Code Pink Skanks Inject Themselves Into Egypt Story

As Americans and other foreigners cue up to escape the chaos in Egypt, it's curious to see far left agitators Code Pink pop up in Cairo.

Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin Wednesday headed up a dozen Code Pink banner-bearing activists in Cairo's Tahrir Square -- a scene she said descended into a bloody "war zone" as "government thugs" battled pro-democracy demonstrators.

But Benjamin told us by cell phone just minutes also that while the government of Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak government has now signalled it will "go down kicking and screaming,'' pro-democracy protesters are fully determined and "ready to die here."

We caught Benjamin just after midnight Egyptian time as she retreated from the embattled square in Cairo -- in a country where Internet coverage is just returning after days of blackout. Benjamin, a longtime Bay Area progessive [sic] activist, has been in the region since Monday with Code Pink and said the lack of Internet connection has been frustrating.

But she noted it couldn't stop her and the Code Pinkers who took to the square Wednesday, parading a large banner in both Engligh and Arabic, reading: "The World Says It's Time For Mubarak to Go."

It's not as if they witnessed the beginnings of an uprising and decided to just head over there. No, it was more accidental. They were waylaid while on the way to see their terror pals in Gaza. Always the opportunists.

The international CODEPINK delegation had been en route to Gaza via Egypt but with the Rafah border closed they are unable to enter Gaza, and remain in Cairo. The activists will stay in Cairo until they can safely make their way to Gaza, where they intend to continue their delegation for peace.

For interested media, she leaves a number she can be reached at. After all, it's not about a struggle for democracy, it's all about face time for cloying media whore Medea Benjamin.

In the meantime, a couple of stooges who traveled with Code Pink wound up being rescued and helped out of Egypt by some evil oil company executives. Leaving them there would have been a more potent lesson.

Good News: Violent Leftist is Dead

I'm shocked the AP even refers to this spawn of Satan as a leftist. Usually these people are referred to as activists. OK, well they wait until the third paragraph for that.

Marilyn Buck, a violent leftist incarcerated for 25 years for her role in some of the most notorious radical acts of the 1980s, including the bombing of the U.S. Capitol and a deadly armored car heist, has died in Brooklyn. She was 62.

Buck had been paroled July 15 from a federal prison hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Her death Tuesday was confirmed by federal probation and parole agencies. Friends and supporters wrote that the cause of death was uterine cancer.

Buck belonged to a clique of anti-war and civil rights activists who took up arms in the 1970s and became involved in a series of politically motivated attacks on government and corporate targets.

On Oct. 20, 1981, she was part of a group of Weather Underground and Black Liberation Army members who ambushed a Brink's armored car carrying $1.6 million at a mall in Nanuet, N.Y.

One guard was killed at the scene. A second was badly wounded. Two police officers were subsequently killed after they pulled over one of the getaway cars.

Buck accidentally shot herself in the leg during the gunbattle with police, but she escaped and remained free for four years.

During that time, she was involved in a series of bombings that included a 1983 nighttime blast at the Capitol that didn't hurt anyone but damaged Senate offices. The bomb was purportedly placed to protest the U.S. invasion of Grenada.

After her 1985 capture in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., she was convicted in the Brink's robbery and a string of other crimes.

Few tears are being shed for this monster.

Will Kennelly, owner of Kennelly's Grill House on Route 9W in Congers, helped arrest Buck in 1985 outside a Dobbs Ferry diner. Kennelly was a detective with the New York City Police Department assigned to the federal Joint Terrorist Task Force.

"I am not shedding any tears for her," Kennelly said Friday. "She helped kill three men and destroyed three families. I am certainly not in mourning. Her death is the ultimate justice."

Rockland District Attorney Thomas Zugibe, an assistant prosecutor at the time, said he would "pray for her soul, but I am not mourning her loss."

"We will never forget the central role she played in the Brinks bloodbath, as well as the escape of cop killer Joanne Chesimard," Zugibe said. "She was released early because she was dying. Knowing the slain officers, I wouldn't have been that merciful."

