Wonderful: U.S. Seeks Direct Talks With Mullah Omar

I guess this will be a negotiated surrender. Should do wonders for Obama's re-election and let's face it, that's what this is all about.
American officials have set a goal of direct negotiations with Mullah Omar, the leader of the Taliban, prompting Washington to approach intermediaries to broker meetings within months.

With America expected to begin withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in July, Washington has stepped up the pace of talks with Taliban leaders.

During a visit to Islamabad last month, Marc Grossman, Washington's special envoy to the region, appealed for help in contacting the reclusive Taliban leader, according to Imtiaz Gul, the head of the Centre for Research and Security Studies in Islamabad.

"He said we are looking for people or groups that can demonstrate their access to Mullah Omar," Mr Gul said.

In February, Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of state, signalled a sea change in policy when she compared talking with the Taliban to President Ronald Reagan's decision to "sit down with the Soviets". During a farewell trip to the region last week, Robert Gates, the outgoing US defence secretary, predicted that talks would start "by the end of the year".

Mr Grossman, the replacement for special envoy Richard Holbrooke, has been nicknamed "Mr Reconciliation" and has been told to focus on tying up an agreement that will speed up the return of American troops.

American officials had already contacted Tayyab Aga, Mullah Omar's personal secretary, who was the last public voice of the Taliban in 2001. Analysts believe that President Barack Obama, with Osama bin Laden dead and an economic crisis at home, could announce a larger than expected initial withdrawal this year – at least 10,000 troops – although no announcement has yet been made.

One senior defence official said: "The president has said he wants the withdrawal to start in July and to be meaningful. Those are the discussions that have to happen."

Mr Gul said that time was running out to strike a political deal between Afghanistan's warring factions.

"They [the Americans] are desperate. The timeline has already been announced so they are operating by the idiom 'the sooner the better'," he said. Last year a shopkeeper posed as Mullah Mohammed Akhtar Mansour, a former Taliban minister, and twice met Western officials before they realised they had been tricked – and fleeced for thousands of dollars.

Pair of Florida Imams Among Six Busted for Aiding Taliban

Must just all be a misunderstanding or something.
A U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent, four family members and another man were charged by federal prosecutors with providing “material support” to the Pakistani Taliban.

Three of those indicted, including two South Florida imams, have been arrested, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Three others are at large in Pakistan. All are charged with conspiring to support a conspiracy to murder, maim and kidnap persons overseas as well as supporting the Pakistani Taliban.

Named in the indictment are Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan, 76, of Miami; two of his sons, Irfan Khan, 37, of Miami, and Izhar Khan, 24, of North Lauderdale, Florida, also U.S. citizens; and Ali Rehman, Alam Zeb, and Amina Khan. All are originally from Pakistan, the Justice Department said.

Hafiz and Izhar Khan were arrested today in South Florida while Irfan Khan was picked up in Los Angeles, according to the statement. Amina Khan is Hafiz Khan’s daughter and Zeb is her son, the government said.

Hafiz and Izhar Khan are imams at mosques in southern Florida, the Justice Department said. They are scheduled to appear in federal court in Miami on May 16. Irfan Khan is expected to make his initial court appearance in Los Angeles.

“Despite being an imam, or spiritual leader, Hafiz Khan was by no means a man of peace,” U.S. Attorney Wilfredo A. Ferrer said in the statement. “Instead, as today’s charges show, he acted with others to support terrorists to further acts of murder, kidnapping and maiming.”
Fortunately, no mosques were involved (wink, wink).
Hafiz Khan is the imam at Miami Mosque, also known as Flagler Mosque, and Izhar Khan is the imam at Jamaat Al-Mumineen Mosque in nearby Margate. Officials say the mosques are not suspected of wrongdoing.

Taliban Impressed By Kids Acting Like Them

When it comes to issuing denials nobody is better at it then the Taliban.
The Pakistani Taliban denied making the video, saying it was Western propaganda aimed at defaming their image in the eyes of their countrymen.

“This video has nothing to do with us,” said Ihsanullah Ihsan, one of the group’s spokesmen. “We did not ask these children to copy us in their games but it is clear that they are impressed with our cause and now want to imitate our brave fighters.”

