Code Pink Skanks Inject Themselves Into Egypt Story

As Americans and other foreigners cue up to escape the chaos in Egypt, it's curious to see far left agitators Code Pink pop up in Cairo.

Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin Wednesday headed up a dozen Code Pink banner-bearing activists in Cairo's Tahrir Square -- a scene she said descended into a bloody "war zone" as "government thugs" battled pro-democracy demonstrators.

But Benjamin told us by cell phone just minutes also that while the government of Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak government has now signalled it will "go down kicking and screaming,'' pro-democracy protesters are fully determined and "ready to die here."

We caught Benjamin just after midnight Egyptian time as she retreated from the embattled square in Cairo -- in a country where Internet coverage is just returning after days of blackout. Benjamin, a longtime Bay Area progessive [sic] activist, has been in the region since Monday with Code Pink and said the lack of Internet connection has been frustrating.

But she noted it couldn't stop her and the Code Pinkers who took to the square Wednesday, parading a large banner in both Engligh and Arabic, reading: "The World Says It's Time For Mubarak to Go."

It's not as if they witnessed the beginnings of an uprising and decided to just head over there. No, it was more accidental. They were waylaid while on the way to see their terror pals in Gaza. Always the opportunists.

The international CODEPINK delegation had been en route to Gaza via Egypt but with the Rafah border closed they are unable to enter Gaza, and remain in Cairo. The activists will stay in Cairo until they can safely make their way to Gaza, where they intend to continue their delegation for peace.

For interested media, she leaves a number she can be reached at. After all, it's not about a struggle for democracy, it's all about face time for cloying media whore Medea Benjamin.

In the meantime, a couple of stooges who traveled with Code Pink wound up being rescued and helped out of Egypt by some evil oil company executives. Leaving them there would have been a more potent lesson.

As President Barack Obama formally declared an end to combat operations in Iraq this week, the anti-war movement that helped sweep him into office — and that worked for seven years to bring U.S. troops home — finds itself struggling for survival.

Several factors — war fatigue; a deep, lingering recession; and the presence of a Democratic president they helped elect — have drained the energy from organizations that led the fight against the Iraq war. Some of the most influential anti-war activist groups that once summoned half a million people to march against the Iraq war and the policies of President George W. Bush are straining to raise the money and attention to fight what they see as Obama’s military entrenchment in Afghanistan.

“We don’t have a very vibrant anti-war movement anymore,” lamented Medea Benjamin, founder of Code Pink, one of the anti-war movement’s most visible organizations. “The issues have not changed very much. … Now we have a surge [in Afghanistan] that we would have been furious about under George Bush, yet it’s hard to mobilize people under Obama. We have the same anti -war movement and not the same passion.”

MoveOn.org, which produced a 2007 anti-war newspaper ad labeling Gen. David Petraeus “General Betray Us” for the surge in Iraq, has largely been silent, despite a similar U.S. strategy in Afghanistan with Petraeus at the helm. Cindy Sheehan, perhaps the most famous anti-war protester, believes the peace movement is over. And United for Peace and Justice — once the largest of three major anti-war coalitions — has practically dissolved.

Leslie Cagan, UPJ’s founder, resigned last year after nearly seven years leading the group.

“I was totally exhausted,” said Cagan, 63. “I have a long history of anti-war activism — about 45 years — but the last eight or nine years have been totally intense. In a post 9/11 world, it’s just nonstop.”

Fighting your own country all these years can really take a toll, huh? What a washed-up Communist to do? Well, now their battlefield has shifted. Rather than supporting America's enemies, their primary mission is propping up the people they helped elect.

After fighting the Bush administration for the better part of a decade, the anti-war movement can barely draw public attention to Afghanistan because of kitchen-table issues like the worsening economy, the increasingly unpopular health care overhaul and high unemployment. Meanwhile, the leaders have kept their grumbling about Afghanistan mostly to themselves, to keep Obama’s sagging poll numbers from sinking further or jeopardizing the Democratic majority in Congress.

“A lot of the people who were part of this movement have retreated,” Code Pink’s Benjamin said. “They wanted to give up on the timetable [for withdrawing from Iraq]. Some are still reluctant to criticize a Democratic president now with the midterms coming up.”

So it was never about the troops and all about politics.

Thanks for clearing that up, Medea. All this leaves Cindy Sheehan very confused.

“I basically think that it’s over,” Sheehan said. “And the reason that it’s over is that so many of those same groups that you’re talking about supported Obama. … I just don’t think that if you’re anti-war you can support somebody who is for war.”

Mother Sheehan is still a diehard. She thinks Obama's a war criminal.

Tolerant Obama Supporters Attack Karl Rove

I blame Frank Rich, Barack Obama and the Democrat climate of hate for egging on these psychopaths.

