Good News: Only 30% Certain to Vote for Obama

If he uses I, me and mine more than 50 times during his speech tonight, that number most assuredly will plummet further. Kinda almost makes you nostalgic for those glory days of early May, huh, Bammy?
Americans are growing more dissatisfied with President Barack Obama’s handling of the economy and say it will be hard to vote to re-elect him without seeing significant progress over the next year and a half.

By a margin of 61 percent to 37 percent, a Bloomberg National Poll conducted June 17-20 shows Americans say they believe that Obama will have had his chance to make the economy “substantially better” by the end of 2012.

Only 30 percent of respondents said they are certain to vote for the president and 36 percent said they definitely won’t. Among likely independent voters, only 23 percent said they will back his re-election, while 36 percent said they definitely will look for another candidate.

“As far as the economy goes, I don’t see that he has delivered on the change that he promised,” said Sharon Ortiz, a 38-year-old independent voter from Hampton, Virginia, who supported Obama in 2008. “The jobs that he promised -- I haven’t seen it.”
Neither has anyone else, despite the daily fiction peddled by this most incompetent president we've ever had. Still, the media is doing their best to prop this failure up by making weak analogies to Ronald Reagan.
Obama’s ratings dip is reminiscent of former President Ronald Reagan’s early years in office when he was struggling to manage a slowing economy. Seventeen months before Election Day, Reagan’s presidential approval rating was 43 percent -- and he won a second term in a landslide. Obama’s overall job approval stands at 49 percent, with 44 percent disapproving.
One huge difference: Reagan faced an overwhelmingly hostile media while this guy has enjoyed the most glowing press of any president in history. Imagine how low Obama would be if he faced a tenth of the bad press Reagan got? Also, think about where he'd be if the ATF Gunrunner scandal received the proper attention.

Is Hugo Chavez Dying?

As the eternal optimist, we can hope for the best, and reports trickling out seem to indicate the Venezuelan psychopath may be in much worse condition than has been reported.
Venezuela's voluble and ubiquitous President Hugo Chávez hasn't returned to the public eye after a surgery in Cuba that has friends and foes alike speculating about the state of his health and the future of his rule.

Mr. Chávez has been in Cuba since June 8, when he was felled by a pelvic abscess for which he underwent an operation two days later. Soon after, Venezuelan officials said the flamboyant leader was in good health but would recuperate in Havana for a "few days."

Those few days have stretched to 11, punctuated by false alarms over the date of his return. On Monday, a ruling party lawmaker said Mr. Chávez was hours from touching down in Caracas and urged his supporters to prepare a "tremendous" welcome for him. The claim was quickly refuted on the Twitter account of Venezuela's Communications Minister Andres Izarra.

On Tuesday, Mr. Chávez made another virtual appearance. In a statement posted on Mr. Izarra's Twitter account, he lamented the death of another Venezuelan official who had sought medical treatment in Cuba.

"We don't know very much about [Chávez's] health, there is no official news, only partial reports," said Chávez critic Teodoro Petkoff, a former presidential candidate and current editor of the opposition newspaper Tal Cual.

Mr. Chávez raised concerns when he said, during a call to a Venezuelan television station two days after his operation, that there were no "malignant" signs found, a former top Venezuelan health official said.

The former official, who asked not to be named, pointed out that a pelvic abscess—a pus-filled cavity that can result from injury or infection—is a reaction to a condition. "His choice of words was a red flag," the official said.

The former official also said there was a possibility that Mr. Chávez would be hospitalized when he returned to Venezuela, another potential sign of the severity of his ailment. If it was a matter of simply treating an abscess, Mr. Chávez would likely not need a hospital at that point, the official said.

Once a slender tank commander and would-be major-league baseball pitcher, Mr. Chávez has cultivated an image as a health-conscious sportsman. But 12 years in power have taken their toll.