Here is a terrorist group with a long and provable record of not only using children but also exploiting mentally handicapped people to carry out their deadly attacks but also in turn killing those who don't or forcing them to by threatening their families.

That denial doesn't sound like much of a denial and as far as defaming their image, guys you don't need any help with that. You are doing quite nicely on your own.

Now I wonder where those kids learned how to create this little skit? Could it be because they have seen this played out in real life or is there just a lot of television shows in Pakistan which depict this sort of thing and glorify it so much. There is over 5,000 years of recorded history and I don't seem to recall a lot of documentaries showing how in other cultures, you can't really call Islam a civilization, they lauded the taking of life by children.
The music in the background is a Taliban jihadi song. The lyrics are in Pashto. “Throats are cut, bombs go off and then you can go to a nice place," meaning heaven, although the word is not use.

Ahh, the wonderful Religion of Peace®

Great News: Team Obama in 'Secret Talks' with Taliban

Obama's crew apparently needs to focus on the fresh battles, like declaring war on Wisconsin. So why not cut and run from Afghanistan?
The Obama administration has entered into direct, secret talks with senior Afghan Taliban officials, according to a published report.

The talks were characterized in the New Yorker magazine piece as an attempt by the administration "to assess which figures in the Taliban's leadership, if any, might be willing to engage in formal Afghan peace negotiations, and under what conditions."

Earlier yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that only a political solution will end the war in Afghanistan.

"We will never kill enough insurgents to end this war outright," she said during a speech in New York.
Obama's domestic battlefronts will soon be spreading to other states, so he obviously needs to focus on killing American jobs rather than our actual enemies.

Striking Fear Into The Heart of the Taliban

This is what those brave jihadists fear more then anything on earth.

The Mexican Taliban

I came across this information while looking into a case of a recent drug bust in the Atlanta area that involved this Mexican drug gang, La Familia Michoacana. I find it intriguing that there is virtually no difference between this group and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
La Familia cartel is sometimes described as quasi-religious since its current leaders, Moreno González and Méndez Vargas, refer to their assassinations and beheadings as "divine justice"[11] and that they may have direct or indirect ties with devotees of the New Jerusalem religious movement, which is noted for its concern for justice issues.[12]

La Familia’s boss and spiritual leader Nazario Moreno González, (a.k.a.: El Más Loco or The Craziest One) has published his own 'bible',[11][13] and a copy seized by Mexican federal agents reveals an ideology that mixes evangelical-style self help with insurgent peasant slogans. Moreno González seems to base most of his doctrine on the work by a Christian writer John Eldredge. The Mexican justice department stated in a report that Gonzalez Moreno has made Eldredge's book Salvaje de Corazón (Wild at Heart) required reading for La Familia gang members and has paid rural teachers and National Development Education (CONAFE) to circulate Eldredge's writings throughout the Michoacán countryside.[14][15] An idea central to Eldredge's message is that every man must have "a battle to fight, a beauty to rescue and an adventure to live." Eldredge quotes from Isaiah 63, which describes God wearing blood-stained clothes, spattered as though he had been treading a wine press. Then he writes: "Talk about Braveheart. This is one fierce, wild, and passionate guy. I have never heard Mister Rogers talk like that. Come to think of it, I never heard anyone in church talk like that, either. But this is the God of heaven and Earth."

La Familia cartel emphasize religion and family values during recruitment and has placed banners in areas of operations claiming that it does not tolerate substance abuse or exploitation of women and children. According to Mexico Public Safety Secretary Genaro Garcia Luna, it recruits members from drug rehabilitation clinics by helping addicts recover and then forcing them into service for the drug cartel or be killed.[16] Advancement within the organisation depends as much on regular attendance at prayer meetings as on target practice.[6] The cartel gives loans to farmers, businesses, schools and churches,[17] and it advertises its benevolence in local newspapers in order to gain social support.[15]

On July 16, 2009, a man by the name of Servando Gómez Martínez (La Tuta) identified himself as the 'chief of operations' of the cartel. In his TV message, Gómez stated, "La Familia was created to look after the interests of our people and our family. We are a necessary evil," and when asked what La Familia really wanted, Gómez replied, "The only thing we want is peace and tranquility." President Felipe Calderón's government refuses to strike a deal with the cartel and rejected their calls for dialogue.[18][19]

On April 20, 2009, about 400 Federal Police agents raided a christening party for a baby born to a cartel member.[20][21] Among the 44 detained was Rafael Cedeño Hernández (El Cede), the gang’s second in command and in charge of indoctrinating the new recruits in the cartel's religious values, morals and ethics.

