After her comments, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued a press release expressing his outrage. Dean called Coulter’s remarks ‘hate-filled and bigoted.’Please. Coming from a clown like Dean, it's laughable.
“While Democrats and Republicans may disagree on the issues, we should all be able to agree that this kind of vile rhetoric is out of bounds. The American people want a serious, thoughtful debate of the issues,” the press release read.
The Edwards campaign, who sure know a thing or two about bigots, wasted no time exploiting this in a shameless cash grab.
We must show that inflaming prejudice to attack progressive leaders will only backfire. If Edwards was so upset by it, why do they want to prolong the issue and make money off it?
Can you help us raise $100,000 in "Coulter Cash" this week to keep this campaign charging ahead and fight back against the politics of bigotry?
Granted, Coulter probably would have been better served calling him a flaming liberal or metrosexual. But she's a big girl and can defend herself.
Still, after a week in which liberals lamented the fact Vice President Cheney wasn't murdered and another demented lunatic called the Bush administration "liars and murderers," it's just a bit much to act outraged for someone throwing a mild slur at a presidential candidate.
Get over it.
UPDATE: Sister Toldjah has a good roundup on the leftwing hypocrisy.
UPDATE II: LGF has more leftwing insanity. Yeah, but let's talk about Coulter.