Mr. Chávez, 56 years old, has gained a lot of weight since his days on the mound, works long hours and is known for drinking quarts of coffee daily. Nevertheless, he seemed poised to resume a full schedule in early June after a knee injury had sidelined him, when he left Venezuela for visits to Brazil, Ecuador and Cuba.

In Cuba, he suffered acute pain during a meeting with former Cuban leader Fidel Castro and was rushed into surgery.

Since then, Mr. Chávez has been nearly invisible, except for a phone call into a Venezuelan television station on June 12, two days after his operation, and photographs of Mr. Chávez wearing a tracksuit in the colors of the Venezuelan flag as he is flanked by Fidel and Raul Castro, published in the state newspaper Granma on June 18.

In a three-paragraph note, Granma assured its readers that Mr. Chávez was in close communication with top Venezuelan officials and was "on top of the principal issues of his country."

The mystery surrounding Mr. Chávez's health is a throwback to the Cold War secrecy which persists in Cuba, one of the last Communist governments left standing.
Imagine how dreadful medical care must be in Venezuela when this maggot has to go to a hellhole like Cuba to have surgery. Here's hoping whatever treatment he's getting is botched and he soon joins his Marxist idols for a permanent dirtnap.

It's a shame our administration here has no clue what it's doing with foreign policy. Sure seems to me like this is a golden opportunity to some some damage to the Chavez regime. But that would be assuming Obama was opposed to Chavez and his reign of terror.

Stunner: Another Corrupt Democrat Facing Ethics Investigation for Sexual Harassment

One of those Democrat shining stars, an impeached judge, is now facing investigation after allegations of sexual harassment.
A congressional ethics panel is investigating allegations that Florida Democratic Rep. Alcee Hastings sexually harassed a member of his staff, according to people familiar with the matter.

The investigation of Mr. Hastings is being conducted by the Office of Congressional Ethics, the House's independent ethics investigative arm, and it is at a preliminary stage.

It began at least a month ago after Judicial Watch, a conservative group, filed a lawsuit as the legal counsel for Winsome Packer, a staffer on a commission Mr. Hastings headed. She alleged that she had been sexually harassed by the congressman and that he retaliated when she tried to report it.

At the time, Mr. Hastings was chairman of the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a group set up in the 1970s to monitor a Cold-War era pact. Ms. Packer, a Republican, also worked for the commission.

Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, said his organization has been contacted by House investigators. "We can confirm that Ms. Packer is cooperating with the Office of Congressional Ethics," he said.
Since feminists have long declared sexual harassment in the workplace to be among the worst crimes known to man, we expect a full-throated condemnation from NOW. Any year now. It's coming, trust me.

Packer sued Hastings in March, a story that received scant notice from the state-controlled media. So great to have that protection when you're a Democrat.

NY Post Headline of the Day

The New York Post has had a glorious month of June, most notably with their memorable headlines during the Anthony Weiner scandal. Well, now that Weiner's gone (for now at least), they haven't lost the golden touch. Witness today's gem leading to the story about a Fairleigh Dickinson professor involved in an prostitution ring. Short, sweet and to the point.

We love it.
This physics professor was a little too interested in human anatomy.

A college teacher from the Upper West Side known as a nerdy scientist and doting grandfather had a shocking second life -- running a New Mexico-based prostitution ring that sold high-priced hookers to randy rednecks, police said yesterday.

David Flory, 68, of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey -- a specialist in quantum theory and its relation to astronomy -- will need more than an advanced degree to beat the 40 felony counts of promoting prostitution that landed him in an Albuquerque jail cell on $100,000 bail.

"I'm floored. This would be the last person on earth I'd expect to hear this about. This isn't the same David Flory I knew," said Alexia White, a city teacher who once sublet part of Flory's apartment.

"I'm completely shocked. It would be like my own mother doing this."

Flory's high-security "Southwest Companions" had an impressive client list of about 1,400 johns, whom he hooked up with a stable of 200 cybersluts. They included Phoenix hooker Andrea Moorehead, who offered a $1,400 date that promises "two hours out/two hours in," police said.