So we label this group as a drug cartel and gang and use the full force of law enforcement to interrupt and disrupt their operations but cannot bring ourselves to say the same things about groups like the Taliban. Granted, there are no Taliban enclaves, as far as I know, in this country, but I have to wonder even if there were would law enforcement pursue them with the same zeal that they do the drug lords from south of our border or would they still tippy-toe around out of fear offending the religion of peace.

Discuss amongst yourselves, and in the meantime, try to figure out how the liberal left would handle this. So many ironies for them to wrestle with. How can they defend the Hispanics and legalization of drugs while condemning the Christian aspects without drawing parallels to Muslims?

Taliban Claim Captured U.S. Soldier Has Converted to Islam

Maybe John Kerry can look into this while he's busy negotiating our surrender. I suspect this is all propaganda but it'll surely play into the hands of those who'd prefer to cut and run from Afghanistan.
A captured American soldier is training Taliban fighters bomb-making and ambush skills, according to one of his captors and Afghan intelligence officials.

Private Bowe Bergdahl disappeared in June 2009 while based in eastern Afghanistan and is thought to be the only U.S. serviceman in captivity.

The 24-year-old has converted to Islam and now has the Muslim name Abdullah, one of his captors told The Sunday Times.

A Taliban deputy district commander in Paktika, who called himself Haji Nadeem, told the newspaper that Bergdahl taught him how to dismantle a mobile phone and turn it into a remote control for a roadside bomb.

Nadeem claimed he also received basic ambush training from the U.S. soldier.

'Most of the skills he taught us we already knew,' he said. 'Some of my comrades think he's pretending to be a Muslim to save himself so they wouldn't behead him.'

Afghan intelligence officials also believe that Bergdahl is 'cooperating with the Taliban' and is acting as adviser to fighters at a base in the tribal area of Pakistan.

Wonderful: Kerry Announces Ongoing 'Negotiations' With Taliban

I wonder if he made this announcement from his luxurious $7 million yacht?
Sen. John Kerry, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Friday that there is a "very active" effort under way to reach a negotiated political settlement with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Kerry (D-Mass.) acknowledged that "efforts" have begun after visiting Afghanistan and Pakistan this week, meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and other officials.

"I can report without being specific that there are efforts under way. They are serious and I completely agree with that fundamental premise — and so does General [David] Petraeus and so does President Obama — there is no military solution," he told NPR. "And there are very active efforts now to seek an appropriate kind of political settlement."

U.S. officials have acknowledged that some sort of political settlement must be reached with the Taliban -- a loosely affiliated group of Islamic insurgents that control large swaths of territory in Afghanistan -- in order to bring an end to the almost nine-year-long U.S. war there.

The beginning of settlement negotiations represents a significant development in terms of Western involvement there.

The announcement also comes at a time when a growing number of U.S. politicians and the public are becoming war weary and want a quick end to it.

Kerry was asked if negotiations are underway between either between the Afghan government or NATO and a specific portion of the Taliban.

Allied forces in Afghanistan have fought Taliban insurgents since 2001, when the war began. The group, which once governed the mountainous Central Asian nation, was booted from power, but has since regained control of several key areas of the country.

Kerry said that any "appropriate" settlement would have to include "a renunciation of al-Qaeda," a "reduction of violence," a "recognition of the constitutional rights of both Pakistan and Afghanistan and greater efforts to reduce sanctuaries for insurgency."
God luck with that, Lerch.

Doesn't look like the Taliban is taking these outreach efforts too seriously.

