Barry O is going to a high school graduation in Kalamazoo, MI, and for the students graduating the price of admission is that they show their papers.

The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.

Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.

No word on if California will now cut off diplomatic relations with the White House over this obvious abuse of power. Pretty obvious that Obama appointees are not subjected to the same scrutiny.

On the other hand, this seems to be the only segment of the population that the Dems can hope to hold on to in the next election.

Suspended For Running Background Check On Obama

Remember the whole Joe the Plumber debacle? In that case a private citizen had his private life investigated and exposed for daring to assert that then presidential candidate Barack Obama might have some economic policies that weren't in the best of tradition of the free enterprise system that had has made America still the envy of the rest of the world by a government employee. I, and most others, spoke out against that so to stay consistent I must say that these guys shouldn't have done this either without some sort of justification, however I do find it odd that they get suspended right away after an inquiry from the Secret Service.

The United States Secret Service notified county officials that DeKalb County computer equipment was utilized to do a query on the President.

Such behavior, said William “Miz” Miller, DeKalb Public Safety director, is not to be tolerated.

The message should be clear. If you are going to do this sort of thing you need to be prepared for Big Brother to come a knocking. It no longer seems to matter whether you do this from home or work, a well placed phone call will find you on the wrong side of the powers that be.

I am not defending the officers, although I will bet at the time the officers were more curious then they had any sort of malevolent intent. What is even more ironic is that Dekalb county, a suburb of Atlanta voted overwhelmingly for Obama.

Be careful out there boys and girls, and don't use government equipment to do research.

Secret Service: 'Kill Him' Claim Unfounded

Does it surprise anyone that Barack Obama repeated the big lie promulgated by the left that someone shouted "kill him" at a Sarah Palin rally?

Of course not. He's a liberal. Lying comes naturally. But now today all anyone is going to hear is that the "crazies on the right" want to kill Obama.

Lovely.

The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Oabama’s [sic] name a man in the audience shouted “kill him."

News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.

Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.

He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

Slavoski said more than 20 non-security agents were interviewed Wednesday, from news media to ordinary citizens in attendance at the rally for the Republican vice presidential candidate held at the Riverfront Sports Complex. He said Singleton was the only one to say he heard someone yell “kill him.”

“We have yet to find someone to back up the story,” Slavoski said. “We had people all over and we have yet to find anyone who said they heard it.”

Hackett said he did not hear the remark.

Slavoski said Singleton was interviewed Wednesday and stood by his story but couldn’t give a description of the man because he didn’t see him he only heard him.

When contacted Wednesday afternoon, Singleton referred questions to Times-Tribune Metro Editor Jeff Sonderman. Sonderman said, “We stand by the story. The facts reported are true and that’s really all there is.”

We say it's true, therefore it is.

What a smug asshole.

Keith Olbermann and the rest of these propaganda outlets must be so proud of themselves that their big lie made its way onto the national stage. That lie swept the blogosphere for a week and spun so far out of control that we had New York Times columnists conjuring up visions of the Weimar Republic this past weekend.

Congratulations to the left. Lying has gotten you this far, so why stop now?

Man Arrested for Threatening Obama; Also Hated Bush

So some maniac threatens both President Bush and Barack Obama and here's how the headlines are presented.

These are the headlines that will run around the globe in a flash. Reaction from the left of course will be the usual "they're out to get him," and hysteria will ensue.

But when you read the story, you'll note this character also had a little problem with the sitting president.

MIAMI - A man who authorities said was keeping weapons and military-style gear in his hotel room and car appeared in court Thursday on charges he threatened to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Raymond Hunter Geisel, 22, was arrested by the Secret Service on Saturday in Miami and was ordered held at Miami's downtown detention center without bail Thursday by a federal magistrate.

A Secret Service affidavit charges that Geisel made the threat during a training class for bail bondsmen in Miami in late July. According to someone else in the 48-member class, Geisel allegedly referred to Obama with a racial epithet and continued, "If he gets elected, I'll assassinate him myself."

Obama was most recently in Florida on Aug. 1-2 but did not visit the South Florida area.

Another person in the class quoted Geisel as saying that "he hated George W. Bush and that he wanted to put a bullet in the president's head," according to the Secret Service.

Geisel denied in a written statement to a Secret Service agent that he ever made those threats, and the documents don't indicate that he ever took steps to carry out any assassination. He was charged only with threatening Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, but not for any threat against President Bush.

Granted, Bush has likely faced an untold numbers of threats during his presidency, most of which nobody will ever know about. I just find it curious what threat level there was to Obama that was far greater than to that of Bush? Obama obviously has a far lighter security detail, so perhaps that's a factor.