The pervy professor, who reportedly told cops it was merely a "hobby," conducted all his risky business out of a luxurious adobe vacation home in Santa Fe called Casa de Los Arboles, or "House of the Trees" -- and right under the nose of his psychotherapist wife, Sharon.

In Manhattan, the couple lives in the posh Belnord Building on West 86th Street, where they count Matt Damon among their neighbors.

"Everyone's talking about this, no one can believe it," said one resident. "He comes out in a big cowboy hat and wears a Western medallion on his belt. He thinks he's a cowboy but he's nerdy, really nerdy."
Always keep an eye on those nerdy types. I tell you, they're always up to something.

WH Briefing: Democrats Laugh When Obama Claims 2.1 Million Private Sector Jobs Created

It's come to this. Even the White House press releases contain laughter when Obama makes up job numbers. Some intern will not ddoubt be the fall guy.
As a consequence of that swift, decisive, and sometimes difficult period, we were able to take an economy that was shrinking by about 6 percent and create an economy that is now growing, and has grown steadily now over many consecutive quarters. Over the last 15 months we’ve created over 2.1 million private sector jobs. (Laughter.) We have an auto industry that, for the first time in a very long time is profitable, and the Big Three automakers actually gaining market share, and not only gaining market share, but also gaining market share in the cars of the future so that they’re actually competing in compact cars and sub-compact cars and electric cars and hybrids.
He deserves to be laughed at. Where on earth is he coming up with these fictitious job numbers?

Update: Sure enough, these peabrains went and changed the (Laughter) to (Applause). You see, Obama's the mentally challenged kid in the class. You can't make fun of him, so pretend Little Baracky's doing a wonderful job!

Lame. Very lame, indeed.
At 4:04 p.m. on Tuesday, the corrected transcript appeared: Laughter changed to applause, and noted with an asterisk. The White House declined comment on the record.
Good thing his media stenographers are on the job!

Of course the U.S. economy has shed at least 2.5 million jobs since this boob took office, but let's just pretend he's doing a bang-up job.

Crazed Man Resumes Preaching to Crickets

If Keith Olbermann takes to the airwaves on a station with test pattern ratings, does it make a sound? In case you didn't know, the deranged former MSNBC blowhard started a show Monday night on an obscure cable outlet and pretty much picked up where he left off: With a cast of washed-up lefties, kook fringe bloggers and rants about the usual suspects--Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc.

Yawn.
Keith Olbermann didn’t waste any time feeling out his adversaries last night as he resumed his “Countdown” show on its new Current TV home.

Five months after his abrupt departure from MSNBC, Olbermann front-loaded a clip of GOP Sen. John McCain criticizing fellow Republicans for what McCain called isolationist views on U.S. military aid to rebels fighting Libyan President Muammar Qaddafi.

When McCain wondered what Ronald Reagan would say, Olbermann cut off the clip and sharply declared Reagan would say “nothing. He’s dead, he was a lousy President and he helped keep Qaddafi in power.”

As Olbermann had promised, the new “Countdown” sounded a lot like the old one – sometimes bemused, sometimes cranky, sometimes outraged. His first guest list included old friends like filmmaker Michael Moore, who talked about Libya; former White House Counsel John Dean, who talked about potential financial conflicts of interest for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas; and reporter/commentators Kenneth Vogel and David Schuster.
John Dean? When was he last relevant, about 35 years ago?
Some of Olbermann’s targets were equally familiar. He resurrected his “worst person in the world” feature, which he has said he hopes will have a humorous rather than nasty tone, and third place on the first night went to Sarah Palin. Olbermann noted she had trademarked her name for, among other things, educational and entertainment purposes, and said, “Sarah Palin, educational purpose? That patent is an idiot.”

He criticized conservative talk hosts Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and Mark Levin for integrating advertisers into their commentary. The fact he pronounced Levin’s name “LEH-vin,” rather than “Le-VIN,” suggested he may not be a regular listener.
Imagine: Having an audience large enough that you're able to integrate advertising into your show. What a novel concept.