Afghan Couple Stoned to Death for Having Affair

Actually we should say they were accused of having an affair. Who knows the truth when you're dealing with these psychopathic cavemen? Remember though, this is the religion of peace and we're all supposed to pretend this is acceptable behavior in the name of religion or something. A hundred years from now they'll probably be having stonings outside the Ground Zero mosque, site of one of Islam's great triumphs.
A man and woman have been stoned to death in northern Afghanistan after being accused by the Taliban of having an affair, a witness and an official said Monday.

The 23-year-old woman and 28-year-old man were killed because "they had an affair," said Mohammad Ayob, the governor of Imam Sahib district in Kunduz province.

"Two people were stoned to death by Taliban in Mullah Quli village late yesterday," he said. The village is under the control of the Taliban.

Mullah Quli resident Abdul Satar said about 100 people, most of them Taliban insurgents, gathered in the village on Sunday evening as a statement was read out saying the pair had confessed to their affair.

He said the man was married to someone else, and the woman was engaged.

"The Taliban convicted both to stoning to death, some from the crowd started throwing stones at the couple until they died," Satar said.

The couple had their hands bound behind their backs and were forced to stand in an empty field as their sentence was carried out, he said.

A local Taliban commander, who contacted media but refused to give his name, confirmed the killings.

"The couple confessed they had eloped together and based on their confession they were stoned to death," he said.

Under Islamic Sharia law, sex between unmarried people is punishable by public beatings, while punishment for those caught in extra-marital affairs is death by stoning.

Earlier this month, the Taliban publicly flogged and then killed a pregnant widow for alleged "adultery" in western Badghis province.

The killings are a grim reminder of the Taliban's harsh 1996-2001 rule, when apparent crimes were brutally punished after summary trials.

As well as lashings and death by stoning for alleged adulterers, people accused of theft regularly had their hands or feet amputated.

Tolerance: Muslim Activists Celebrate Ground Zero Mosque by Executing 10 Christian Missionaries

All you bigots and Islamophobes better just shut up about this if you know what's good for you.
A British medic who was among 10 aid workers killed by gunmen in an ambush in a remote area of northern Afghanistan was named today by sources as Dr Karen Woo.

The bodies of the Dr Woo, six Americans, a German and two Afghan interpreters were found yesterday next to three bullet-riddled four-wheel drive vehicles in Kuran Wa Munjan district of Badakhshan province.

They had all been shot, police chief General Agha Noor Kemtuz said.

The family of Dr Woo, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, were too upset to comment today.

Dr Woo was returning to Kabul after working in an eye clinic in the Nuristan province when her convoy was attacked.

She had previously worked for private healthcare firm Bupa before she decided to do aid work in Afghanistan.

General Kemtuz added that a third Afghan man who was travelling with the group survived.

Local police said about 10 gunmen robbed the group and killed them one by one.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told reporters militants killed the foreigners because they were 'spying for the Americans' and 'preaching Christianity'.
Meanwhile, if you dare to criticize anyone for being so insensitive for building a mega-mosque at GFround Zero, well, the esteemed Mayor of New York is telling you to just shut up.

'This is the Definition of a Dirty War'

Our guys look the wrong way at a terrorist and they're hauled up on charges. The Israelis are constantly under attack for using supposed WMD when defending themselves against the Islamist marauders.

Yet when we see stories like this we get stifled yawns. No fretting over Geneva Convention protections, no war crimes tribunals, no condemnation from the UN.

Nothing. In fact, we'll probably hear that they wouldn't resort to such brutality if we just let them live in peace.

We made them do it.
British troops risk being infected with HIV as Taliban fighters are hiding contaminated needles with their bombs.

Heroin syringes as well as razor blades are being buried in the ground by insurgents in Afghanistan so that they prick bomb squad experts.

It is believed that the needles, used in Helmand province, are contaminated with hepatitis and HIV as the Taliban use increasingly 'despicable' tactics.

Protective Kevlar gloves have been issued to all Royal Engineer and Royal Logistic Corps bomb search teams.

Conservative MP Patrick Mercer, a former Army officer, exposed the tactic. ‘Are there no depths to which these people will stoop?’ he told the Sun.

‘This is the definition of a dirty war.’

Lieutenant Colonel David Southall, Commanding Officer of the Counter-IED Task Force said: 'Improvised explosive devices remain a tactic of desperation and last resort.

