Prince Charles: 'I Happily Talk to the Plants and Trees, and Listen to Them'

Talking to plants keeps him relatively sane, he says. Who knows how nutty he'd be otherwise?
"I happily talk to the plants and trees, and listen to them. I think it's absolutely crucial," the prince says. "Everything I've done here, it's like almost with your children. Every tree has a meaning for me."

For the man who would be king, the disclosures could be a little off putting. But not for Katie Nicholl, author of the upcoming book "William and Harry."

"He is slightly eccentric, but I think eccentric people make the world go 'round and make it a lot more fun," Nicholl told "Good Morning America."

Prince Charles was an organic pioneer long before it was hip.

"I got a lot of flak for a lot of things," Charles says in the documentary. "I mean, potty this, potty that, loony this, loony that."

But far from looney, the prince says speaking to the plants keeps him "relatively sane," according to the UK Press Association.

Megatool Prince Charles Declares He's Here to Save the Planet or Something

If ManBearPig is looking for competition as to who the biggest douchebag on the planet is, he need look no further. Why oh why can't these spoiled rich morons just shut the fuck up and enjoy life without looking for some larger purpose to justify their existence?
The Prince of Wales says he believes he has been placed on Earth as future King ‘for a purpose’ - to save the world.

Giving a fascinating insight into his view of his inherited wealth and influence, he said: ‘I can only somehow imagine that I find myself being born into this position for a purpose.

‘I don’t want my grandchildren or yours to come along and say to me, “Why the hell didn’t you come and do something about this? You knew what the problem was”. That is what motivates me.

‘I wanted to express something in the outer world that I feel inside... We seem to have lost that understanding of the whole of nature and the universe as a living entity.’

His impassioned comments come during a film about his belief that unbridled commerce has led to the destruction of farmland and countryside.

The documentary, called Harmony, is due to be aired on the U.S. network NBC in November to coincide with the launch of a book of the same name by the prince.

Charles is understood to have waived his author’s fee, and all royalties will go to his charity, the Prince’s Trust.

But the Prince has previously come under fire for hypocrisy over his eco-values.

Last year he commandeered a jet belonging to the Queen’s Flight to attend the Copenhagen climate change summit, generating an estimated 6.4 tons of carbon dioxide - 5.2 tons more than if he had used a commercial plane.

Graham Smith, of the anti-monarchy group Republic, said: ‘He is under the impression he has been sent to save the world and deliver us from our sins. It’s quite delusional.

He will have to be impartial and keep his mouth shut when he’s king. If he really believes this is his mission and he disagrees with Government in future, he risks plunging us into a constitutional crisis.

NBC To Air Environmental Special With Extremist Nutcase

Surely you were expecting Al Gore, right? Well, NBC has found someone even more daft to highlight in some propaganda film coming this fall.
Britain's Prince Charles will be featured on NBC later this year in a film about his environmental work.

The network said Tuesday it will show "Harmony," a movie about the prince and his view that people have lost the understanding of how to live in harmony with the natural world. It features business and environmental leaders working for a better balance.

Paul Telegdy, head of alternative programming at NBC, said Prince Charles was mocked as the "tree-hugging prince" when he first started talking about many of these issues. Telegdy knows - he's a Brit who worked for the BBC.

"I always thought of him as one of the leading environmental activists on the planet," he said.

The film also includes clips from an interview Prince Charles did about the environment in 1988 with future Nobel Prize winner Al Gore.

The special will air in November, part of NBC Universal's fourth annual week of programming promoting green lifestyles.
Of course this freeloader has one of the more massive carbon footprints known to man, a fact sure to be overlooked in this schlockumentary.
Goodall made use of publicly available records to estimate the prince’s travel and utility bills. He found that Charles was responsible for nearly 1,600 tons of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of more than 600 cars on Britain’s roads for a year.

Flights taken by Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall generated more than 800. They flew more tons of CO2 than 70,000 miles last year, including frequent visits to Scotland and tours of the United States, the Gulf, Pakistan and Africa.

The prince’s foreign air travel has been controversial. In January he travelled first class to the United States with Camilla and 14 aides, where he picked up an environmental awareness award. The two-day tour cost up to £120,000 and generated 54 tons of CO2. In February he hired an Airbus A319, which can seat 140 people, to carry him, Camilla and 23 aides to the Gulf at taxpayers’ expense. The tour, which generated 380 tons of CO2 four press advisers, an equerry, a dresser for the duchess, a hairdresser, two valets, a butler, a doctor, three staff in charge of logistics and travel, and a personal assistant.
When Chuckles jaunts off to the Caribbean, he and his wife really walk the walk, economizing to save the taxpayers unnecessary expense by using a small boat just for two.

Last year this conscientious guardian of the planet embarked on a South American eco-tour and racked up an astounding 322-ton carbon footprint. Meanwhile, last December this oaf jetted in style to meet with the beautiful people in Copenhagen.
PRINCE Charles used up seven months’ worth of the average British person’s “carbon footprint” yesterday flying to Copenhagen on an executive jet to make a speech on climate change.

The heir to the throne, who prides himself on his green credentials, cost taxpayers an estimated £12,000 and racked up a 6.486-ton carbon footprint in one day by taking a seven-seater RAF Royal Flight HS125 jet to the summit in the Danish capital.
This is who NBC deems appropriate to lecture the rest of us about being green.

Maybe they can have Giselle Bundchen come on for a guest appearance.

By the time this chump shows up on NBC, according to his estimate the planet will only have six years left.
PRINCE CHARLES warned world leaders last night they had just seven years to save the world.

In a passionate speech at the UN climate change summit in Copenhagen, Charles described the event as "historic".

He said: "Our planet has reached a point of crisis and we have only seven years before we lose the levers of control."