Olberdork also had on the diminutive psychopath Markos Moulitsas, last seen humiliating himself in the wake of the Anthony Weiner scandal.
He did, however, let contributor Markos Moulits from The Daily Kos rip into MSNBC and, in particular, MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough. The show ran four minutes long, in fact, largely because Moulits got on such a roll charging that Scarborough was allowed to “dictate” guests even on other MSNBC programs.

Olbermann delivered no audible amens, smiling and letting Moulits fire the heavy artillery
The fact the reviewer misspelled the name Moulitsas suggests he may not be a regular reader. That's his good fortune.

If you haven't eaten already and need to purge, here's the opening segment:

Man Robs Bank So He Can Get Free Healthcare: 'I'm Sort of a Logical Person and That Was My Logic'

I'm wondering if this loser's logic included the likely reality he'll be getting gang-raped in prison. Well, maybe there's a little something in his impending "free" healthcare that'll ameliorate that pain.
A 59-year-old man has been jailed in Gastonia, N.C., on charges of larceny after allegedly robbing an RBC Bank for $1 so he could get health care in prison. Richard James Verone handed a female teller a note demanding the money and claiming that he had a gun, according to the police report.

He then sat down and waited for police to arrive. "… I say, 'I'll be sitting right over here, on the chair, waiting for the police,'" Verone told reporters, recalling the June 9 robbery in an interview from Gaston County Jail.

And wait for the police, he did.

"He's sitting on the sofa as you walk in the front door," the bank teller said in a 911 call.

Police arrested Verone where he sat. He was unarmed.

Verone said he asked for $1 to show that his motives were medical, not monetary, according to news reports. With a growth in his chest, two ruptured disks and no job, Verone hoped a three-year stint in prison would afford him the health care he needed.

"I'm sort of a logical person and that was my logic, what I came up with," Verone told reporters. "If it is called manipulation, then out of necessity because I need medical care, then I guess I am manipulating the courts to get medical care."
Maybe the Democrats can used this clown as one of their mascots. Point out that Americans are so helpless and bedraggled they have to resort to crime in order to receive medical attention. He'll be out in a year so he can hit the campaign trail with Obama to remind of of the joys of ObamaCare.

U.S. Communist Leading 'Non-Partisan' Gaza Flotilla Aboard 'The Audacity of Hope'

Seriously, there's a boat called The Audacity of Hope? Well, it's flying under the United States flag, is filled with assorted human debris (naturally) and is being led by a hardcore Communist in an attempt to break the Gaza blockade.

Memo to the Israelis: Feel free to do whatever necessary to stop these goons.
Passengers on a US-flagged boat, The Audacity of Hope, spoke at a press conference Monday to discuss their plans and reasons for joining the “International Freedom Flotilla II – Stay Human,” a flotilla intended to break the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza.

It is estimated that people from more than 20 countries will participate in the eight to ten boat flotilla, which will sail the last week of June, in part from Greece. One quarter of the participants on the US boat, which will have 36 passengers, are American Jews.

According to a letter the Audacity of Hope group sent to US President Barack Obama, in addition to 36 passengers, 4 crew members, and 10 members of the press, the US-flagged boat “will carry thousands of letters of support and friendship from people throughout the US to the women, children and men of Gaza. There will be no weapons of any sort on board."
Ten members of the press? Even more reason to consider them hostile enemies.
"We will carry no goods of any kind for delivery in Gaza," the group's letter read. "Our mission is from American civil society to the civil society of Gaza. We do not serve the agenda of any political leadership, government or group. We are engaged solely in non-violent action in support of the Palestinian people and their human rights.”
Oh no, they don't have any agenda? Really?
Leslie Cagan, the US boat coordinator leading Monday’s press conference, said the Israeli government acted with extreme violence against Freedom Flotilla I in 2010, killing nine passengers and injuring more than 50, and has threatened the use of attack dogs and snipers against this Freedom Flotilla II.

