Senator Clinton to urge freeze on foreclosures: report
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is expected on Monday to call for a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures and a five-year freeze on the rates of adjustable rate mortgages, the Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition.Socialists like Clinton never grasp that you cannot legislate how the market values items. If you set a price higher than market value, no one will buy it and if you set it below market value, no one will sell it.
Sources told Reuters on Friday that the U.S. Treasury Department was finalizing a similar plan with mortgage industry leaders.
The result of this move will be to make it practically impossible for anyone to get a mortgage.
If you think the housing market is screwed up now, just wait until you see what this does to it.
