle?

Sorry, Guys, Octomom's Off the Market Until 2027

No doubt she's got suitors lining up around the block trying to get some action. Mentally unstable, no job, 14 kids, what's not to like?
The oddball mom of eight newborns hasn't had sex for eight years, and vows to go dateless for another 18, according to published reports yesterday.

Nadya Suleman, 33, insisted she hasn't been with a man since well before her eldest son, who is 7, was born though in vitro fertilization.

"I can't remember the last time I went on a date," Suleman told The Sun newspaper of London, after she was asked when was the last time she had sex. "Boyfriends? I think I'd have to be extremely selfish. I cannot maintain a social life and be a mother."

Suleman promised to abstain from men until all her kids have grown up and flown the coop.
That date will be reality TV gold.

California Clown Car Besieged With Offers: 'Everyone Wants To Talk To Her'

Ka-ching! She'll have no shortage of media enablers. Hey, maybe if this sudden fame works out she can do a reality series and she can pop out a fresh dozen next time.
The mother of the longest-living octuplets in the U.S. is being deluged with offers for book deals, TV shows and other business proposals, but has not decided what she might do other than care for her children, her newly hired spokeswoman said Monday.

Hundreds of requests have been made since Nadya Suleman gave birth to six boys and two girls a week ago, said Joann Killeen, president of Killeen Furtney Group, a public relations company.

"She's the most sought after mom in the world right now," Killeen said. "Everyone wants to talk to her."

But Suleman, who remained hospitalized with her children Monday at Kaiser Permanente's Bellflower Medical Center, hasn't decided what she'll do next, Killeen said.

Some of the deals and requests for interviews involve offers to pay, said Killeen and her partner, Mike Furtney. They didn't reveal the amounts being offered, but Killeen noted that raising eight babies will be expensive, adding that Suleman plans to carefully review her financial opportunities.