Cagan said, “Following the example of years of non-violent Palestinian protests, everyone participating in this project is deeply committed to non-violence. We hope and plan to arrive in Gaza City safely by the beginning of July. Any other outcome is the responsibility of the US and Israeli government's decision to maintain the illegal and unjustifiable imprisonment of 1.5 million people in the Gaza strip.”
I guess Cagan is a non-partisan or something.
Cagan cheered a January 2003 "peace" rally in Washington, sponsored by International A.N.S.W.E.R., which is closely allied with the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party. "This is A.N.S.W.E.R.’s dance, and they get to call the tune," Cagan said. "We are at a point where it is really, really critical that many, many groups come out and voice their opposition to this war. Some in the hard-core Left have taken the lead on that, and I applaud those groups for that."

Cagan strongly opposed the 2003 U.S. military strike against Iraq, which she characterized as nothing more than a thinly veiled oil grab. "Oil is not worth war!" read Cagan's UFPJ Website. "How much is the Bush administration's push for war with Iraq motivated by its desire to gain control of Iraq's oil fields?"

In 2004 Cagan co-founded -- along with Global Exchange founder Medea Benjamin -- the organization Iraq Occupation Watch (IOW), whose express mission is to encourage widespread desertion by "conscientious objectors" in the U.S. military.
It's not difficult to understand how "non-partisan" this group is.
"It's important that Jews are in this boat... The Jewish lobby in this country is so powerful," said New York labor attorney Richard Levy, himself Jewish.

"We cannot support an Israeli blockade which is morally and juridically unsupportable... No more people should be slaughtered in the name of the Jews."

Hillary Intern Now Doing Porn

Was Bill Clinton doing the hiring for his wife?
In 2006 she was suited and booted, appearing alongside Hillary Clinton as the then Senator's summer intern.

Fast forward five years and Sammie Spades has swapped the pantsuit for panties and a career in porn.

Ms Spades, whose assets include a 32DD bust and 26" waist, was planning on going to college in Buffalo, New York, when she met Mrs Clinton at a banquet and asked if she could intern over the summer months.

To her delight she was accepted at Mrs Clinton's Buffalo office. She did miscellaneous office work and no doubt made lots of coffee, but did dream of a career in politics.

'I was planning on becoming an attorney and then going into public office,' Ms Spades told TMZ.
She obviously picked a more reputable profession.
But alas, a couple of years after she left Mrs Clinton, Ms Spades ran into money problems.

She abandoned politics and decided a career in porn was the best way to pay the bills.

The star of Big Butts Like It Big 8 and White bubble Butts 4, never stopped admiring Mrs Clinton.
None of her flicks has Butterface in the title?

Remarkably, there are no reports she was DM'ing Anthony Weiner, although she of course is on Twitter.

Deranged Think Progress Loons: GOP Got Rid of Weiner to Protect Clarence Thomas or Something

The angry, racist left is on a jihad against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and are getting nuttier by the day. There lunatics seem to believe that Anthony Weiner was jettisoned at the behest of Thomas, not for tweeting his junk for all the world to see. Indeed, Weiner was obsessed with Thomas, as the left has been for over 20 years. But they're just getting carried away with themselves. The comments at their latest hit piece are comedy gold.