Pakistan Army Officer Linked to Shahzad

The plot deepens. Although this news shouldn't come as a great shock considering how infested the Pakistan army and intelligence services are with Taliban and/or their sympathizers.
Investigators have arrested a Pakistani army major linked to the prime suspect in the botched attempt to bomb New York City's Times Square early this month, Pakistani law enforcement sources said Tuesday.

The major's involvement with suspect Faisal Shahzad, who was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to fly to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, remains unclear. Law enforcement sources said the major had met Shahzad, a naturalized U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent, in Islamabad and was in cellphone contact with him.

The major's arrest marks the first time someone in Pakistan's military establishment has been directly linked to the case. The sources would not say when the alleged meeting and phone calls between Shahzad and the major took place, or what was discussed. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the investigation.

The twist in the case comes as Pakistani authorities have learned more about the 30-year-old Shahzad's links with the Pakistani Taliban, the militant group suspected of helping him carry out the attempted bombing.

Another suspect being held by Pakistani authorities is a Pakistani Taliban member who appeared to play the role of liaison between Shahzad and the militant group. The Taliban member has told Pakistani intelligence agents that he met Shahzad three times last summer, Pakistani law enforcement sources said.

At one of those meetings, the Taliban member gave Shahzad an undisclosed amount of money because Shahzad had said he was running out of cash, according to the sources. U.S. officials familiar with the case have said that the Taliban gave Shahzad roughly $15,000 to pay for the attempted bombing.

The Taliban member's account appears to corroborate assertions by U.S. investigators that the Pakistani Taliban played a significant role in the events that led up to Shahzad's attempt to detonate an SUV loaded with propane tanks and fertilizer in Times Square on May 1.

Pakistani authorities at first had been skeptical of Shahzad's claims of Taliban assistance, saying their investigators had uncovered no link between the militant group and Shahzad, now in custody in the U.S. And although U.S. officials have thought the idea for the attack was likely Shahzad's, evidence is mounting that the Taliban was deeply involved in the plot.
Curious how all the buffoons who were so quick to call this a "one-off" two weeks ago are noticeably silent these days.

Nigerian Taliban Denied Religious Expression

Geez, these police officers ought to be commended not arrested for conducting a pre-emptive strike on the Nigerian version of the Taliban.

I know, I know, we can't go down to the level of the enemy, but really all these officers are guilty of is not allowing the suicide bombers in training from completing their "religious" training and probably murdering scores of innocent civilians when they suffered their holy martyr's death by detonation.
Nigeria has arrested 17 policemen who were filmed apparently executing unarmed members of a radical Islamist sect during a deadly uprising last year, a police source said Monday.

The arrest followed the February 9 broadcast of a five-minute video by Al-Jazeera satellite station showing policemen shooting dead unarmed young men and teenagers outside police headquarters in the northern city of Maiduguri.

The victims are believed to belong to Boko Haram, a Nigerian Islamist sect styled on Afghanistan's Taliban that was behind an uprising in north Nigeria last July in which more than 800 people died, most of them sect members.

The article says tensions in the area have risen since Christians have started settling in the area. Now I wonder who is raising the tensions? Surely not that peace, love and sharia spouting fanatics who dress women in bags and execute them in the public square while turning a small profit by selling tickets to the events.

I know murder should not be condoned no matter what, but I just can't muster much sympathy for those killed.

BTW the Nigerians love our TOTUS.
We are particularly thrilled by the feat of Barack Obama because for the very first time in the history of the USA, he has successfully broken the colour bar. We are even more thrilled that white voters rally forcefully behind this charismatic black man in his quest to become the first black president in the most powerful nation on earth…

The Obama political phenomenon has taken a life of its own. In a mild discussion between two friends, the concept of OBAMA NIGERIA INITIATIVES, LAGOS was born. In the very first day, 30 members of 40 in the highly respected LAGOS STATE PARLIAMENT, representing 75% of the entire population of Lagos State signed up and the list continue to grow.