Teabagger Terror Bomb Plot Foiled

Oh, sorry for the confusion. It wasn't Tea Partiers. Which is probably why you won't hear much about this story. It was some of those charming environmentalists.

A routine traffic-stop in Switzerland has allegedly thwarted eco-terrorists from blowing up the site of the £55million nano-technology HQ of IBM in Europe.

The three members – two men and a woman – of the Italian terrorist group Il Silvestre were stopped just a few miles from their target with their explosive device primed and ready to go.

Italians Costantino Ragusa and Silvia Guerini, together with Italian-Swiss Luca Bernasconi, were arrested and jailed after a search of their vehicle revealed the bomb.

Guerini and Constantino – the 33-year-old leader of Il Silvestre - already have convictions for eco-terrorism offences and have served jail terms.

The group describes itself as anarchist and is opposed to all forms of micro-technology as well as nuclear power and weapons.

Swiss police said today that their car was halted on the night of April 15 at Langnau en-route to the technology centre at Rueschlikon, near Zurich.

The site is due to be opened next year and already has some of the most complex and advanced computer equipment in the world installed in it.

'A large quantity of explosives was found,' said a police spokesman.

He said the amount of explosive would have caused far more devastation than the Ruetli explosions of 2007. The Ruetli meadow near Lake Lucerne was the scene of small bombs detonated near the homes of politicians in that year.

IBM spokeswoman Susan Orozco confirmed 'an incident' but would not say more.

The Swiss Federal Prosecutor's Office in Berne confirmed the arrest and said the investigation is 'ongoing'.

The IBM facility that the Il Silvestre group was targeting is still under construction. When finished, it will contain the most state-of-the-art facilities in Europe for nano-and-bio-technological research, with the probability of billions of pounds in profit for IBM.
Investigators are quizzing the suspects on whether the planned attack is part of a new co-ordinated wave of terror against such facilities on the continent.

Swiss media reported that the intended bombing was planned to coincide with a secret meeting of European anarchists on April 16 and 17 in the Swiss town of Winterthur.

Quick, someone alert Bill Clinton. It's time he reign in his former VP and environmental hero Al Gore and ask him to stop preying on our fears.

Leftwing Freakazoids Plan to Crash April 15 Tea Parties: 'Find a Suit at a Thrift Store or Something, Look Real Professional Like'

I guess these drooling morons think this is some kind of secret.

On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:

1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.

2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299

3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.

Gee, nobody is opposing them? I guess the 99% of media coverage that slantsnegative has gone unnoticed in these anarchist circles.

Stepping back for a minute, I guess maybe they are reading the Frank Rich's of the world, since they're under some deluded notion that fascists, anti-semites and racists are attending tea parties. Silly people. Those types are generally on the left, but hey, if the left didn't project they'd have to come to grips with the racists, fascists and anti-semites in their ranks.

Sadly, these neanderthals are also under some weird impression that health care will be free for them. Aren't they in for a rude awakening when they grow up and aren't on mommy and daddy's coverage any longer.

Helpfully provided are a list of links to tea party groups so you can "spy" on them. Oooh, how very clandestine.

Safe to say tea partiers have long caught on to these creeps. Some of the comments are priceless.

Someone should go to one of these rallies (maybe as a prop with a copy of "atlas shrugged" obtained from the library or more likely the trash bin) and pretend to be one of these libertarian nutters using all the talking points to slam militarism. Go on about Blackwater, Haliburtin, Caterpillar and others for being the mass recipients of corporate welfare (use the words welfare and moochers as much as possible, mention no-bid and cost-plus contracts) and US militarism as a huge drain on taxes without any practical improvement in US world standing (get ready to have to explain how US foreign policy contributed to 9/11) or benefit for taxpayers. Play the part, of a randroid-propertarian as near as possible but rail against these things and you will help wedge the nutty neo-cons away from the name-thievy "libertarians" by driving at the main (or so it would seem) conflict between the ideologies.

Find a suit at a thrift store or something, look real professional like.

'Mostly Peaceful' Activists Riot Before Geneva WTO Meeting

Recall back in the summer when Tea Party protesters were portrayed as "raucous" and "angry mobs" by the lamestream media? Well, get a load of how these leftwing anarchists are portrayed in this dispatch out of Geneva.