Such as:
One reason they went after Anthony Weiner so hard. He was going after Thomas hard, and his ignorance left those Repubs laughing all the way to the bank. He was one of the few who had the balls to take someone like Thomas on. No other Democrats have the balls to take this crook on, so we are just stuck.
Um, nobody in the GOP "went after" Weiner. He brought himself down and was forced out by his own party. How can anyone remember history when they can't remember last week? Literacy clearly isn't a strong suit at the liberal asylum:
I disagree Toni, the repigs are digging their grave//they will oppress the working class and the poor to make this country only for the 1% wealthy,do u comprehend what that means? unless your wealthy your in the ditch!!
Here's another Mensa candidate:
Is anyone going to do anything about it? No one made Vitter or Ensign resign...
Does she even realize John Ensign is no longer in the Senate? As to their pathetic obsession with David Vitter, the people of Louisiana overwhelmingly re-elected him last fall. Meanwhile, we're back to the nefarious "they" who made Weiner resign:
We, not only Democrats and progressives, but all the 'we's" out here are obliged to protect the rule of law and insist that our elected officials do their jobs. If we don't insist on it, it won't get done. If the Republicans can force Anthony Weiner to resign for legal behavior, what are the rest of us afraid of? Being aggressive? It's about time.
Seriously, what planet do these people live on? We close with this burst of pseudo-intellectualism. Nothing like thrown big words around without having the slightest clue what you're talking about.
Too often is resignation the remedy sought for the criminal behavior by the elites, either servants or officers of the government. A voluntary choice without legal repercussion. These criminals need to be held to account. Oh, but that simple task is beyond the means or willingness of our system of justice, as we are now most cognizant of the two tiered system of justice in this nation. Justice Thomas will continue to serve his masters without any reprimand. This is the age of oligarchic corporatism, plutocracy painted as democracy, we shouldn't expect anything more.
His masters? So what, he's a slave or something?

Change Communists Can Believe In: Obama Gets Coveted Kremlin Endorsement

They know a pushover when they see one.
When Hillary Clinton famously called for a “reset” of Washington’s relations with Moscow back in March 2009, she should have used the more accurate term, “surrender”. From caving in to Russian demands to scrap plans for Third Site missile defences in eastern and central Europe to signing on to the New START Treaty, US policy towards Russia under the Obama administration has been one wretched give away after another, even stretching as far as handing over sensitive information on Britain’s nuclear deterrent.

Is it any wonder that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is now openly calling for Barack Obama’s re-election? In an extraordinary interview with The Financial Times, the Russian leader gives a glowing account of his US counterpart, in a direct intervention in US domestic politics 16 months ahead of the November 2012 presidential election.
Obama may just want to get Medvedev out on the campaign trail with him. Can it get any more fawning that this?
… I believe I have been lucky in this respect at least, because my counterpart has been a modern man wanting change not only for America, but for the whole world order as well. You have kept on asking me about my presidency and whether I will stand for president again, or whether somebody else will come to office. Let me tell you that no one wishes the re-election of Barack Obama as US president as I do…

Mystery Bulge in Weiner's Tax Return

Um, I thought this clown was supposed to be in rehab? How long did that last, four days? Was he in rehab at all (I doubt it). Anyway, the disgraced Anthony Weiner may soon have more problems -- with the IRS.
Shamed former congressman Anthony Weiner is facing fresh accusations about his conduct in office, with claims he made unusually large tax deductions.

Records show that Weiner took $40,521 in unspecified itemised deductions on an income of $156,117 income during the 2010 tax year.

Meanwhile, his finance reports list his home in Forest Hills as the address of his campaign committee even though officially the committee pays for office space in Manhattan, it has been reported.

Speaking about the former congressman's 2010 tax return, Manhattan CPA Jonathan Medows said it appeared to include more than would be expected for his mortgage and standard state and local tax writeoffs.

'It's definitely a very large deduction,' he told the New York Post.

When approached about the return, a spokesman for Weiner refused to offer any details.

The claims come amid suggestions that the former congressman's marriage is at an all time low following the highly publicised sexting scandal.

They might have escaped to the Hamptons this weekend, but getting their marriage back on track may be the last thing Anthony Weiner's wife actually wants, it has been revealed.

For Huma Abedin, who is around three months pregnant with the couple's first child, feels hopelessly trapped with cyber love rat Weiner, a source told the New York Post.

'He could be having sex live on TV for the whole world to watch and she'd still feel like she'd have to stay with him for now,' the source close to the couple said.