Our mission is to continue building support base for this illustrious “Obamania” by popularizing what he represent through the production of souvenirs and other materials particularly in Lagos and generally in Nigeria. It is our aim to enlist as many as five million Nigerians from all walks of life; market men / women, artisans, academia, public service, trade unions and as many professional bodies as we could to this for this moral crusade; who share in our dream that the black man deserves its rightful place in the new World Order just unfolding before our very eyes. We share with millions across the world that an Obama Presidency would bring global peace.

So how is that whole World Peace thing working out?

Taliban Lectures Obama on Meaning of "Yes We Can"

You have to plow through all of the praise to Allah for making us poor, destitute, and living in caves like Neanderthals for the lecture that this rock dwelling, weird beard is giving, but if nothing else it is ripe for getting the Hitler in a bunker treatment.

Why does this guy oppose health care reform?

The Table Is Set - Battle of Marjah To Start Soon

For quite some time US and Afghanistan military leaders have been going public about their plans to attack the city of Marjah. Just like the battle of Fallujah there were a couple of reasons for this.

First of course is to warn the civilian population and allow those that can escape to do so. The Taliban of course has a vested interest in holding onto their captives.

Second is to allow all those sympathetic to the Taliban the opportunity to come join what will no doubt turn out to be yet one more mass migration to visit their version of paradise and to wallow in the lushness of the 72 raisins waiting for them there.

All the pieces are now in place and all that is left is to actually kick off the attack.

The American forces of course are going to be hampered by the Rules of Engagement (ROE) that they must follow, which is why the Taliban held onto as many civilians as possible. The current tactic is for them to hide behind women and children until they run out ammo and then throw their weapon to the ground, effectively rendering our forces incapable of engaging them any further. They simply walk away.

There will be no shock and awe type attack, rather it will be a very slow and deliberate process to clear the mines and IED's which surround the city and then a very dangerous and manpower intensive house to house clearing operation.

Keep them in your hearts and minds in the coming days.

Surprise! Amnesty International in Bed WIth Taliban Supporter

We've always been suspicious about the motives of this far left group and for good reason. Evidence now shows a senior official at the "human rights" group has been getting very cozy with a Taliban supporter.

Shocking, isn't it?
A SENIOR official at Amnesty International has accused the charity of putting the human rights of Al-Qaeda terror suspects above those of their victims.

Gita Sahgal, head of the gender unit at Amnesty’s international secretariat, believes that collaborating with Moazzam Begg, a former British inmate at Guantanamo Bay, “fundamentally damages” the organisation’s reputation.

In an email sent to Amnesty’s top bosses, she suggests the charity has mistakenly allied itself with Begg and his “jihadi” group, Cageprisoners, out of fear of being branded racist and Islamophobic.

Sahgal describes Begg as “Britain’s most famous supporter of the Taliban”. He has championed the rights of jailed Al-Qaeda members and hate preachers, including Anwar al-Awlaki, the alleged spiritual mentor of the Christmas Day Detroit plane bomber.

Amnesty’s work with Cageprisoners took it to Downing Street last month to demand the closure of Guantanamo Bay. Begg has also embarked on a European tour, hosted by Amnesty, urging countries to offer safe haven to Guantanamo detainees. This is despite concerns about former inmates returning to terrorism.

Sahgal, who has researched religious fundamentalism for 20 years, has decided to go public because she feels Amnesty has ignored her warnings for the past two years about the involvement of Begg in the charity’s Counter Terror With Justice campaign.

“I believe the campaign fundamentally damages Amnesty International’s integrity and, more importantly, constitutes a threat to human rights,” Sahgal wrote in an email to the organisation’s leaders on January 30. “To be appearing on platforms with Britain’s most famous supporter of the Taliban, whom we treat as a human rights defender, is a gross error of judgment.”

Amnesty is the world’s biggest human rights organisation with 2.2m members and a galaxy of celebrity supporters, including Bono, John Cleese, Yoko Ono, Al Pacino and Sinead O’Connor. Its decision to work with Begg poses liberal backers with a moral dilemma and raises questions about the direction in which Amnesty has travelled since it was set up in 1961 to support “prisoners of conscience”.

“As a former Guantanamo detainee it was legitimate to hear his experiences, but as a supporter of the Taliban it was absolutely wrong to legitimise him as a partner,” Sahgal told The Sunday Times.
So out of some misguided fear at being called Islampophoe and racist they decide to join up with a terror supporter. How idiotic are these people? Of course if you criticize them for this they'll call you racist Islamophobes.