About 100 fans came out to hear Karl Rove at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills Monday night to discuss his book "Courage and Consequences: My Life As a Conservative In The Fight," -- but the fight wasn't contained to his book.

Anti-war protesters came out, some rushing the stage, to call Rove a "war criminal" and worse.

The fans came to get their books signed, but they never got that chance.

One woman, the co-founder of the anti-war group Code Pink, approached him with handcuffs and said she was there to make a citizen's arrest. Jodie Evans charged him with "outing a CIA agent...you lied to take us to war..." and "totally ruining the country."

KCAL 9's Dave Bryan was there and said Rove "was shouted down and forced to leave the stage."

Another woman screamed at Rove, "The only comfort I take is that...you're going to rot in hell."

Rove, meanwhile, charged that the people shouting him down were an example of the "totalitarianism of the left...they don't believe in dialog...they don't believe in courtesy. They don't believe in first Amendment rights for anyone but themselves."

Conveniently omitted from the story, of course, is Jodie Evans is a bigtime Obama fundraiser. You would think the president would call off the dogs at some point. It's rather unseemly his supporters have zero tolerance for free speech.

Why isn't the FBI rounding up all Code Pinkos members right now. This is beyond the pale, and while they may think it is an expression of their First Amendments rights, they need to be made aware that along with personal rights comes personal responsibility.

Fresh on the heels of their Hamas-protected trip to Gaza, the so-called feminist, American antiwar group Code Pink, co-founded by top Obama funder Jodie Evans, is running banner advertisements on the English language version of the official Web site of a terrorist sympathizing group, the Muslim Brotherhood, one of which invites the Muslim Brotherhood to “join us in cleansing our country.”

The next time these senior citizen, dementia suffering, post menopausal women get arrested in Pakistan they need to be left there to rot.

I wonder if Janet Nincompoop would be interested in putting them on some sort list, besides her Christmas card list?

Bottom line: If you give money to Code Pink you are funding the very people who want to kill you and every day, somewhere around this globe, carry out some sort of act of violence directed at innocent people.

It was a good evening for lots of reasons. I had never been to the museum and definitely want to go back. Clearly it is a courageous place, very cutting edge. Then, too, I saw lots of friends I hadn’t seen in a long time and I sat next to Jodie who told me a little about her recent trip to Afghanistan with an American delegation that included a retired colonel, and member the State Department (Army Reserves Col. (Ret.) and ex-diplomat Ann Wright). While there, she met with people ranging from the brother of President Karzai, Afghan members of Parliament, activists, to warlords and members of the Taliban (emphasis added.) Jodie is co-founder of the peace organization, Code Pink, and always willing to go to any lengths to try and find out what’s really going on. Bottom line: everyone she met with wants the U.S. Military out of their country. They feel our presence there has brought more violence rather than security. So what have we got here? Code Pink acting as Obama envoys to the Taliban?

There is precedent to suspect that Evans is acting as a conduit for the Taliban to Obama. In June, her fellow Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin hand carried a letter out of Gaza from the terrorist group Hamas addressed to Obama.

Over the seven years of its existence, Code Pink has acted as propaganda shills for the anti-American governments of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez, Bolivia’s President Evo Morales, Cuba’s Castro brothers and Iraq under Saddam Hussein, as well as Middle Eastern terrorist groups.

Fonda has her own history of working with America’s enemies. During the Vietnam war she visited North Vietnam in 1972 and was photographed manning an anti-aircraft battery used to shoot down American planes. Fonda also recorded propaganda radio broadcasts for the North Vietnamese communists

'If There is a Radical Leftist or Two in the Group, I Don’t Care'

On the upside, this idiot admits Code Pink is a radical leftist group. On the downside, he admits his newspaper is hopelessly biased, has no standards, and he doesn't give a shit about it.

And they wonder why the newspaper industry is dying.

If any of you went into your bosses' office and said you don't care about standards and fairness, how much longer would you be employed?

A Detroit Free Press editor expressed regret Monday that left-wing and anti-war activists were included in a focus group of so-called independent voters the newspaper interviewed during the political conventions, but said he didn’t see the harm in having a “radical leftist or two” in the group.

In response to questions posed to the would-be independent panel, two members of the anti-war group CodePink — as well as two other liberal activists — offered praise of Barack Obama after his Democratic presidential nomination acceptance speech. A week later they turned the tables and ripped into Republican Sarah Palin’s vice presidential nomination acceptance speech. Their comments appeared online and were excerpted in the Free Press’ print edition.

“I wish that it weren’t the case that there were two people from an activist group and we didn’t know about it,” assistant managing editor Randy Essex said of the CodePink members.

