Terrorists Are Not Gay

Strange, isn't it, what will get people all riled up?

The anti-gay bias is disturbing, also, he said.

"It's ugly, as well, and it's sorry to see anybody expressing such unfortunate and strong bias against gay people," he said.

That anti-gay bias he is talking about stems from a video posted by somebody, allegedly a soldier, although I can recall the video years ago, of some soldiers on patrol in Iraq and kidding around with some Iraqi kids. At the time it was an indication of the improving conditions in Iraq, because obviously our troops had too much time on their hands and were having some fun.

In one scene some soldiers can be seen bantering with the kids and one asks if they are going to grow up to be terrorists and the kids give a thumbs up. Everybody involved knows these kids didn't understand a word that was said, but what has the civil rights types all bollocks up like a constipated Marlon Brando, is asking the kid if he was going to be gay.

Yup. Asking or kidding somebody about their sexual orientation is much more offensive then accusing them of wanting to grow up to be a terrorist.

In light of the actions of the gay community and their supporters in California after the defeat of the gay marriage legislation I think the connection is fairly valid.

So anyway, another young service member or members are being called onto the carpet for doing something that their counterparts sitting in a college somewhere in America would dismiss as being really amateurish in light of the crap that goes on in frat parties every week.

You know, I am tired of all the people who have such thin skin that they get offended when the color of the bands in their rainbow doesn't meet their expectations and I wish people would just tune them out and leave them blathering to themselves in the corner of the room.

I guess it is okay to have gays in the US military but don't you dare accuse the terrorists of being gay. I guess this attorney is a big supporter of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Just for the record, suicide bombers do not discriminate based on sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or national origin. There is no such thing as a 'smart' IED.

Muslim Students in Australia: We Have Special Needs, So You Better Accomodate Us

Here's a suggestion for these twits: If you don't like the rules at the universities, go back to the Magic Kingdom.

In the meantime, STFU and try to assimilate. Otherwise, get out.
MUSLIM university students want lectures to be rescheduled to fit in with prayer timetables and separate male and female eating and recreational areas established on Australian campuses.

International Muslim students, predominantly from Saudi Arabia, have asked universities in Melbourne to change class times so they can attend congregational prayers. They also want a female-only area for Muslim students to eat and relax.

But at least one institution has rejected their demands, arguing that the university is secular and it does not want to set a precedent for requests granted in the name of religious beliefs.

La Trobe University International chief officer John Molony said several students had approached the Bundoora institution about rearranging class times to fit in with daily prayers.

Mr Molony said the university was attempting to "meet the needs" of an increasing number of Muslim international students, including doubling the size of the prayer room on campus.

La Trobe University International College director Martin Van Run said that although it was involved in discussions with the Muslim students who had made the requests, the university was not planning to change any timetables.

"That would seriously inconvenience other people at the college and it is not institutionally viable," he told The Australian. "We are a secular institution ... and we need to have a structured timetable."

Mr Van Run said that Saudi students were fully aware that the university was secular before coming to study there. "They know well in advance the class times," he said.

A spokesman for RMIT University would neither confirm nor deny reports that Muslim students had requested timetable changes.

One university source told The Australian that the requests by Muslim international students for timetable changes included a petition.

"Some of the students would prefer that lecture times were organised so it would be easy for them to attend prayers," he said. "But it wouldn't be a good precedent to set."

Islamic leaders yesterday backed the push by Muslim students to have their lectures arranged to accommodate prayer sessions, but said such a move would be essential only for congregational Friday prayers.

Female Muslim leader Aziza Abdel-Halim said yesterday it was a religious duty for those who followed Islam to preach with their fellow believers on Fridays.

But the former senior member of John Howard's Muslim reference board said there was nothing in Islam that indicated men and women be segregated when it came to educational activities.

"There's nothing in Islam that says there should be complete segregation, especially in educational institutions," said Sister Abdel-Halim.
Ironic that these special demands come from Saudi students considering how non-Muslims and women are treated like subhumans in their country.