Stunner: Taliban Reject 'Peace' Deal

Some genius there, figuring you could have peace with these 7th century savages. Oh well, I guess we'll just need to eradicate them entirely.
THE Taliban have said they will not enter into any "deal" with the Afghan Government or the West to bring peace to Afghanistan, and their fighters will continue to die to achieve a victory they say is around the corner.

At a conference in London last month, Afghan President Hamid Karzai invited the Taliban to a peace council and set out plans to lure fighters down from the hills in return for cash and jobs.

But in a statement posted on the Islamists' website yesterday, the Taliban vowed to "collude" with no one.

The statement made no specific reference to Karzai's proposed talks.

The Taliban had initially said they would decide "soon" on whether to take part in talks.

The Islamists have repeatedly rejected previous offers of talks before all foreign troops are withdrawn.

Rape, Murder and Videotape, Taliban Style

Via Rusty Shackleford at The Jawa Report. An excerpt here but go over there and read the entire report along with the transcript of the video narration. Strongly recommended for further context before you watch the video. But be warned the video is NOT SAFE FOR WORK IN ANY WAY as it contains graphic images. Looks like this cat Siraj Haqqani may not be long for this earth. We can hope.
Combine Hustler’s Larry Flynt with Coppola’s Don Corleone and what do you get? Siraj Haqqani, the Taliban’s Godfather of Porn.

Allow me to set the stage for one of jihad’s bravest, most pious Muslim warriors.

Siraj Haqqani is the chief operating officer of the deadliest terror network in the Afhanistan/Pakistan (Af/Pak) theater, the Haqqani terror network. It was established by Siraj’s father, the senile Jed Clampett of jihad, Jalaluddin Haqqani. A heretofore remorseless criminal organization, the Haqqanis realized the real growth industry (i.e. money) for the group laid in embracing the jihad. In a stunning come to Jesus, (whoops) come to Allah moment, the Haqqanis magically embraced the war against the Infidel, as well as defenseless Muslims who didn’t toe their Sharia line. What many don’t know is how much dirty laundry hangs off that line.

When Siraj, who is said to rival Mullah Omar for Taliban leadership, isn’t sending his toughest soldiers to roam the bazaars in search of the little blue pills he uses to fuel a thirst for young boys that would have made Michael Jackson blush, he is busy making sure the closet door remains firmly shut on one of the Taliban’s most damning skeletons, the Haqqani pornography ring.

The ring features Siraj’s physician, Dr. Hassan Duraz as its Ron Jeremy, Siraj’s uncle, Ibrahim as the impresario producer/director and Siraj’s cousin, Ishak as the auteur cinematographer.

Here’s how the Haqqani’s horror films “art” movies are put together. Siraj extorts encourages poor Muslim families to do the “right” thing according to Islam and push their sons into jihad. As their magnanimous benefactor, he then sends Ron Jeremy, Dr. Hassan Duraz into their villages to provide medical care. Duraz sets up clinics and the villagers pour in, often in desperate need of medical attention. As the “good” doctor treats them, he keeps his eyes peeled for the cute ones; the ones with that "something special" that the camera will absolutely love.

Once Duraz targets his prey, he whistles Ibrahim and Ishak Haqqani (whom he never travels without) into the office. As the bewildered young girl looks on, Siraj Haqqani’s uncle and cousin set up their equipment. Then its thumbs up and pants down as the monster physician forces himself on his unwilling victims patients.

When the horrible rape movie scene is complete, it’s humiliation, remorse, and despair cut, print, and ship. But a funny thing happened on the way to the Haqqani's home theater; somebody squawked.

Siraj Haqqani now had a big problem on his hands. Righteous Muslims, pious Muslims who send other Muslims to martyr themselves in jihad should be above reproach. They should be living a virtuous life in keeping with the tenets of the Qur’an and the Hadith. At the very least, they should be more virtuous than the Infidel they are fighting.

That’s the way good Muslims would see it, but not Siraj Haqqani. He saw himself as above Islamic law. In a word, he was a hypocrite. But by Islamic standards, what Siraj decided to do next made him even worse.