The prince said mankind had the power to push the planet to the brink but also the ability to bring it back into balance.

He added: "This is an historic moment. I can only appeal to you to listen to the cries of those who are already suffering from the impact of climate change.

"The eyes of the world are upon you and it is no understatement to say that, with your signatures, you can write our future."

Prince Charles said humankind seemed "intent on consuming the planet".
He's sure done more than his share.

A Carbon Footprint That Would Make Al Gore Blush

Environmental wacko Prince Charles has flown off on a whirlwind tour to promore the global warming hoax and is going in style.
Prince Charles is being accused of hypocrisy after it was revealed that he is chartering a luxury private jet for a five-day tour of Europe to promote environmental issues.

The Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall, plus ten Clarence House staff, will fly from London to Rome this evening. Then they will fly on to Venice and Berlin, before returning to Britain.

Clarence House aides stress that the trip is at the request of the Government to promote its climate change policies.

But instead of using scheduled flights, the Royal party has hired a private plane, thought to be an Airbus A319.

According to experts from the Carbon Managers company, which carries out environmental audits, the aircraft's four European flights over 2,200 miles will leave a carbon footprint of 52.95 tons - nearly five times the average person's 11-ton footprint for an entire year.

Each member of Charles's party will leave a carbon footprint of 4.41 tons - 13 times more than if they had used a scheduled flight on the same type of plane, which can carry up to 156 passengers.

The flights on the specially converted jet, which boasts a master suite with its own lavatory and shower, will cost an estimated £80,000 - five times more than business-class fares on scheduled airlines.

Um, Chuck, Al Beat You To It

Somebody ought to break it to this dunce that a certain bloated former politician already cornered the market on this scam.
PRINCE Charles will focus on the threat big business poses to the environment in a new book and documentary due for release next year.

The project has been named Harmony and Charles will follow in the footsteps of former US vice-president Al Gore, whose film An Inconvenient Truth won an Oscar and helped him earn the Nobel Peace Prize.

Publisher HarperCollins says the Prince's book will argue humans have become dangerously disconnected from nature through their relentless pursuit of economic growth and technological progress.

In a statement released by the Rupert Murdoch-owned publishing house, Prince Charles said people had "a sacred duty of stewardship of the natural order of things".

"In some of our actions we now behave as if we were masters of nature and, in others, as mere bystanders," he said.

"If we could rediscover that sense of harmony; that sense of being a part of, rather than apart from nature, we would perhaps be less likely to see the world as some sort of gigantic production system, capable of ever-increasing outputs for our benefit - at no cost."
Yawn.

This from a guy who once fantasized about reincarnated as a tampon.

Great News: Submoronic Royal Says We've Only Got 100 Months to Save the World

Mark it down, boy and girls, we've only got until July 2017. This boob almost makes Al Gore seem lucid.

Almost. Although he sounds even more hysterical than last week.
PRINCE Charles has compared human inactivity over climate change to frogs being boiled alive, and says we can't see the way the environment is changing because we're too close to it.

British tabloid The Sun reports the heir to the throne made his comments in the Amazon while on a tour of South America to raise awareness of climate change.

“The trouble is it's the old boiled frog syndrome," he said. "You can’t tell if you are in the water that it is gradually heating up. You just get used to the heat and you don’t notice until suddenly it reaches boiling point and it’s too late to do anything about it.”
Of course that's utter nonsense, but why ruin a good scare tactic?
Boiled frog syndrome refers to the idea that if you put a frog into boiling water it will jump out, but if you put it in cold water and slowly raise the temperature, it will be boiled alive. It isn’t true – when the water gets hot the frog will jump out, but it does make a nice metaphor.
Maybe someone can come up with a god tampon metaphor. Would be much more appropriate for this douchebag.
“Nature has so many of the answers but we have somehow imagined that we can somehow defeat it, suppress it, squash it into a corner,” the Prince said.

“The trouble is that nature will always come back and hit you in the teeth if you don’t respect her."

Yesterday, Prince Charles said we have only 100 months to save the world before time literally runs out.
This at least gives us a timeframe to work with. Hopefully in eight years someone can remind this dolt how absurd his prediction was, assuming he's still around living on the public dole.

Crazy Man Warns of 'Eco-Disaster'

No, not Algore. I know. Had you fooled. But this clown sounds just as off his rocker.
THE current global financial crisis is "nothing" compared to the impact of climate change, Prince Charles warned as he called for urgent environmental protection measures.

"We are, I fear, at a defining moment in the world's history," he told a meeting of Brazilian business leaders and officials in Rio de Janeiro halfway through a Latin America tour.

"The global recession is far worse than any seen for generations," he said, adding that growing demand for energy and food created the potential for "political uncertainty in every continent".

But, worse, he said, was that "the threat of catastrophic climate change calls into question humanity's continued survival on the planet".

He stressed: "Any difficulties which the world faces today will be as nothing compared to the full effects which global warming will have on the world-wide economy."
Yawn.

Bali Bomber Execution Delayed By ... Prince Charles?

Figures this jug-eared galoot would interfere with justice. Yo Chuckles, move on so we can proceed with the firing squad.
Indonesian authorities could be waiting for Prince Charles to leave the country before proceeding with the execution of the Bali bombers, reports say.

The bombers looked to have survived another night on death row without facing execution, by firing squad, after an Indonesian judge said yesterday that judicial appeals by the bombers would not delay their executions.

However the ABC reported there was speculation the executions were being held up until Prince Charles left Indonesia tomorrow.

Authorities might also be hoping that coverage of the US presidential election would take the focus off the executions, it said.
Naturally, the longer this is delayed, the more time there is for the fanatics to peddle their crackpot conspiracies.