Seethe-o-Meter Ready to Blow

So that explains it

Rage, protests, seething all to follow.

You think those Mohamed cartoons riled up the restive Muslim population, wait'll they see this warning from a government minister in the UK.

Minister warns of ‘inbred’ Muslims
A government minister has warned that inbreeding among immigrants is causing a surge in birth defects - comments likely to spark a new row over the place of Muslims in British society.
Likely?
Phil Woolas, an environment minister, said the culture of arranged marriages between first cousins was the “elephant in the room”. Woolas, a former race relations minister, said: “If you have a child with your cousin the likelihood is there’ll be a genetic problem.”

The minister, whose views were supported by medical experts this weekend, said: “The issue we need to debate is first cousin marriages, whereby a lot of arranged marriages are with first cousins, and that produces lots of genetic problems in terms of disability [in children].”

Woolas emphasised the practice did not extend to all Muslim communities but was confined mainly to families originating from rural Pakistan. However, up to half of all marriages within these communities are estimated to involve first cousins.
This all seems quite obvious to anyone living in the 21st century, but good luck getting the message through, let alone not being forced to capitulate out of fear.

Hey, marrying your first cousin is apparently OK with some people, so who are we to judge, right?
Woolas, who represents the ethnically mixed seat of Oldham East and Saddleworth, has previously warned that Muslim women who wear headscarves could provoke “fear and resentment”. Yesterday, he was similarly outspoken.

“If you talk to any primary care worker they will tell you that levels of disability among the . . . Pakistani population are higher than the general population. And everybody knows it’s caused by first cousin marriage.

“That’s a cultural thing rather than a religious thing. It is not illegal in this country.

“The problem is that many of the parents themselves and many of the public spokespeople are themselves products of first cousin marriages. It’s very difficult for people to say ‘you can’t do that’ because it’s a very sensitive, human thing.”

He added that the issue is not talked about. “The health authorities look into it. Most health workers and primary care trusts in areas like mine are very aware of it. But it’s a very sensitive issue. That’s why it’s not even a debate and people outside of these areas don’t really know it exists.”
I doubt they'll be very sensitive when they're calling for the head of Mr. Woolas.

A Gay Old Time in the Muslim World

Oh man, fatwas are going to be issued all over the place after this report.

GAY OLD TIME IN SHARIA LAND
THE ayatollahs may not slap him with a fatwah as they did Salman Rushdie, but fundamentalist clerics are bound to be enraged at Michael Luongo over "Gay Travels in the Muslim World" (Harrington Park Press), his book celebrating homosexuality in the Middle East. Luongo who compiled chapters by 17 writers covering Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Bangladesh, Turkey and Saudi Arabia had the foreword written by Afdhere Jama, the founder of Huriyah, "the world's first magazine for queer Muslims," who, he claims, number 150 million.

"There is something intoxicatingly beautiful about an Arab man who paints his eyes with kohl," Jama states in the book.

Luongo writes about his quest to find some man-on-man action in Afghanistan. "I was painfully curious what a gay party would be like in Kabul, but at the same time, I wondered if I were being led into a trap. I wanted a scoop, but I didn't want to be a gay Daniel Pearl," he writes.

Ushered into a "special room for men," Luongo said he found they "were not men who sip cosmos and discuss 'Queer Eye,' there was no doubt about their masculinity."

He then has fantasies of being "passed around as a party favor at an Afghan orgy" before spending the night "caressing and holding hands" with a Muslim man who would now and then say, 'I wish you were a girl,' which I found oddly disconcerting, and made me wonder if all we were doing was displacement for affections he could not express otherwise."

The author adds: "The truth about many young Afghan men is that although they've lived through hardship, treat guns like fashion accessories, and murdered for their country to free it from the Taliban, strict Islamic rule means that they have never seen a woman naked."
No wonder these clowns are so frustrated with their lives.