Ms Abedin's devout Muslim family and closest friends, who at first rallied around Weiner, are now said to be furious with the ex-Congressman, who resigned from office last Thursday.
Meanwhile, he still hasn't formally resigned. Typical weasel behavior.

Miss California Wins Miss USA

Maybe it's just me (but I doubt it), but I think Miss Tennessee got hosed.
You're hired!

Miss California Alyssa Campanella was crowned the new Miss USA 2011, taking the title over first runner-up Miss Tennessee Ashley Durham—her best friend!

With a panel of judges including Rocco DiSpirito and Real Housewives' Caroline Manzo, E!'s own Giuliana Rancic and Bravo's Andy Cohen hosted the Donald Trump-owned competition held in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The pair sent off the 21-year old L.A. resident down the runway for her first official walk.

During the competition, Campanella had been asked about the legalization of marijuana, and apparently her answer—in which she said she wasn't sure that it should be legalized, but that she recognized its medical value—was a winner.

Finally: Schumer Resumes Sunday Press Conferences After Weiner-Induced Hiatus

The one silver lining of the sordid Anthony Weiner scandal was it pretty much drove his mentor Chuckie Schumer into hiding, too ashamed to show his face. Well, those precious days are history and the camera-loving New York Senator has picked up where he left off a few Sundays ago.
Discount buses' safety ratings should be easy to understand - and right out there for customers to see at ticket booths and in bus windows, Sen. Chuck Schumer said Sunday.

He called on the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to assess bus companies' safety records with a system of letter grades - like the one that gauges hygiene at city restaurants.

"This is a classic American way to get better bus safety," said Schumer (D-N.Y.), who predicted that bus companies with low grades would strive to improve their safety records to compete with "A"-grade bus lines.

"Why can't we separate the so-called wheat from the chaff?" Schumer said outside the Fung Wah Bus ticket booth on Canal St. in Chinatown.
Oh, so now it's so-called wheat, eh, Chuckie?

Thanks now to the ubiquitous presence of America's gadfly, people taking discount bus rides will breathe a little easier. A grateful nation thanks you, Chuckie.

Schumer also today accused the GOP of not wanting the economy to grow, because they obviously are thrilled to be mired in the dreadful Obama economy. Yes, Chuck, we want more people out of work. That's always helpful.

George W. Bush Throws Out First Pitch at College World Series

He's remarkably efficient. Comes out, shakes a couple of hands, takes the ball and darn near throws a strike. Brings back fond memories.

Imagine, almost ten years ago already.

That still gives me chills.

Compare it to this sap:

Obama Signals Extra Support for Fathers or Something

As Father's Day is now upon us, the first person I always look to for advice on how to be a better dad is Barack Obama, of course. It all revolves around government, naturally.
"We’ve boosted community and faith-based groups focused on fatherhood, partnered with businesses to offer opportunities for fathers to spend time with their kids at the bowling alley or ballpark," he said, "and worked with military chaplains to help deployed dads connect with their children."

Obama noted that he had grown up without his own father around, as well as some of the mistakes he's made with his own children.

"But between my own experiences growing up," he said, "and my ongoing efforts to be the best father I can be, I’ve learned a few things about what our children need most from their parents."
He then left for his 73rd golf outing as President.

Great News: Obama Confident That Weiner Will "Bounce Back"

Even the President can't resist the double entendres.

Sounds like he's almost rooting for Weiner to make a comeback, doesn't it?

Just not until after 2012, of course.

Who really cares what happens to Weiner now? Are we supposed to feel sorry for this loathsome jerkwad? His retirement is secure, he already has at least one lucrative job offer on the table, and I even hear Olbermann is getting pretty desperate for help.

He'll survive - minus any shred of dignity he may have left at this point.

All I ask is that he never return to public office.

Allen West: 'We Have a President That Has No Clue'

Representative Allen West appearing with Laura Ingraham today. He's not a big fan of the man-child in the White House.

As to DNC clown Debbie Blabbermouth-Schultz, West simply adds "she's delusional."

Well said.