Anti-capitalism demonstrators smashed windows of banks and watchmakers in central Geneva today during a violent protest against the World Trade Organisation.

Several people dressed in black used mallets to break windows at Credit Suisse and other institutions during the demonstration by some 3,000 mostly peaceful people.

They also smashed windows at a Starbucks cafe.

A Reuters reporter at the scene said some demonstrators seemed to be smashing windows at every building they passed.

Protesters also set off fireworks in the Swiss city's main shopping street, which was lined with police in riot gear.

The demonstration was called to protest against the WTO's three-day ministerial conference that starts on Monday.

Police spokesman Patrick Puhl confirmed protesters set fire to four cars and broke shop windows during a march Saturday.

Puhl said other acts of vandalism were also committed during the march.

Activists say trade policies adopted by WTO members create poverty in rich and poor countries by squeezing farmers in developing countries and depressing labour standards in industrialised nations.

Violent Tea Partiers Disrupt G-20: 'This is What a Police State Looks Like'

Oh, they're not tea partiers? They're leftwing anarchists?

Never mind.

In spite of a strong police and army police presence, around 300 protestors managed to congregate just minutes from the summit venue, the David H Lawrence convention centre, where Prime Minister Gordon Brown will meet with the leaders of the other 18 countries plus the European Union.

Police threw canisters of pepper spray and smoke at marchers as US President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, arrived for a meeting with leaders of the world's major economies.

The protest close to the summit largely involved members of a Free Tibet lobby group, as well as individuals demonstrating for more jobs, and one man whose face was daubed in black and red paint and was seen taunting officers.

Police managed to contain the scuffle, however, with the giant "ring of steel" surrounding the summit venue, ensuring no protestors managed to get even close, although chants from the crowd could be heard at the convention centre.

Elsewhere in the city, there were reports of rocks being thrown at buses in the Bloomfield district, where the windows and ATM of one bank were damaged.

Many local businesses prepared for the summit by boarding up their properties, while around half of the shops, restaurants and bars in the downtown area – close to the summit – have closed for the duration.

Police have been drafted in from around the country to cope with the protests, with officers from Tuscon, Arizona – some 2,100 miles from Pittsburgh – seen stationed outside the PNC Bank headquarters, while soldiers, special agents and Federal Bureau of Investigation staff are also visible in and around the city.

In the city's Lawrenceville district, about a mile from the summit venue, police deployed tear gas in order to disperse crowds after warning everyone in the area to "leave the immediate vicinity regardless of your purpose." Protestors responded by throwing bottles at the officer.

Funny, but despite the media portrayals of Tea Parties as raucous and angry, we never saw any scenes like this.

According to Pittsburgh police, 24 people were arrested during the day and another 42 people were arrested overnight as protesters and students thronged in the city's Oakland section, home to the University of Pittsburgh. Police said six people were treated for injuries and other medical problems, including heat exhaustion and reaction to pepper spray; two people were taken to hospitals, but details weren't available.

Protesters complained about the city's response, saying their rights were trampled and that violence would not have broken out if police had allowed the marchers their say.

Jesse Ericson of the Pittsburgh G-20 Resistance Project, an umbrella organization of protest groups, condemned the city for a "bumbling and violent police action."

The G-20 Resistance Project has encouraged "affinity groups" to protest Friday morning at companies that it says represent greed, exploitation, warfare and other social ills, with potential targets including banks, Starbucks, McDonald's, grocery stores and a Marine Corps recruiting center.

In a stunning development, this report actually put a label on someone.

The National Lawyers Guild, a liberal legal-aid group, said one of its observers, a second-year law student, was among those arrested during the march. Its representatives were stationed among the protesters, wearing fluorescent green hats.

Others are whining about a police state.

Later Thursday, hundreds of protesters, including a handful of anarchists, massed near the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden where the G-20 summit was beginning with a welcome ceremony.

"Tell me what a police state looks like. This is what a police state looks like!" the protesters chanted as several hundred riot police blocked them from getting any closer.