Nonetheless, Essex defended the panel’s results.

“If there is a radical leftist or two in the group, I don’t care,” Essex told FOXNews.com. “I want a robust conversation, a complete range of political viewpoints.”

The four activists were part of a group of seven self-described “independents.” Nine Republicans and 11 Democrats were also on the panel.

This is what is known as making up news. They were fully aware how stacked the deck was and they just didn't care because they want to create the impression there's more independent support for Barack Obama than there is for John McCain.

Which we now know is not nearly the case.

Who Let Them in the Building?

A couple of Code Pink skanks somehow finagled their way into the XCel Center last night and nearly rushed the stage while Sarah Palin was speaking.

It would be interesting to know how they managed to get so close to the stage.

A pair of Code Pink activists just got to the very edge of the stage and were a moment away from apparently running on stage, right by the Kentucky slot on the floor next to a host of McCain's most senior staffers.

Secret Service men grabbed them at last minute and literally dragged them out.

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster, who oversees security inside the convention hall, said the two California women had authentic credentials and had worked their way to the side of the stage backdrop. The women never made it on stage, McMaster said, but they did shout obscenities during the speech. As the women tried to push their way toward the stage, McMaster said, a sign language interpreter was bumped and slightly injured.

My suspicion? Someone in the media gave them passes.

Denver Police to Lock Up DNC Detainees in Metal Cages

Forget watching the silly antics of the Democrat Convention. I'd rather see coverage of the theater of the absurd outside, as human debris of all kind gather to make a nuisance of themselves.

Now this news comes along showing how the scum that gets arrested could be warehoused in metal cages.

Oh, the humanity. Maybe with any luck we can get video access of what goes on in there as well.

Some protesters arrested at the Democratic National Convention could be jailed in a city-owned warehouse, complete with metal cages and barbed wire, CBS4 News has learned.

Investigative reporter Rick Sallinger discovered the location and managed to get inside Tuesday for a look. The newly created lockup, in a warehouse northeast of Denver, contains dozens of metal cages made of chain-link fence material, topped by rolls of barbed wire.

Each of these fenced-in areas is about 15 feet by 15 feet, with a lock on the door.

A sign on the wall reads "Warning, electric stun devices used in this facility."

Sallinger showed video of the warehouse to Adam Jung of Tent State University [Tent State? -ed.] and Zoe Williams of Code Pink, leaders of groups that plan to demonstrate during the convention. "This is very bare-bones and very reminiscent of a political prisoner camp or a concentration camp," Williams said.

"That's how you treat cattle," Jung said. "You showed the sign where it said stun gun in use. And you just change the word gun for bolt, and it's a meat-processing plant."

The Denver Sheriff's Department would not discuss the facility. Instead, the sheriff's department said late Tuesday the mayor's office would be releasing a statement about it early next week.

Nothing like overwrought hyperbole, comparing a possible arrest at a political convention with people who've suffered and died in real concentration camps.

Of course, these people don't give a shit about political prisoners in Communist countries. Why else would the leader of Code Pink have lived in Cuba?

How About Deporting Her to Zimbabwe?

Pakistan to deport Code Pink protesters

Pakistan authorities today ordered the deportation of the leader of the feminist U.S. antiwar group Code Pink, who was in Lahore to join protests against the emergency rule imposed by President Pervez Musharraf, according to a spokeswoman for the group.

Medea Benjamin, a co-founder of the group, said she was arrested at a student demonstration by agents of the Pakistan Inter-Service Intelligence and detained for about four hours before being released with orders to leave the country tomorrow morning. Pakistan officials told Ms. Benjamin that she was being deported for joining illegal protests.

"I'm OK — a little shaken up," Ms. Benjamin told The Washington Times by telephone from her hotel in Lahore. "They mistreated us."

Ms. Benjamin said she feared for her life as the agents held her at gunpoint in a car speeding through the city to the police station.

"I thought I was going to die in the car," she said. "They totally terrorized us."

From being mistreated to terrorized in one breath.

It's a shame Pakistan can't keep her.

Code Pink, it should be noted, was co-founded by the pro-Fidel Castro, pro-Hugo Chavez communist activists Medea Benjamin and Jodi Evans. In 2004, this organization helped establish Iraq Occupation Watch, whose stated objective was to thin out U.S. forces in Iraq by causing soldiers to seek discharges as conscientious objectors. During the last week of December 2004, Code Pink joined Global Exchange and Families for Peace in donating a combined $600,000 in medical supplies and cash to the families of the terrorist insurgents who were fighting American troops in Fallujah, Iraq.

Code Pink and the Out of Iraq Congressional Caucus are ideological soul mates. Unfortunately for America, the OICC can do something Code Pink cannot do: set American policy.