In order to protect his moral authority, Siraj had Dr. Hassan Duraz killed. He had the girls murdered. He emptied the Haqqani family pornographic video library and burned all the tapes – or so he thought.
By the way, if that name Siraj Haqqani sounds familiar, it should.

Obama's Code Pink Pal Met With Taliban

Waiting for the White House denunciation of this as fake news in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

And guess who divulged this bit of news? None other than aging traitor Jane Fonda
Last Saturday, My dear friends Jodie Evans and Max Palevsky, invited Richard and me to join them at their table at a fundraiser at the Armand Hammer Museum in Westwood. It was a good evening for lots of reasons. I had never been to the museum and definitely want to go back. Clearly it is a courageous place, very cutting edge. Then, too, I saw lots of friends I hadn’t seen in a long time and I sat next to Jodie who told me a little about her recent trip to Afghanistan with an American delegation that included a retired colonel, and member the State Department (Army Reserves Col. (Ret.) and ex-diplomat Ann Wright). While there, she met with people ranging from the brother of President Karzai, Afghan members of Parliament, activists, to warlords and members of the Taliban (emphasis added.) Jodie is co-founder of the peace organization, Code Pink, and always willing to go to any lengths to try and find out what’s really going on. Bottom line: everyone she met with wants the U.S. Military out of their country. They feel our presence there has brought more violence rather than security. Please read a short article she wrote about the trip which is on the Women’s Media Center website.
So what have we got here? Code Pink acting as Obama envoys to the Taliban?
There is precedent to suspect that Evans is acting as a conduit for the Taliban to Obama. In June, her fellow Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin hand carried a letter out of Gaza from the terrorist group Hamas addressed to Obama.

Over the seven years of its existence, Code Pink has acted as propaganda shills for the anti-American governments of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez, Bolivia’s President Evo Morales, Cuba’s Castro brothers and Iraq under Saddam Hussein, as well as Middle Eastern terrorist groups.

Fonda has her own history of working with America’s enemies. During the Vietnam war she visited North Vietnam in 1972 and was photographed manning an anti-aircraft battery used to shoot down American planes. Fonda also recorded propaganda radio broadcasts for the North Vietnamese communists
Here's Evans with Obama. Nice to see this woman so cozy with the President.

Great News: Obama To Announce Taliban Stimulus Plan

He can't do anything about rising unemployment in this country, but it appears Barack Obama is ready to cut some checks for the Taliban. I wonder if they'll also be able to receive ObamaCare?
The defense bill President Barack Obama will sign into law on Wednesday contains a new provision that would pay Taliban fighters who renounce the insurgency, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said on Tuesday.

The provision establishes a program in Afghanistan similar to one used in Iraq where former fighters were re-integrated into Iraqi society, Levin told Reuters.

Obama plans to sign the bill authorizing Pentagon operations for fiscal 2010 on Wednesday, the White House said.

Reaching out to moderate Taliban members is part of the Obama administration's plan to turn around the eight-year war in Afghanistan. Levin also has advocated trying to convince Taliban fighters to change sides by luring them with jobs and amnesty for past attacks.

Under the legislation, Afghan fighters who renounce the insurgency would be paid for "mainly protection of their towns and villages," Levin said.

It would be "just like the sons of Iraq," he said, referring to the program used in Iraq which military commanders say helped turn around a failing war.

"You got 90,000 Iraqis who switched sides, and are involved in protecting their hometowns against attack and violence."

The bill authorizes using money from an existing Commanders Emergency Response Program, which U.S. commanders can use for a variety of purposes. It does not set a specific dollar amount for the fighters' re-integration program.

There is $1.3 billion authorized for the fund in fiscal 2010, which began Oct. 1. The money must still be allocated by defense appropriators, who are working to finish the legislation.

As part of his overall strategy review on Afghanistan, Obama is debating whether to send more U.S. troops to the region and is set to meet on Friday with Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the heads of the military services, the White House said.

The meeting was "probably getting toward the end" of Obama's decision-making process, said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
This is the Afghanistan plan we've been waiting for?

Good grief.
